I absolutely love watching you cook, and it is nice to see you put your own twist on things, I have been picking up some of your tips too, I have only just found you and got hooked, Thankyou, xx
That’s a proper lasagna , you cooked that to perfection. The focaccia bread looked amazing . Better than you would get in any restaurant. Thank you 🙏🏼⭐️😜👍
Hi dinner lady i have just discovered your channel and it's great you are such a good cook. And your cooking videos are so entertaining and informative. This one was really good as i love lasagna. Keep up the good work.
Recently discovered your channel and absolutely bingeing it. You are a proper home cook and love that you film in your own kitchen, no fancy studio kitchen. Really loved the cheats white sauce definitely doing that in future
I am going to have to try this because I am intrigued with the bechemel just on the top. I would happily come home from a hard days work to a bowl of this. The foccacia looked so tasty
Hubby thinks it's his birthday everyday ❤ looks stunning 😍 I make. Roux for my white sauce and add a little to every layer of the lasagne, yóur way looks easier lol I'll try it next time....😊
Omg what an amazing dish, I so love your recipes, and you make it look so easy, and straightforward, looking forward to more, thank you so much for sharing,💗💕
I've binged watched some of your recipes, you can tell you love baking bread, I've never fancied focaccia, but I fancy some now 😊 lasagne lovely meal, thanks for sharing x
I am really going to try this recipe. It looks so yummy and I love bread, sourdough and focaccia. Thank you so much. I live so far away and you remind me of so many happy memories!
I’m an experienced home cook and home baker but I’ve been feeling so ‘uninspired’ recently, when cooking meals. My son (11 years old), he’s very particular with new textures and flavours but I have to say-you’ve given me so many ideas for our family meals. Thanks! This looks amazing x
When I used to make lasagne, I made twice the amount of white/cheese sauce, I put a smear of the sauce on top of the pasa sheets, not much, just a smear all over the lasagne sheets then the meat sauce again, that's how my mum made it so that's how I learnt to make it. When I was bringing up my kids, as they got older, they decided that Christmas eve tea would be lasagna but one year I made it using chunks of chicken and ham, 2 thirds chicken to 1 third ham, it had 3 layers of the chicken and ham in a cheesy white sauce and 2 layers of lasagna sheets then extra cheese on top of the top layer, it was a great success and untill they left home for uni and beyond, we alternated 1 year regular then the next, chicken and ham, their choice, btw, the ham was from the big tins of ham you can buy .
Once again I wish that I was sitting down to dinner with you folks. Thank you. Looks delicious once again! Enjoying just watching you cook madam, so effortless!
Awww that squelch at 22:28...reminds me of the 'Stabbing in the Boot'-scene in 'Good Fellas'!!😅 Am l the only person who doeant like ready meal Lasagne? I only likes their own homemade Lasagne. Same with meatballs: l only like the ones l make. Personally l always make a roux cheese sauce for mine. Was taught to make a cheese sauce this way at school - 50yr ago! - why break a habit of a lifetime?! I always seem to do a different style of layering as l always forget how I'd done it the last time. But l rarely finish with the sauce and grated cheese...maybe next time 🤔 Watching this at 11pm....and l want to eat a big plateful now with a big chunk of the focaccia. Sod the heartburn!😂❤ Looks lovely!
❤Lushmy favourite to make Never made the white sauce without butter interesting.I add sauce in middle its.always cheese not just white .OMG the bread 🍞 its super.
Hello from Virginia in the US. I just recently found your channel and I spent some time going through your recipes. Everyone in my family is a better cook and I lack confidence in doing dinners. You are helping me by all the encouragement you give as you are demonstrating how to make the meal. I really enjoy watching you and I love how your husband enjoys your cooking ❤ Again, love your channel. 🌹
hi l have just found your site l have tried other cookery sites on u tube but l think yours is by far the easyest to follow great recipes down to earth and fabulous l am your no 1 fan from now on
Ooh that looked absolutely gorgeous..I saw a tip for breaking up your mince.. You break it up with your fingers and drop it in the pan, hate handling it but it works well…I will be trying that focaccia..it looked fantastic..thanks lovely x
Looks delish, I am certainly going to be pinching your white sauce recipe. I was making it from a roux, this is kind of similar. I bought my hubby a mixer lol so he will be cracking on with the bread he he. Just found you. This is proper food and I enjoy watching other people create something delicious, its one of life's pleasures to enjoy good home made food. Thanks so much.
