I started this one about 3 years ago since my doctor recommend it instead of the regular pill due to my migraine risk. it’s been working really well for me. It helped me with my hormonal acne, made me less bloated and stopped my binge urges so I ended up losing some weight. I take it without breaks for convenience and have no spotting, pain or anything. When I did take the breaks my period was much lighter and less painful. Before I struggled with really heavy bleeding, cramps, mood swings and nausea. Also didn’t have any issue mixing it with other medication like medikinet for my adhd. Definitely improved the quality of my life a lot. I guess I just got really lucky getting what works best for me first try
I definitely dont have predictable periods on slynd. I had no bleeding the first year I was on it and now have weird spotting that will occure one day of the month, but the exact day is unknowable even with a year of tracking it. Typically the 2nd week but not always.
Isnt't Desogestrel used in the US/Canada? I think it is/has been the "standard" mini-pill in Europe at least before Slinda/Slynd and it has e.g. much longer missed pill window than 3 hours.
Please do your hormonal test before you take any birth control. I took for year aviane without knowing my estrogens were high and I didn’t need a regular birth control . So this cause uterine thickness and posible hyperplasia and. Ow going for biopsy 😢
I started taking Slynd a little under 2 months now and have experienced extreme weight gain recently (10lbs in a week). I haven’t done anything to change my diet or exercise and other than the gain I feel fine. Does this pill have a high risk of weight gain?
10lbs in a week makes it just water weight you have gained since it's impossible to gain that much fat in that time frame. You should probably speak with your doctor about this though since that much water weight in one week seems unusual.
Doctor just prescinde this for my missing periods . 43 and periods stop due to high estrogen so she have me this pill which only contains progesterone. I too much estrogen thick my uterine wall and can cause cancer so please get a hormonal test before any birth control

SLYND is contraindicated in females with conditions that predispose to hyperkalemia (e.g. renal impairment, hepatic impairment, and adrenal insufficiency).
First period on Slynd was the heaviest of my LIFE ! HUGE blood clots, passed out from blood loss and now Anemic! Doctor prescribed Norethisterone 5mg 3x a day for 10 days to stop the flooding. Then guess what happens after you're done the 10 days....you get your PERIOD in 2 to 3 days !! Ive already been bleeding for 3 weeks! So weak. HORRIFIC PILLS 😮update! As predicted i started bleeding 3 days after finishing my script. Right back to HUGE CLOTS and Flooding. WHAT NOW 😒
I love Slynd. I have been on it for years and have no issues. I take it to skip my period and it’s wonderful.

I was on Lo Loestrin but just got slynd and I also skip my period so hopefully slynd will be good for me as well!!

Ok so what happens if the pill dissolves in your mouth but you still drink water with it and got it all down?
I looked for information on this and it seems to be a common occurrence. All they recommend is to ensure you swallow the pill right away.

Taking slynd for heavy peri periods has worsened my situation. How long do I take it to “wait it out”? I am on my fourth month.

My NP recommended me to switch from Lo LoEstrine to Slynd. I’m experiencing some hormone imbalance issues right now - will Slynd balance it out?

So its a no no if u have liver tumor but benign?Its focal nodular hyperplasia..
Since it raises potassium, can it also give you liver and kidney problems?

Slynd has anti androgenic properties which technically should make it more favourable for those with acne.
Have u take it? My gynecologist also prescribed me for acne and i never took it becoz of side effects
