Wow, that's great. Was trying hard to find tips for both coriander and mint leaves storing and at last, found it. Going to give it a try next time I buy mint.
I love this chef’s cooking style and fantastic explanation that he does in a short time period…. Kudos chef… I am following your videos since more than 5 years…
Useful video but I just do it the old fashioned way. Clean it in tap water, put the leaves, stems etc. on a cloth towel under a fan, then transfer them to a glass bowl and store them in fridge covered. Usually last for at least a couple of weeks. Zero plastic and more hassle free.
I appreciate the way you cleaned every part of coriander in a bowl of water without wasting water 💦and storing neatly. Also the mint leaves and storing it by covering it with a tissue! Great tip! Save water save life! Also, learn to use the minimum resources so that we all can have the satisfied great feeling of not misusing any blessings! May our good God continue to bless you.
How do I store coriander and mint for a long time? When it's cheap I buy in bulk and freeze it so I use coriander whole year round. Apart from this, I buy chili, okra, spinach, turnip, carrot, peas and cabbage in cheap season. And off-season vegetable my guests marvel at.
Thank u. I needed to store these. I used to wash it with salt and turmeric and keep it rolled in a tissue. It stays fr few days... But eventually rots.
Thanks for sharing the tips on how to store them. But you need add more water whoke washing any leafy greens n rinse them well a couple of times until the colon of the water is white
Wash well 3-4 times under running water...keep it on a sieve till water totally goes..then store in a plastic bottle in fridge ..not freezer ...will last for 10-15 days surely
I can't judtify using plastic Ziplock bags or wasting half-dozen paper towels. After cleaning, I wash the coriander, and blot dry it with a kitchen towel. Then I place it, in shade, on a splatter screen (use for preventing oil splashing from a skillet) for at least 24 hrs. I chop the stems separately from the leaves, and place them individually in glass containers lined with a paper towel just in case there is any trace of moisture left.. then feeeze. Whenever needed, I use them, as is, without thawing. Both stems and leaves test as flavorful as fresh.
I am a Malaysian 🇲🇾 and Chef for your information, Malaysian Satay or Curry does not use coriander root. U wash all the coriander in the same water, it is not clean and should wash separately.
It's absolutely wonderful...use of space saving zip lock...way of using water etc. As habitually you seem to be an efficient organizer... What do you think of using cloth to pat dry instead of paper towel as well.👏👌👍🏾
@@rajshrifood thank you for the compliments... it's because of you guys that i have some hope in me left...i dont wanna die before tasting you delicious and inprovised delicacies ❤️
I would suggest using a salad spinner to rid off water than wasting too many kitchen towels, then put in clip lock bag placing a piece of kitchen towel on the leaves and store in fridge which will last a week and fresh too. 🙏🏻❤️
Why did they store coriander in a zip lock and mint in a air tight box? Can we store coriander in air tight box? Also for how long coriander leaves can be stored
I just wanna take away all those plastic bags from you and hand you some jars. 😅 I usually freeze my herbs in glass containers which works really well.
Sir you have not mentioned how to store the stems - whether to cut it or not, whether to store in zip lock bag- in your video you have just kept stem aside on a plate after patting it dry - it is incomplete- please reply posiyively
Paper is decomposable and recyclable too. Not plastic. So he is recommending paper because cloth if you use to wipe the water the cloth becomes wet and how will it absorb the water again . U need to dry the cloth until to reuse . Common sense....hope my answer helps

Can we store the coriander leaves without washing and chopping?? What's wrong.
The coriander gets black in 2 - 3 days when stored the way Varun has recommended
Why did they store coriander in a zip lock and mint in a air tight box? Can we store coriander in air tight box? Also for how long coriander leaves can be stored
How much time store in freezer

Never discard any part of vegetable. Discarded parts must be chopped finely and put aside for composting.

I tried your method Sir...but am sorry to say it eventually rots within a week...
Idk why anyone would want to freeze it but cheers 🍻.
Because there are some regions that won’t have coriander throughout the year. it’s pretty seasonal, grown in winter. And mint is grown in summer
Don't promote plastics contain products
Say No to Plastic.
Don't waste paper either.
Please use less paper.
What a wastage of paper !
USE CLOTH TO PET DRY

DO NOT USE PAPER
