I think the largest part of people being scared about doing it is there is no data on paper. I have read alot of things that say delete is terrible and alot more that all diesels need the delete. I know this video is old but be awesome to see before and after comparisons with a dyno and fuel economy. If you could do this or point in the right direction to see that it would be awesome. Thanks for the vid.
100% delete! More power, dont have to deal with toxic cow piss def fluid and best of all mpgs go up! Guaranteed most duramax codes are emission related...

Any Diesel particulate filter is the biggest con ever introduced by governments and manufacturers combined. they require a lot of diesel being pumped in to the DPF to clean it and it does hit temperatures hot enough to melt tarmac while regenerating but not all tels you that it is doing an auto regeneration the only way you can tell is the fuel consumption increases so if you without knowing it is doing an auto regeneration turn off your truck then the diesel that is in the particulate filter and the gunk is pumped in to your sump and mixed in with your oil.When I say automatic regeneration I am not on about the one that brings a light on your dash were you have to drive at speed to clear tha canister I am on about the ones before the dash light comes on.
I just finished deleting mine and it works much better, I will update with mpg when I have that info. I only deleted the dpf and got my tune from tunerdepot as they were the cheapest. I used the efilive autocal v3.

Yeah to get to the 20 mpg unloaded mark you have won. No way I believe that fuel economy even with tune/delete or mods. Just not possible.
Good looking and sounding truck, I’m looking at buying a 19 2500 duramax with 37k miles… I came from a 06 F250 with the 6.0 and 400k miles… I’m looking for reliability as I’m in Chicagoland and will be driving it to Knoxville a few times a year. Is this truck reliable enough with the package your talking about with no issues? I don’t want to be broke down in the mountains ect, thanks in Advance

Not every state has such inspections.
I’ve got a 2016 3500 I’ve done the s and b intake already and am getting ready to do pretty much the same upgrades you have done but I’m going with a 4” exhaust as I’ve heard there is really no difference between 4 and 5 inch. How are you liking it now 4 years later? And problems with the tuning or anything?

I have a 2011 GMC, before I deleted the DEF crap, i had to take my truck to thee shop about once a month. The guy that did the work, put a section of 3” in the place of all of the other crap. That really pissed me off. Now I’m looking for something to fix it with. Can anyone help.

They all work hand in hand. If you have the exhaust with deff you must run the programer. Level 5 is a 200hp tune

How is it daily driving with 4in with muffler? Was thinking about going with 5in with muffler, but I think the drone might be too loud, especially on the highway.

I live in Texas, EPA says it’s illegal to mod but in Texas diesels are exempt from emissions tests. What’s that about? Would I get in trouble if I got my truck deleted?
No because it states less then 2 years old has to be emissions compliant after that no emissions testing. You can google it

Tires i don't know, but the wheels are the TIS offroad 544BM.
Tire brand is Nitto Terra Grappler G2’s. I had a set last me 85k miles (worn evenly down to the wear bars) they have a 65k mile warranty. If I were to choose another A/T tire, i would recommend this one. Toyo A/T3’s are pretty good also.

What do you diesel guys mean by " I deleted my truck" ?
they remove stock emissions (egr, def system, etc.) and reprogram the ecu with a tuning kit to avoid the engine throwing trouble codes. also you need to replace the factory exhaust piping after removing all emission components. Some guys just leave the egr and just disable it so it doesn’t function. saves them the trouble of removing it and plating off the port.
