Thanks for posting this! Finally finished the build today at the end of December 2020 and I'm a big fan of Wicked Brick in the UK. Also had issues with the feet but your video angles were perfect to get it aligned just right. May the force be with you!
Thank you for posting this! This video was very helpful for placing the Falcon on the stand, especially since wicked brick doesn’t include those instructions! Also great to see the wholesome father and some building LEGO!
Great review! I bought this stand after watching this review and I'm very happy with the result. Even managed to fit it on top of my 28 cm (11 inches) deep bookshelf.
First of all a great video to show the display and how it's put together with the falcon! True it's a lot of money for a stand but every cent worth it! It looks high quality and the most important fact is that it's transparent! A necessary criterion if you can watch the falcon from both sides! Thank you for the video and the tip to get it!
Thanks, this helped for getting the Falcon on the stand since the stand itself lacks instructions. They also updated the stand. It now has a magnetic plaque in the middle of the bottom which states the lego model and number instead of on the crossbar.
Just a cautionary note that when supporting the UCS MF allowing for the three bottom legs to stay in place, as shown in the video, the front hook of the stand ends up placed 0.5 cm forward of the connection point between the left mandible and the core frame, so with the stress of the weight of the UCS MF, the left mandible can become loose and the whole thing can come crashing down. You can see at 5:50 the left mandible is already a few mm disconnected while the right mandible is flush with the rest of the model. The solution is to remove the left front and left back legs (the left center and the others can stay in place) and move the whole UCS MF an inch or so forward so that the stand hooks only make contact with the core frame of the UCS MF. Unfortunately I only realized this when the left mandible disconnected as I was placing the UCS MF+stand in its final location. It didn't crash, it only sagged, as I was still holding it, but it took over 1h to reassemble and several "Oh crap!" moments when 30h of assembly seemed doomed to disaster...
I ordered the Wicked Bricks stand and my wife helped me put my UCS MF on there. She accidentally knocked of the left mandible before we had it aligned like in the video, which made me realise in time that the (left) mandible would not be strong enough to hold all the weight. Shame really because i really wanted to have alle the legs attached..
When you say left front and back legs do you mean the legs towards the bottom as it sits on the stand? Or also left while looking from behind the falcon? Just got my display case and don’t want to have any issues
@@bananaking1288 It would be the same as your first option. If you are looking at the Falcon exactly as you see it in 5:48, then you should remove both the bottom front leg and the bottom back leg (center leg can say with no issue) and ensure the Falcon does not rest on the left mandible when placing it on the stand (you can see it s resting on the left mandible at 5:50, as dictated by the position of the bottom front leg). If it serves as reassurance, I've had it on display like that since I posted the original message over 2 years ago and it has been absolutely rock solid. I would recommend placing it very carefully on the stand while the stand rests on top of a coffee table, or some not very tall surface off the floor, and then moving UCSMF+stand together very gingerly to its final display location. And of course follow Alex's advice on the video to add the top panels only after you moved it. I keep the two removed legs upright within the stand, just behind the Falcon and you don't really notice them, but it will depend on your final display location. It's a pretty heavy delicate thing, good luck!
These Wicked Brick sloped stands not only raise the model, but free up space. I have the ones for the 2019 Tantive IV and Ep7 Falcon; probably reduced their shelf footprint by 1/3.
Would love to know the necessary clearance measurements for width, height, and depth to have this on a shelf. Thanks for posting! Been looking for something like this for quite some time.
That's really awesome! But I gotta say, I don't understand why you bought this. Why did you pay over $100 for this when you already had that cool custom made shelf?
That custom shelf was an over-engineered nightmare. I watched that video. You could see the raw wood when seated. A standard 12" wide shelf at least 24" long is all you need with at least one of the shelf mounting brackets going into a stud. That's what I'm doing. Two screws to mount and done. I use the Efferman stand, but this one from the UK is far more elegant and simple. This is the shelf he used: www.wickedbrick.com/products/display-stand-for-ucs-millennium-falcon-75192
I just received the same stand from wicked brick in the mail. I’m definitely going to use your video as a guide. Have you had any issues with the stand or the placement of the brackets between the back two legs?
