  • If you have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a gastrointestinal condition marked by cramping, gas, and diarrhea or constipation, your doctor may have recommended following what’s called a low-FODMAP diet to reduce your symptoms. A low-FODMAP diet limits or in some cases eliminates foods that are high in FODMAPs and emphasizes eating those that are low in FODMAPs.
