    Love how they can barely describe what this is actually doing for the skin and can't point to any significant studies outside of their own "research" for what the ingredients are doing. Why is platinum the best peptide-producing ingredient versus other ones already on the market? Has your skincare regimen noticeably improved after using the products they gave you for an extended amount of time? What is the price breakdown of the ingredients per listed weight? There's so much more that needs to be here before you start trying to tell people they need a $2000 facial

I’m newer to skin care and I’m trying to learn, but platinum just kind of seems like a waste of money and resources, same with gold. Plus, they always overprice the products in the first place so that they can advertise services like these to seem like a "good deal". In reality, the production of those products is generally significantly cheaper than what they are being sold for, but people buy it because of the brand name and fancy packaging. They typically advertise ingredients that are expensive but have no real scientific evidence to prove their effectiveness, and cheaper products can often be sold for a much lower price. At the end of the day, people are buying the brand and perception of luxury, not a truly unique effective service

    • @reneeburtness1526
      @reneeburtness1526 2 роки тому

      The price was probably accurate for perches but much higher then the cost of production so the brand is able to offer it much Cheaper to the spa, bc once people get the spa treatments and get the free full size products there more likely to buy it at full price

      It has been found that diet plays little to no role in skin health. Skin is the last organ in the body to receive nutrients, so it is very unlikely anything from our food lands on our skin. Diminishing inflammation within the body through diet however IS helpful - may seem like similar concepts, but they certainly are not. Skincare is engineered to have carrier systems that deliver necessary nutrients and protection to epidermis on a cellular level, making skin care the main influence on overall skin health. HOWEVER over the counter skin care does not do any of these things unfortunately. They are too massed produced to have potent and effective ingredients even if they claim that they do - this is why there is a lot of misconception surrounding the efficacy of skincare. It is just important to invest in quality, medical grade skin care and to visit an Esthetician/skincare specialist once a month. But as an Esthetician... you would think that you would know that? Hm...

    • @susangregg9396
      @susangregg9396 5 років тому +1

      The inner health of the body...
      Is reflected in the skin hair and nails.
      & as an Esthetician..
      One of the frist things you learn is nothing can pass below the last layers of the dermis...if so you would die of infection..
      Basically the skincare industry has made billions in selling product that treats dead skin.
      Unless you go to a dermatologist and get a flaxel laser 5000$ treatment nothing really improves skin. As it shocks the skin to increase collagen..
      The facial in this video is such a rip off on so many levels..
      Incidentally gold is the worse thing to use on your skin..and about as unnatural as you can get..
      There will always be foolish women who will think spending thousands of dollars on face cremes will make their skin better..
      When it's just massaging their egos..
      cellular level ...dont make me laugh..
      Your ignorance is stunning..

      @@susangregg9396 I am in no way disputing that the facial in this video is a waste of money. It very well could be, I do not know the performance ingredients that this skincare has in it, nor do I care. I am also not disputing that the skincare industry's money comes from marketing products that are pure fluff. In fact, in my comment I point out that over the counter skincare does not, will not, do anything for skin health. I also mention in my comment that eating to diminish "inflammation" IS important - in fact it is essential to body and skin health. However, I AM disputing that eating a carrot because it has vitamin A does not have the same effect on the skin as applying medical grade retinol. Eating an orange does not have the same pigment inhibition effect on the skin as applying vitamin C topically does. Does it make your health better? Sure. But the results are not comparable. "Nothing can pass the last layers of the dermis." You are absolutely correct - good thing we arn't trying to do anything in the dermis. Without giving an entire lesson on the functions of the Epidermis (more specifically the Stratum Basale), I will say that skin cells are not formed in the dermis so our skincare just doesn't need to go that far. Not sure why "gold" was brought into, but sorry to burst that bubble too... metals have been used for heath purposes all through out history (I won't dive too much into that). It also seems that you are implying that "molecular weight" doesn't play a role in this? Yet you imply in your first comment that sitting in a sauna will release toxins...? This is what you mean by "keep your insides clean" correct? Besides dehydrating yourself doing that (lol), are you not implying that toxins excrete via the skin on a molecular level? I mean, you're saying the toxins come out via our sweat... right? ..... which is exactly how skincare penetrates the epidermis on a MOLECULAR level. You don't really think pizza just pops out of the skin when you're in a sauna, I'm sure? So I get that you're just trying to do a cute clap back because you feel threatened, but don't go contradicting yourself in the process, it weakens the argument. I'm sorry I even replied to your original comment, but it was just so sad to see a "licensed" esthetician know so little about skin. You're making us estheticians look bad, Susan.