@@alexnunes you’re brave! I don’t think I’ll be moving the falcon anytime soon. I have bad luck, something bad would happen. Thank you for providing everyone with this video. I just put the falcon on the stand & your video was a HUGE help. Would you consider making a video on how to properly move it?
@@alexnunes I also have the big Mega Bloks Enterprise, and adding the UCS Falcon and UCS Star Destroyer feels wrong 😄 My first love is Star Trek, but these UCS ships are pretty incredible!
Thanks for this video. I finished building the falcon and I have purchased this stand. One question though, is it easy to move the stand once the falcon is on it? Or did it feel really shaky and unbalanced? Very nervous about it suddenly falling off the stand when im trying to move it
I have moved it a few times while on the stand. It is sturdy enough, but you need to grab it from the rear supports and have a firm grip on it. You will feel a natural inclination to tilt it so the ship is not on the extreme angle, but that is ok, it makes it easier to move. Hope that helps. It is an amazing stand and I am still very happy I bought it.
I saw some of the detail parts were out of alignment and that would make them inaccurate which included one of those big fins on the top torwards the back the middle right one and the smaller fins that are made out of Lego bars were also wonky on the top and bottom towards the back (sorry if this was nitpicky or taken the wrong way)
Cool thank you for the demo. I have this stand and the MF but neither constructed. Might need a new shelf but it could be quite a narrow tidy one to hold this beast! I read somewhere the depth is 40cm or 16inch is that with the figs stand in front? Thanks
This question had me curious so I went upstairs to take a look. Both resting points appear to be in great shape. I did not see any scratches or deformation of the LEGO bricks. It seems after these three years the display has been great. Hope this helps and thanks for the question.
Thanks for this video, as I am currently building the Falcon myself. I was curious, after you mounted it to the stand, did you move it to its final location while on the stand? Or did you have to take it off again, move the stand to where it was going to reside, and then mount the falcon again? Hopefully you can give a reply to this, so I know how best to tackle that obstacle when I get to that point.
looks awesome! I am soon about to build mine. Are you able to tell me what the height is from the ground to the top of the Falcon when placed on the stand is? Thanks.
Hi Alex, thanks for the very nice review! I want to put an acryl-hood over this assembly. What are the measurements inside to leave a decnet room on all sides? Wicked Brick gives as external measurement: o 36cm Deep o 58cm High o 83cm Wide So would an INSIDE measurment of the hood be ok if it is: o 45cm Deep o 65cm High o 90cm Wide hanks for your reply! Bodo
I looked at this but built mine out of Technic. Then stored it all in a display case from this company. The display case is also very nice.....but huge!
It's a really elegant way to display the Falcon, just a bit too expensive for me... Bricklinking the "Efferman stand" cost only 36 USD for me and it does the same job.
What are the dimensions on the stand, please? Particularly the depth. My display cabinet is only 17" (and the doorway on the side is even a little narrower)
um. you need to take another look at your falcon. It's built wrong. On the arches above the docking rings on the left side the hull panels are oriented incorrectly. If you don't know what I mean, compare the two sides of the ship. the right side is correct, the left side is wrong. hope that helps!

@@alexnunes how much does the falcon weigh
@@Arcade-Steam-FPGA It's a little over 15 lbs.

Do you have a link for to purchase the stand?
did you glue the falcon at all before displaying it?
Nope, no glue on this.
Having just finished building mine, when you shook it toward the end I about had a heart attack.
Will it hold the deagostini falcon?
How much depth space is required for this to sit on a shelf?
With and without the additional part at the front for the figures
With, 16 inches, without, 13 inches. The shelf it is on is 15 inches so it does overhang by an inch.
