      I'd either stick to pills or get the non hormonal copper iud. You never know how hormones will effect you and getting a long term hormonal option means having surgery (minimal invasive but still) twice. I got the match stick in my arm and lord I hated it and felt like I had to prove I hated it for my doctor to take it out where eventually it traveled up my arm. The shot made me bleed like a cow for 2 weeks straight after 2 months I figured that meant the hormone was running out in my body but they wouldnt give me another shot until month 3 and then I started spotting. The ring came out on my boyfriends dick during sex twice lol it's not supposed to and idk wth we did so crazy but not comforting. I had the least amount of issues with regular pills and the nonhormal iud.

    Do IUD's rupture uteruses?
    if so how bad can it be?
    Is the probability of ruptured uterus by using IUD's more or less than the probability of having trouble having kids(and other complications)with hormonal control.
    I was set upon IUD's but on research (Google) found some negative feed back. And can't really ask anyone even tho my mum's a gynecologist 👍

    I love condoms just fine they work and I have yet to get pregnant it’s been 5 years. I don’t like the feeling of being pressured to use a HBC because you can still be safe with just condoms and yes they can rip that’s where a plan B comes in at!

    • @Carla-kb1xd
      @Carla-kb1xd 4 роки тому +3

      Yeah Plan B is great and all but if you weigh more than 165 it doesn’t work as well. Also if you take the Plan B a lot it will mess up your liver and organs and mess with your cycle. It is called Plan B for a reason not Plan A. If you are going to have sex I have found that using a condom and spermicide together works better.

    • @jaylabrown9561
      @jaylabrown9561 4 роки тому +2

      Anzelle Klopper I disagree I’m well over 165 and it has worked well. I have not taken it constantly because I know how to use condoms correctly so there’s no constant use for the plan B, and nothing is 100% effective I don’t spermicides as they irritate my skin down there so that’s a No go. This was for girls that are so freaked out about being on HBC and thinking they’ll end up pregnant. Which idk why when the same thing can happen being on that poison anyway.

      Yeah you're cool. It goes in the arm and you don't have to worry about it for three years. Tho I would suggest that you make sure your body is okay with the hormones.
      If you don't want kids at all and want a permanent solution, talk with your partner and your doctor about tubal ligations for women and vasectomies for men. Just a warning though, the younger you are, the higher chance of failure for tubal ligations in 10 years.

    Hey,i have a big question if someone who knows can answer. I'm learning about these different methods for when i get married one day. I wouldn't want my wife to be on hormones so i figured copper IUD would be the best. Do sperm and the other cell(forgot the name)come into contact? Like do they merge and then a baby starts developing but then the IUD kills it?

    • @trawrtster6097
      @trawrtster6097 3 роки тому +2

      @@lydiatheglimmermaid Copper IUD primarily works by damaging sperm with copper ions released form the copper and by bringing white blood cells to the uterus (because an IUD is a foreign object) to also destroy sperm. It may affect a fertilized egg, but that's a _MAYBE_ . Fertilized eggs, even when someone is not using birth control, regularly (in approximately 10-30% of cases of conception) get flushed out in a period before implantation or get lost in early miscarriage, mostly due to genetic abnormalities or chance. Not to shame or minimize the pain of those grieving from miscarriage, but if you're *REALLY* worried about trying to minimize fertilized eggs being lost, it's actually prudent to use more effective forms of birth control such as an IUD since lower effectiveness rate means more likelihood of a fertilized egg being formed and then lost. I don't mean to tell you what to do with your body or what birth control to use, but let's not spread misinformation here.

    How to use Calendar family planning?

    • @harringt100
      @harringt100 5 років тому

      There are a few methods of family planning that are simply based on when ovulation is estimated to occur in a cycle of a given length, but two of the most commonly used ones are the Knaus-Ogino method and the Standard Days method. To use the Knaus-Ogino method, figure out the lengths of all your menstrual cycles out of the last 12 cycles. Subtract 19 from the length of your shortest cycle (in days); this is the day of your cycle that opens your estimated fertile window. Then, subtract 10 from the length of your longest cycle; this is the last day of your estimated fertile window. To prevent pregnancy, avoid unprotected intercourse between these two days. You need to keep recalculating your "safe" days each time you have another cycle, if the length falls outside your previous range. The Standard Days method can only be used by women with regular cycles that fall between 26 and 32 days. In this case, days 8 through 19 of every cycle are considered fertile. These methods are rather ineffective because few women have the kind of consistent cycles that are assumed by the method rules, and even women who usually do often find that they suddenly don't due to stress or illness, which can cause delayed or early ovulation. And then there's the fact that abstaining from sex for twelve days out of a cycle can be difficult for people in steady relationships.
      If avoiding pregnancy is important for you at this time, I really recommend you look into a symptoms-based fertility awareness method of birth control. These require getting some degree of instruction, but are much more effective. They determine the fertile window much more precisely based on scientifically studied ovulation markers such as cervical mucus, basal body temperature, and urinary hormone metabolites. This both greatly reduces the risk of unsafe sex due to early or delayed ovulation and generally reduces the fertile window to a more manageable amount of time. Thus, these methods have significantly lower failure rates, like 0.4-3% with perfect use as opposed to 5% for the Standard Days method and 9% for the Knaus-Ogino method. Look into sympto-thermal methods such as Sensiplan, the SymptoTherm Foundation, Justisse, Natural Family Planning Teachers Association, etc.; cervical-mucus only methods such as Creighton and Billings; Fertility Education and Medical Management (FEMM--primarily uses cervical mucus, and also urinary tests which detect the luteinizing hormone); and the Marquette method (uses a monitor that tests for urinary hormones and other signs optionally.)

