Just bought a 2022 Subaru Forester Premium in that same autumn green metallic paint color -- I freakin' love it. So many great safety features, drives great, tight steering (feels like a sports car), tons of room in back for a pair of bikes without having to remove front wheels, pretty darn quiet interior and cruises really smoothly on the highway. Really looking forward to some carcamping with it.
I have a ton of respect for Subaru vehicles. I know they are quality vehicles, nice interiors, reliable, etc. I would never question why someone would buy one. Me... I'll never own one... they are just all hideously ugly on the outside... boxy and bland. I'd buy a Subaru in a heartbeat if they'd hire an exterior design team that wasn't all completely blind like the current team is.

I'm not sure why the Bronco Sport is considered much more reliable than the Escape it is based on, especially since it is built in Mexico. It seems too new to know much about reliability.

The Theta engine was used in multiple vehicles so it made it look like everything was a mess, but it was literally just that one engine causing the problems. The Theta engine is no longer in production and isn't used anymore. The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid uses the 1.6L Turbo engine... that engine has been out for 7 years and has had ZERO issues, very reliable. People who do research before making purchasing decisions fair a lot better than people who don't know what they're talking about because they heard a rumor on the internet. Consumer Reports gave the 2022 Tucson an 89 out of 100... pretty sure they looked at the engine. Maybe doing research helps... The more you know 🌈

Subaru has more vehicles on the road after 10 years then any other manufacturer based upon percentages. Your reliability take on the Subaru is way off. Subaru had an issue with the boxer Engine years ago and fixed it. Tav4 and CRV have also had issues including water mixture in the engine on the CRV in particular and that problem wasn't addressed for years.

Still driving my 2008 Impreza and won’t give it up yet because it handles the road so well and still a lot of pep on the highway. Not sure WTH you’re talking about. Subarus are known to last for decades but the bodies rust out.

my well maintained 2016 Tucson with 125,000 miles is no longer running . The engine has a major design flaw and the dealer is backed up with lawsuit repairs. Stay away from Kia and Hyundai.

The Rav 4 Prime is over $50k so it really shouldn't be on this list. You should have compared the gas powered rav 4 here. Mazda CX 5 beats it hands down.

Hyundai Tucson hybrid is the best i.m.o. The Bronco made the list because of the sponsorship. The Nissan Rogue is a much better choice.

First subaru had 225,000 Kms when I got rid of it. My current Impreza has 183,000 Kms
