Glad you got an answer on what's going on right now. Hopefully this can clear up and the next appointment will help determine how your vocal cords are 🙏!
Glad to hear you were able to learn what was at least causing the current main issues! Wishing you all the best with your investigations and recovery, LOVE listening to your singing ❤
Look into Ken Tamplin. He has a vocal course on youtube, and his main gist is growing and maintaining the voice, also has some videos on how to treat certain vocal ailments. Definitely worth checking out.
I don't know if you work with a vocal coach, but If you don't, I think you should get opinions other than your natural reflexes. What I've noticed from listening to your range video is that yhe genres you sing seem to be risky for the voice (mostly the rasp). Also what I've heard is that your voice sounds a little bit squeezed, as in you're giving too much air/strenght when it looks like you could sing it much more effortlesly. Also, opening your mouth too wide for every note may cause problems, I think it causes too much tension. You know your voice the best, though.
What a relief to hear that it wasn't a nodule or a polyp! I wish you a speedy recovery Brady.
What a relief to finally have an answer. You sound so much better. Hopefully the infection clears up quickly. Rest well!
