@@eddiedantes7470 Not every engine has that issue and part of the reason bore scoring happens is because the majority of the Porsche owners don’t drive their cars most people put on them like 2000 miles a year if that, and that causes the oil to sit on the bottom of the oil pan not in the entire engine this is something not talk about in the Porsche community some Porsche owners think that they just could go just drive hard after the car is been sitting in the garage for months at a time with just oil in those engines most people don’t even think about putting oil stabilizer for long periods of storage . The 997.2 the word is that bore scoring is not an issue.
Premium Cost , third world engineering . Issue has an easy fix yet Porsche ignores it . Mind over matter they don't mind and you don't matter . Sign of the times
I daily drive my 981 and maintain it frequently as preventive but I don’t have any fear of bore score, not a problem with these engines unless owner neglects the car or doesn’t drive it frequently or overheats it. These 9a1 are great engines, nothing like the m9x nightmares of the past. Read and follow the owners manual, change your fluids more frequently than recommended and your 9a1 should be super reliable and free of scoring.
Buy only Mezger's.
Always a safe bet. Coolant pipes are the biggest issue on these models but easily addressed through preventative maintenance.
Haha your cute 🥰 buy only Mezger is your advice. You pretend that everyone has GT2 GT3 money.
@@victoria19853 yes, if you want to stay away from ims failure and bore scoring issues that afflict 996 and 997.

Porsche did go to SUMEbore coated cylinder bores with the 991.2 and 718, so we hope cylinder issues are a thing of the past. Fingers crossed!
