Rok leaves his $0.02 on the songs that OLLO community recommends for a listen. Morning sessions are what Rok has been doing for years as a part of research and development process at OLLO Audio. Now he's taking this public and shares his thoughts with the community. Using S4X studio headphones and competitors' studio models, he throws a comparison in to the mix every now and then. 😅. I feel like the vocal thing was purposeful. I don’t know much about mixing but there’s something very “Mark” about keeping it there. Think of him in the same general lane you would put Post-80’s Tom Waits. Mark is a Sonic painter who happens to be a musician. 😅🤷♀️. Just wanted to give context. I like to think made beautiful music for weirdos like me, lol. 💚
Kinda a weird point in his career to analyze. The stuff he did on Good Morning Spider and It’s a Wonderful Life are pure artistry. Songs intentionally sabotaged to keep them from potentially being hits.
Mark Linkous is a super underrated, absolutely one of a kind talent.
