Awesome info. Thanks so much for sharing Darren. Any update on the litigation against that first builder? When do you expect to have it completed and tenanted?

Block wall is one but it's really about the fire rating. You need a wall assembly that has a one hour fire rating which can be accomplished many ways. Having a non-combustible wall is another way.

Good morning, is more than that in Toronto, some place or wall you need to have drywall passing behind a partition (T) , like around staircase when wall are but in or when property to close from the neighbors in a rare occasion drywall between top plate & ceiling, one step your not there yet, its before plumbing & Hvac to install drywall inside joist cavities + on the joist before HVAC run will pass, some project will required fire rated spray foam or caulking in all hole saw, drill opening between floors, street like Dufferin are a challenge to work , thx for sharing , i like to learn & improve, have a good one@@DarrenVoros

I'm just curious & always want to learn, u see today I learn again something, for a job we will do in 2024, we are allowed by engineer, the steel beam can be splice to make it lighter to install & weld after installation.
      Have a good one

Voros is the exception since there are NO builders in Canada. He's the ONLY builder. There is absolutely nobody who knows this stuff. Thank God for Derek teaching the country.
