    Compact SUVs are hugely popular for combining the driving feel and fuel economy of a sedan with the versatility of an SUV. They fit into a just-right size and price range that seems to work for most buyers.
    But one challenge many faces is choosing the right make and model. So we dug into Consumer Reports to provide you with the best 6 compact SUVs under $30K, with one exception.
    CR ranked these SUVs based on their overall score, which reflects a vehicle’s performance in CR’s road tests, predicted reliability and owner satisfaction and the availability of advanced safety features and crash test ratings.

    Just bought a 2022 Subaru Forester Premium in that same autumn green metallic paint color -- I freakin' love it. So many great safety features, drives great, tight steering (feels like a sports car), tons of room in back for a pair of bikes without having to remove front wheels, pretty darn quiet interior and cruises really smoothly on the highway. Really looking forward to some carcamping with it.

      I have a ton of respect for Subaru vehicles. I know they are quality vehicles, nice interiors, reliable, etc. I would never question why someone would buy one.
      Me... I'll never own one... they are just all hideously ugly on the outside... boxy and bland. I'd buy a Subaru in a heartbeat if they'd hire an exterior design team that wasn't all completely blind like the current team is.

No, they're not the most powerful, quickest, fastest, etc., but they certainly get the job done, particularly off road and in otherwise unsafe weather and road conditions. And, they're not like Kia or other companies in their race to try to out-spaceship other companies' car designs with more high tech, low touch features. Subaru has more vehicles on the road after 10 years then any other manufacturer based upon percentages. Your reliability take on the Subaru is way off. Subaru had an issue with the boxer Engine years ago and fixed it. Tav4 and CRV have also had issues including water mixture in the engine on the CRV in particular and that problem wasn't addressed for years.

    • @wolfshanze5980
      @wolfshanze5980 Рік тому

      Probably because it doesn't exist on the 2022 Tucson. Are you really that dense?
      Why didn't you mention the exploding gas tank on the Ford?
      Every car company makes a mistake here or there... like the Ford Pinto whose gas tank exploded on impact, the Hyundai 2.4L Theta engine, which.... hmmm... oh yeah, they don't make it anymore or put it in any other vehicles. The 2022 Tucson on this list uses the tried and true 1.6L Turbo which has had zero issues for years.
      Oh, did you know Toyota is currently recalling thousands from their fleet for engine cracks? Happens to everyone pal.
      If you want to be a cute little internet troll, you need to step up your game... because the Hyundai engine fires only occurred on an engine no longer being produced and isn't anywhere in their current lineup.
      You just sound uneducated, not cute.

    • @wolfshanze5980
      @wolfshanze5980 Рік тому +1

      @jeffforbess6802 why? If you're trying to be cute about the engine fires, that was just the 2.4L Theta engine and nothing else. The Theta engine was used in multiple vehicles so it made it look like everything was a mess, but it was literally just that one engine causing the problems.
      The Theta engine is no longer in production and isn't used anymore. The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid uses the 1.6L Turbo engine... that engine has been out for 7 years and has had ZERO issues, very reliable.
      People who do research before making purchasing decisions fair a lot better than people who don't know what they're talking about because they heard a rumor on the internet.
      Consumer Reports gave the 2022 Tucson an 89 out of 100... pretty sure they looked at the engine.
      Maybe doing research helps...
      The more you know 🌈

      YES!!! I am sick to death of seeing nothing but the same ole 3-5 colors on the road. So damn boring! Back in the olden days when you ordered a new car, the paint color choice sheet was huge & so much fun! Lots of variety on the road back then. I don’t understand why manufacturers can’t give us more colors to chose from. 🤷🏻‍♀️😕

    The Toyota prime and the Hyundai hybrid are the two best in my opinion as far as performance and style. That Subaru is and always has been a very unattractive vehicle. All eyes on Hyundai! They have been kicking much booty lately! 🎉

It's the reason i had to compromise myself to a Nissan Rogue Sport (here it's the Quasqai), for about 22.000€ (lockdown pandemic price november 2020-it's almost 40k now).
