- Giella Custom Blend Cosmetics can give your discontinued makeup a second life by replicating the exact color and texture. We tried to replicate a lipstick and blush to see if we could really bring these products back from the dead.

Yeah there’s millions of shades of red. I have lipglosses that I seriously can’t find dupes to that are frosty blueish sheer or silver sheer lipsticks I’d like to have recreated though bc there actually aren’t dupes for them.
There are but it’s not just the color. Finding the exact color with the exact texture is pretty hard because every brand has a different formula.
And for so much cheaper than what they charged her

You can clearly see the blush is a couples of shades darker than the actual discontinued blush

There’s a lot more product in the blush container, and the quality is good, so it’s pricey.
Those do not look the same... they’re somewhat close but not the same. You can go and buy one from the store that’s almost the same too.
Edit: Its not hard to find a dupe, you can easily find a dark red or light pink anywhere.

In my mind they were going to centrifugate that shit and break down the formula to recreate the exact same product and I was like "this is gona be sooo expensive", but apparently it is no that..
And that blush is not similar at all might aswell shop online instead of spending 40$ on something not matching.

Almost no makeup product is unique anymore. This is cool but I'm sure there are so many dupes. Especially for a red lipstick and a coral blush... nothing special.

The red lipstick recreation is more vibrant but close enough. The blush recreation was quite a bit more orange.
I don’t think either colour is hard to find. Chanel sells heaps of reds that all look the same.

I could understand if it was like a super unique limited edition kind of color, like a weird shimmery blue or some shit, but...there are thousands of red lipsticks. You could find a pretty good color match for far cheaper. The same applies to most products you'd wear on a daily basis.

This is the real deal. I recently had my favorite lipgloss from Bobbi Brown, Black Pearl, which is discontinued recreated. The color was a perfect match. They are so nice. They created it so fast. The quality is great. I have spent $$$ on possible alternatives. All sitting in a bin, adding to my clutter. If you have a beloved, discontinued product that you would to resurrect, Giella is the place to go!
They also provided some samples. Giella’s eye makeup primer is amazing. It really makes applying eye shadow so much easier and evenly with color that stays on all day.
Do they also recreate the scent of the gloss?
And can they recreate a gloss you don't have anymore, or do you need to bring the gloss with you? Because I don't have the gloss anymore😭
@@HhhhgftrVvvvjjh I don’t know about the scent. My original gloss didn’t really have a distinct scent. I saw your other question too. I believe they will need a sample. I know. I can’t believe I held onto a gloss for so many years. But definitely contact them. It looks like they have scents for their line of lip products. Hope this helps!
There was a Revlon lipstick I had, it was this beautiful burgundy kind of colour, perfect for autumn... and I am sad to find that it was discontinued.
For those who want to know, it was called Spiced Brandy and the shade number was 523.

I love how this is marketed as a novel idea XD This is how they created makeup before mass production was introduced. Also, they need someone with better eye for colour (or an app there are so so many) because she didn't match the blush, it needed a little more pink.

if they ever discontinue my signature lipstick i will for sure do this. i could probably find a dupe of it, but i've never found one that is close enough in shade to call a dupe that's not extremely matte and i don't like matte lipstick or super glossy and my lipstick is a perfect in between.

I got so excited. I was hoping I can get a accurate match of this lipstick my mom used back when I was small. She always used a avon lipstick called "best brown". I always saw that lipstick color and thought it was the secret to my mom's beauty. She doesn't have it at all. She used every inch of those lipsticks.

Here's me thinking this was going be the answer to my prayers after my Carmen moisture plus lip balm - the *only* lip balm I've found that doesn't cause an allergic reaction - was discontinued. I thought they were actually gonna look at the ingredients and reformulate to create a true back from the dead product, but no, just expensive colour matching that was simply eyeballing different pigments and mixing on the fly. People forget that when products are discontinued it can really effect those of us that suffer with allergies, especially when we've finally found a product that does not cause skin irritation.
Sometimes you accidentally discover some cosmetics, that suits you so very well it becomes your holy grail product so true, emotional moments are also attached to it, then suddenly the company stops it.how mean they don't even replace it.you try a replacement close to it but never succeed
Ok that dupes for that Chanel lipstick in the colour red can be found anywhere it’s freaking RED
And that is also a really popular blush colour which you can find different versions that are closer than what they came up with and it would have been cheaper or equivalent for a luxury brand
The Giela lipstick was darker and more saturated, while the blush was way too orange. I don't think they're exactly the same but they can still work. It's just that they say they can make perfect replicas when it's somehow far from the original.
I Wish there was a company than can recreate all discontinued products.

I think this products are made for people who dont wanna waste time searching on the stores for a dupe of the product they want.

I have a nyx round lip gloss in the color natural I'm trying to match. I was so sad when they discontinued it now I don't even use it because its my absolute favorite and I'm looking for something that will be a close match to it.

The lipstick dupe is more bright and a tad bit rosier than the original. The blush dupe is more of a dark peachy color compared to the original.
I have one question -
I have some really shimmery makeup, it's from revlon and I can't find it anywhere. It's about to run out, and I don't know if it is discontinued. It's in a small black container with "Revlon Pearl" (or perle, I don't have it with me atm), and I really like it but I can't find a replacement.
This has been on my recommended 500 times
1. That blush was definitely not the same colour
2. The lipstick is literally red. You can find a better dupe elsewhere for cheaper too.
