Hi mate, just like to say fantastic job 👍🏻 im not a plasterer, but need advice, i want to plasterboard my outhouse where the brick has been painted, what prep work do i need to do befroe i dot and dab, also the ceiling is porous concrete council house, paint flaked away from years ago, is it worth sealing it? How and what best boards to use? Many thanks and keep up the good work lad.
Hey buddy thanks for watching yea get as much of the loose paint off as possable and use a pre grit sealer. Then dot and dab over that. For the ceiling the sam process but when the dot and dab is dry use some hammer fixing 8 on each full board timco do good hammer fixings.
mate iam not a professional plaster, but i renovate the occasional house, would love to get five walls on in one spread , but iam slow , would you recommend i use a retarder to give me more time ,g8 vids by the way
Hey John, yeah, a retarder would do the job. Speed skim and a big trowel help a lot too, but the main thing I think is important is to use SBR. It stops the wall from drying out and gives you an extra 20 minutes when troweling up. Thanks for watching, buddy.
