    Came here for bread inspiration but got a trip down memory lane. Dallas in the '80s, live music, and the food scene. I'll be surprised if I hadn't met one or the other of you back in the day, not that my memory of those times is so good...

    Hi Guys, it’s all about the Water!! I’m from Philadelphia and have lived here in Florida for 25 years. When I go home the first thing I get is a Loaf and a small bowl of Sauce with some Meat Balls. Nothing beats a good loaf!! Great Videos Thank You 🙏

    I made this recipe today and it was awesome! Only change I made was to use "Everything but the bagel" seasoning instead of sesame seeds, definitely recommend using this. Thanks for sharing these great recipes.

    Thank you for the comments on Jack. My style of cooking is very similar to the way he cooked so I really enjoyed his videos. I had no idea that Dominic was the same Dominic that Jack mentions quite frequently in his videos. Great story on how you first met him. Everyone was his friend. You boys keep up the great videos as well. I have journey off into trying to make a decent loaf of bread.

    Simple and easy recipe I like it I personally make bread every week for us to have sandwiches but I'm definitely going to add this recipe to my list the next time I do pasta. Guys that was a great story anytime you do a great story while doing your recipes makes the video even much more worthwhile watching.

    Love the Jack story. I'm a 65 yo boomer so I think I can fill in the gaps in the Rolling Stones story. I saw them in 75, 78 and 81 (in Detroit hometown twice, Cleaveland 78 (yuk) once. I got a few stories myself! Anyway the Jack story was great, thanks for that.

    I like to start my poolish a day ahead and then do a cold rise in the fridge. Yes, it takes longer but the enhanced flavor is well worth it. Looks delicious, dear Brothers. :o)

    Been making dough your way and during covid I did a lot of baking. I rolled the dough out thin and made spinach loaf,cooked spinach with garlic and prov and mozz. Pepperoni/cheese loaf basically a pizza rolled up( I used your homemade sauce recipe). Lol Did sweet Italian sausage bread too.
    Hey I avoided covid but gained 20 pounds! Lol. The breads gone but I'm still hanging on to the pounds. 👍😎

    Hi Chef and Papa P!! Wonderful channel!!! I love your recipes!! Great job on the channel! Would you make a chicken parmigiana Stromboli, loaded with mozzarella and marinara, baked and then brushed with garlic Parmesan butter after it’s done? Or an eggplant parmigiana calzone, baked and then brushed off with garlic Parmesan butter? You could do both but either way, be generous with the mozzarella! Saludos!!

    Looks great. 👍🏼 daddy Jack’s presence on UA-cam is definitely missed 🙏🏼 I Wes wondering if you guy’s remember the claim bars style sauce recipe, it was served sweet, medium, and hot, only a few places like Vincent’s, little Charlie’s and Randazzos served it.

      We absolutely do remember them! Are used to work at a restaurant call pizza city on Crossbay Boulevard and Queens. We served sweetheart and medium on calamari and shrimp.

    I'm making this now. (First rise) I hope you're wrong when you say, "It rarely comes out right first time." I made homemade Italian sausage a couple of weeks ago. I plan to grill a couple for dinner and make some sangwiches. Subscribed.

      @BrooklynBrothersCooking thanks. Actually you were right. I put it in the oven for 30 minutes. ( Rotated once at 15 minutes.) Pulled them out, put them on a cooling rack, then sliced into one. Not crispy enough. I put them back for another 10-15 minutes. Sausages are on the grill. Love your videos. Italian food may be my fave. I now make my own pizzas, too. (Chicago thin crust style, of course). Awesome looking food. I'm a lifelong Chicagoan. Born in the city, raised in the burbs. Cheers.

    Hello. Thank you for the tutorial. My bread comes out hard at the bottom. What am I doing wrong? Should I decrease the temperature also? I have a gas oven any feedback you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

      Perhaps decrease the oven by about 25°. All oven heat differently. And be sure to place the bread on the center rack.

    what is the difference between your bread / pizza / garlic knot dough recipes? they all seem the same to me.

      The dough has all the same ingredients. The pizza and knots have the same dough, but we use a different technique for the loaf of bread.

      @@StanPappas we’ve never tried that for this recipe, but we use the steaming method for our Rustic loafs.
