    Do you seal the charcoal drawing before the oil glaze?

    Are using the Sofft tools to remove oil glaze? Or to add lighter pigment?
    Beautiful work sir... you are an inspiration for my venture into charcoal and PanPastels. :)

      I use Krylon workable fixative to seal each layer of charcoal before adding the next and before brushing on the oil glaze. Hope that helps. Thanks!

    Amazing and very inspirational. At the end are you using varnish for oil paint?

    I feel like.. I really, going to do some Art too since
    I'm just amazed by your Art work because of the music that also gives it drifting comic vibes and the fact that you can choose the character at play man definitely seems fun in an uplifting way.
    and is the Oil glaze like a Epoxy type add on?
    Thank you again 👍✅

      The oil glaze is just oil paint thinned with mineral spirits. Thanks!

    Is that a wet towel for removing the amber graze?

    • @JoelPilcherArt
      @JoelPilcherArt  6 місяців тому

      Just a dry towel. The oil paint dries slowly so it gives me time to remove it. Thanks!

      Hi…your work is amazing…you are using oil glazing and then work on highlights….is it because oil paint dry slowly….what if we do acrylic glazing at end….will it give the same effect….

    I don’t know why I haven’t really done this before, but I came across your video when I had the thought to do more work with drawing all of CT he detail and glazing rather than predominantly painting a subject. I don’t want to limit myself to one particular style so I’m looking for variation. This is the first video I’ve found which was exactly what I was searching for, so thank you. How much more specific could I have gotten then by searching “detailed drawing under oil glazes”? 🫠