    • @agees924
      @agees924 4 роки тому

      Calendar planning in addition another non hormonal birth control is also a good way to go. That brings the failure rate down even more.

Valeria it’s recommended that you do to prevent any pregnancy as well as helping with irregular periods or complicated period symptoms some women it’s harder to get pregnant so birth control isn’t as necessary but if you want to be as risk free as you can and not end up pregnant then it’s better for you to be on birth control many people are afraid to because of the hormones and side effects but it’s just a matter of finding the right one for you there’s some even more natural ways that are 100% secure but many women swear by them it’s just a matter of how much you’re willing to risk and don’t forget to always use a condom to avoid any infections and diseases

      Any weight gain associated with birth control is due to water weight, so it's not weight gain, it's just bloating, if you get it. If you gain weight, it's because you aren't being active enough or you're eating too much. I gained weight because I stopped exercising and lost it when I got off my butt again. All birth controls have side effects and some women get them while others do not. If you go into taking BC thinking you're going to get all these symptoms, you are. And it will freak you out so do your research and do what is best for your body. If you think it will help then try it out. Don't give up on it after the first month, your body needs time to adjust to the hormone change so you may feel nauseous for the first few days or a little acne may show up but that's not too bad. Talk to your doctor, do what's right for you either way.

    • @LeAnnaWithACapitalA
      @LeAnnaWithACapitalA 3 роки тому

      I would highly advise to not rely on the calendar method (aka tbe rhythm method, or period tracking apps with the intention of avoiding pregnancy). This is because they are based around the idea that every women has 28 day cycles and ovulates on day 14. While this may be true for some women, for the majority it isn't. Also, your cycle tends to fluctuate, even by a day or 2 every cycle due to many cause (stress being a big one). The calendar/rhythm method and period tracking apps cannot take that into accont and go based on the previous assumption. The app does go a step further but still it is all a guess.
      Now if you still want to avoid hormonal birth control, I would highly recommend using a fertility awareness based method. I personally use the sympto thermal method. There are rules as well but essentially I track my cervical mucus, basal body temp, and cervix position/texture to know where I'm at in my cycle. Women are only fertile about 5-7 days in a cycle so knowing when you're fertile can help you to avoid or achieve pregnancy, depending on your intent. If you want to learn more, check out the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It teaches science behind your body and why it does what it does and what it all means. Even if you dont decide to use it for birth control, I would highly recommend reading to make the best informed decision for you. I would also recommend working with an instructor if you really have a zero intent to get pregnant.
      For the record, I have used the method to both successfully avoid and achieve pregnancy (when we wanted to try for a child).

      oof Based on the way ovulation works, you can possibly get pregnant a week or two before you would have had your very first period. The chance of this is slim but it can happen.

      These kind of pills can be used only few (or in 'emergency') times, because the effectiveness of the substances gets lower every time you use them. It's better to use birth control, or if not, a condom has 98% effectiveness and it prevents STD.

    The hormonal IUD gave me PMDD. It really messed up my life. It caused me to fail a lot of my courses this semester so I have to retake them. My partner almost left me. Thankfully, everything is back to normal, my parner and I are okay, and I have the ability to retake stuff that I failed. But holy cow, the difference hormones can make. Be careful! They tell you hormones are localized to the uterus in the hormonal IUD and they're not. 😥

    If they only listened to him, "Do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves, for the day will come when they say, blessed is the womb that never bore and the breasts which never nursed," yet prime think god wants them to keep breeding
    Just legalize and make available a pewceful way to go to sleep forever, half of the world right now would say thanks and go to sleep, and probably almost everyone at some time would take the peaceful way to be gone instead of going through death, don't know if you've ever been through death, I've been there many times just never died, if you go through it, it doesn't matter if you had a million mansions or a million lays, in they moment you will with you had never been born, at least legalize and make it available for yourselves so you can escape death yourselves, and if you try on your own, you may wake up with life to lived still, but with less if a body, and so life will just be worse for you, have a good one, use your brain and live to make the planet better before you go through death, or maybe you will just go to sleep peacefully when you want and never know anything anymore, and never exist again, peace, it's your life and your death experience, and in life you can maybe change how death will have to be your and others, either way you will go through whatever you will, hopeful availably peaceful where you don't even know, you just go to sleep and never wake up, that simple, if you've ever been down for surgery you know, you could have died in your sleep and your never know it feel it, when you never even felt the surgery
    The problem is that a few people who want to live forever believes that everyone else does to and they prevent compassion and a way for people to peacefully cease existing, enjoy the planet all you who want to still exist in it
