I think the child is adorable. Great job. Love the video. What children don't lick the spoon and fingers! That's perfectly fine! I feel sorry for trolls who cannot say anything nice. Pity to them. 😂

When I was a little boy, my grandmother showed me how adding spices to cream of chicken soup made it taste better. I was about this little girl's age. I am now 50 and cooking is my biggest hobby. Ive won chili cook offs, I cook for all my friends, and I love to cook for my children and grandchildren. This little girl could be saying the same thing in 40 years and she will always remember where she got her start. GREAT job!!!

That's so sweet! We forget about that, how 1 simple moment is an entire world for children and how special just spending time together doing anything is truly a sacred gift. We can alter a child's mind and life in just 1 act of love & sharing.

I wish I had a grandma like this and my mom had anything to do with my kids seeing that they're the only grandchildren. Well, too late now they're teenagers and already going through highschool. However, I have learned everything what not to do from her. All that was never there is now there for my kids. I am the mother and father my parents weren't and will be the grandparent no one was to me. I would never continue my families tradition of no family values. These lovely lady's are So lucky to have each other. They are both so sweet and cute

Jackie , I completely understand. I was lucky enough to have grandmothers who loved to cook and taught me alot. But, there was abuse at home and other issues. When I was about 14 sitting in church , the lesson was about generational curses and how they pass down and how things children see and learn pass on to their children. I swore I would break those cycles of abuse with my children. I believed in discipline but, there are other forms of discipline also. Taking toys or games away. Restriction, writing an essay about how what they did was wrong or disrespectful and the circumstances it could lead to. Sometimes sentences were written. I am raising a grandson now and he absolutely cant stand writing sentences. There were a few times I spanked my kids butts also. I was a single mom and my kids are grown now. Jackie, I will keep you in my prayers and it sounds like you are doing a fantastic job.

Hi this is my first time seeing your video. My name is Kara and I just love ya'll already! You, your granddaughter, your dish, and the home feel that your channel gives, it's a warm feeling. Makes you feel loved and like your at home, like when I was a child. And your granddaughter is so adorable! I like the innocence of a child. It was so precious those little fingers and everything she did was beautiful because seeing a child is the most closest thing to the Lord. We all could learn from children. They teach us love, togetherness, adventure, fun, play, no worries. Their minds are so pure and NOT contaminated by the world, like some adults due to the hardships of life, we can learn from children, patience and love. I hope she stays wondrous and curious as she is, she will do great things! So don't listen to anyone, let kids be kids because when we restrict them then they cannot grow and flourish into what they were born to do. Keep it up and stay encouraged! I love you already and I will watch more of your videos! Thank you and also I just subscribed and I hit the notification bell and I thumbs up. Because you are doing great for us, and teaching us! Thank you!!!

Well to be fair she did it when Grandma wasn't looking! Lol. When I look back at how I used to play with frogs and not wash my hands, and then eat a sandwich, it's amazing I'm alive! 😱 I also never got sick as a child and never broke a bone. Small amounts of exposure to microorganisms is how we build strong and healthy immune systems. The exposure is not large enough to kill us or even make us sick, but it's just enough for us to build up antibodies and resistance. A great example today is that most people with European ancestry are immune to the pathogen that caused the black plague. It went around in Vietnam during the Vietnam war, and the Vietnamese and African-American soldiers who caught it all died. The European American soldiers just got sick and recovered.

Yeah, seems like a bad idea, but really folks. A sneak bite won’t hurt her unless it was setting on a contaminated surface. My husband and sons eat steak and hamburgers so rare that it is setting on their plate in a puddle of blood. They call it “juice.” When we go to a restaurant, I put a menu upright between them and me so I don’t have to watch. Cold raw beef vs bloody warm beef...... I would go for the cold raw beef if I were gonna “go.” But..... no way.

I hope you had a sit down with your granddaughter after you shot this video to explain to her what is safe to lick & what isn't...lol. I screamed nooooooo when she was licking raw meat fingers. lol I know she wants to taste all the yummy things being made, but we've got to be safe first. You're doing a great job teaching her how wonderful & rewarding homemade cooking can be. Keep up the great work nana.

She will never forget cooking with you, it is a very special time that will last forever. Thank you for being a great Nana. I miss mine so much and the things she taught us, sure Mom taught us too, but the Grand connection is so very dear.
And I ate raw everything as a kid including seal, venison, elk, eggs, and milk even and grandparents. It was called everyday life in the rural areas. Travelled the world and saw much of the world eats stuff americans would cringe at. Came home and see Americans panicking over everything that doesn’t come sterilized in a bag. I am weird though, I wouldn’t trust store bought meat or eggs or dairy for anything.

Salisbury steak has onion and celery bits inside and is served with a dark brown beef/mushroom gravy, also does not use flour. Amish steak is unique in the fact that it uses a large amount of bread fillers, is then floured and uses a cream based gravy.

Not to troll, but please be careful about e.coli bacteria on raw meat. It doesn't take much to cause an e.coli infection, especially with young and elderly. I noticed she touched the raw meat (that is not a problem) and then later licked her finger. Just a precaution.

@@LittleVillageHomestead A friend and I were discussing this just this weekend. I work on a ranch, and I am exposed daily to e.coli from cattle. We used to have a more rural agrarian lifestyle, and EVERYONE was exposed to it, and i believe we built up a resistance. Nowadays, however, that is not the case in many communities. Oh, and btw.
