I enjoyed this video very much. Your work with charcoal is amazing.
Thanks!
I received a set of 24 tinted charcoal pencils for Christmas. I think they would be wonderful for a winter landscape, especially on black paper.
I let be your birds!
*like
The only time where I actually have everything in the video!!!! 😊😊😊
Спасибо за прекрасный обзор. Люблю ваши видео)
I love the birds! And it amazes me that when you have started I think hmmm that doesn't look too interesting but when you are finished WOW!
try adding water like watercolor pencils
Love that 2nd bird!!!
I love painting and paintings of crows ! Especially watercolor. So pretty with the Blues and purples and grays. Loooove it !
Happy to see more birds. They are probably my favourite to paint.

Great art!
Thank you! 😊
Amazing, Lindsay......you make it look so easy
This is such a lovely video to watch! You’ve made the charcoal so soft and atmospheric ❤️
I love the second bird!
I'm always in a bird mood. Your drawings are nice!
I love birds and these charcoal sketches are beautiful 😊💖
Love your birds. Thanks for sharing, boy you are guick.👍😄

Beautiful bird drawings, thank you for sharing and the opening of the Art Box
I love both drawings! You always pull things out of no where and its the biggest TA-DA moment as I watch
Thank you:)
Thanks Lindsay. Stunning birds. And so neat. Im a mess with charcoal but I think it is fun. Maybe because it gives me permission to be free. I end up head to toe charcoal. 😆
Wow these past two Smart Art boxes look jam packed with goodies. The birds look amazing, and it seems like you drew them so fast. I didn't know charcoal came in colors. How interesting. That's a lot of blending stumps.
I love what you did with your tinted charcoal! These birds look amazing.
Thank you! I enjoyed watching this video. I love Derwent products and like see how artist use them. Your birds were wonderful. Fran

I have graphite tints and they are likely a little sturdier than the charcoal pencils. I would think that conte might be a better choice
These birds are awesome. Like both of them for their own different reasons. I have the Graphitint. I never use them. Thought I would because I love to draw. I wonder if they work in the same way. I bought Graphitints because crumbly charcoal is frustrating for me. TFS.
They will work great, just use a brush and water to blend

Nice, off to grab a box myself
This looks like an interesting medium, which is not good because I most decidedly do NOT need to buy another thing! I wonder if a similar effect could be achieved with Graphitint pencils?
Sure, use water and a brush in lieu if a dry blending stump. It will be beautiful!
Awesome 🦉🦉🦉 !
However it was too quickly for me.... so I put the video on minimum speed but then....your voice became so funny 😂🤣😂🤣
You amaze me! Drawings that detailed in just a few minutes! They are beautiful. I love the concept of charcoal pencils versus the sticks of messy charcoal we had in art class. I'm curious, are the pencils as versatile as the sticks? I can't imagine there'd be any drawbacks, there.
I think they may be a bit less blendy but no real drawbacks except you need to sharpen them.
I have the DerWent Water-Soluble Graphite (which I know are different, but have a similar look) and I need to pull them out and play with them and see how I do with them. I got them with 'high hopes' of expanding my repertoire and have been frightened to touch them. LOL! You are encouraging me to pull them out and play! ;) Thanks, Lindsay! :)
I have the Grahitint set and will try them, not that I'm any good, but not practicing won't help us improve! I do the same....buy a tool of some sort and sit it aside and just look at it....I know how you feel!
I love seeing what you get in your SmartArt box! I wondered if there are other companies that cost a little less that you might recommend? I found one online, but they went out of business! 😫 The bird drawings are wonderful! Love watching you draw! Thank you Lindsay! 😊🐦🕊
I think there are some drawing boxes that are less but I haven't tried them.
@@thefrugalcrafter Ok...I will check and see! I think I only searched for Art Supply boxes. Thank you! 😊❤
Lindsay, How do you keep from smudging the charcoal all over the paper? I would like to use charcoal pencils like these to get better at drawing but I'm getting a mess on my paper just using a regular pencil. Is there some technique I'm missing for keeping the page clean while drawing? You drew thee two sketches so fast I am green with envy! ;-} Great job.
awesome! You blend them on a toothy paper they wont move much but a spray of fixative will really seal it. I like krylon workable fixative. Its relatively cheap, acid free and you can work over it. Also it doesn't tend to clog. I also like the brush and pencil fixative but its pricey and finicky so I only use it for colored pencil projects.
Love the bird in flight Lindsay, Wow, it’s awesome watching you sketch, draw, paint........... from nothing to gorgeous in no time. Big Hugz 👍🏾💯👍🏾💯