Gorgeous! Just love you two. Can't stop watching you cooking and how easy you make it for the ordinary cook. Love how Mr Taste Tester shoves it right in my face - I'm sure he does it to make me jealous. Which he does 🤣🤣 Thank you so much for sharing. x By the way have you tried the Baby Chestnut Mushrooms they have lots of flavour in them. I never use any other mushrooms.
Love watching you here in Virginia, U S A.Just learned about five years ago that Yorkshire pudding is bread, made some by your recipe, amazing.Thank you. Will keep watching, learning so much.Love your accent.❤❤❤
My husband loves lasagna but I am not a pasta person but I love focaccia, I made mine differently because my dough is very soft and wet ( high hydration dough) as I love the big holes in the middle.
I always thought that after assembling, the lasagne had to stand for hours to allow the sauce to soften the pasta. Obviously not! I learn something every time😊
Lovely.you are so sweet love watching you cook .mouth watering food you and your husband is so homely.l love the way you let s you’re husband tastes your food first.
I’m surprised you don’t have more views, you are a good cook, and those guys that review all that dreadful ready food from the supermarkets get so many views.I don’t know if you know or not,but lasagna is made differently in the States,no white sauce is used here, the meat sauce is the same, but it is also layered with ricotta cheese which is usually mixed with some Parmesan,an egg, oregano,or basil, then it’s layered alternatively with the tomato sauce, and the whole thing is topped with mozzarella, never cheddar.,and the sauce usually gets basil too.I was a restaurant pastry chef,we made focaccia, and you really don’t need to mix the olive oil in,usually you put the oil into the pan then the focaccia on top, then top it with more olive oil,and your toppings,we also started our focaccia with a biga, which was rested overnight in the fridge,it gives the focaccia much more taste.I look forward to see what tasty dinner you are making tomorrow, actually tonight as it’s 7 pm your time.
The people that review the "dreadful ready food from the supermarkets" are trying to help people out who are not confident cooks and have very little time from having to work so many hours to afford the money to feed their families and trying to find the best quality and best value for the least buck. Everyone is struggling so much right now, and so we're easily attracted to what might seem a good deal, and so we are grateful for them doing those review videos because it saves people with little money taking a chance on something that might not be worth paying out for. Don't knock them, please. And Mand, I am loving your videos. I really hope you keep going. I know its early days, but already you have shown this seasoned cook some new ways of doing things and I love the dynamic with you and your Hubbs. Him getting so hungry while you're cooking a tasty dinner lol I'm a southern English gal, but my husband was Geordie, and I just feel an affinity with your warmth and welcome into your kitchen and home. I'm really looking forward to your future videos and glad I found your channel :)
Thank you so much i have been cooking all my life and just want to show how easy it is .......we do have a warm and welcoming kitchen when ever kids grandkids friends come it is the first thing we ask are you hungry ill make you something its just me i agree the reviews are personal taste and not to everyone's 1 pound for 2 pies and you can bulk it out with chips or mash and maybe veg or anything else when my kids were little it was a struggle and was what have i got to make a meal xx
Brilliant lasagna,I prefer your way of having white sauce on top. I’m going to have a go with the foccasia bread to. You are amazing, after watching your videos I’m so hungry. Love marilynx
can you do more layers of pasta? Also I usually put some sort Italian herbs in my Lasagne. I am usually not a great fan of white sauce, but yours looks like its is not too creamy, as you only put in the top. Any way it is so nice to see a cook that follows a traditional English way of cooking. Hello from Australia. I am binging on your fabulous programme. Well done.
Hello, I have a question about your white sauce that you put on your lasagna, I have never seen that done before. What does it taste like?
