Italy is so various and beautiful everywhere. Throughout its history, Italy has always been divided into small municipalities, its union is a fairly recent thing. But the cultural differences (dialect, culture, food) have all remained. Just a few kilometers away and it seems like you are in another country. That is why, for me, Italy is one of the most beautiful places in the world, precisely because of its variety! So my advice is to travel as much as you can! Anyway, benvenuti!
Thanks for your comment,Riccardo. I agree that Italy is many countries in one. We’ve been here now over 5 years and have many intriguing stories that we plan on sharing each week. Thanks for joining us. Auguri@@riccardocostantini6560
Welcome to Italy guys, greetings from Bologna. I used to travel a lot to US and I still do it in a certain way but the older I get the more I realize Italy is a great place where leading a simple healthy life although it's certainly not a perfect place
@@d8889 I appreciate your sentiment. Once you settle into the pace of life here as well as the mindset, it’s hard to think of going back to the stress of the U.S. By the way, we LOVE Bologna Centro Storico!!!

@@roberto6536 Thanks for your point of view on this, Roberto. The simple life we are enjoying is here in the Sicilian countryside. Compared to the very complicated life we left in California it is simple. What we mean by “simple” in this context is the holistic, stress less lifestyle that leads to longevity. In this context, it is a very good thing. Now, having spent extended time in Rome & Palermo I would NOT call that simple. As you will see in subsequent videos, we feature some of the ancient methods of doing things that are all but lost in modern society. Thanks, again, for your comment. Auguri!
I was born in San francisco. I lived there for the first 11 years of my life. But then my parents (who are italian) moved back to Italy (tuscany)...where I still live now.
