Actually, people argue that Avatar is similar to Ferngully (I actually think that’s another movie that needs to be live action). Also, Yvonne Strahovski was also Batwoman in Batman Bad Blood and Miranda Lawson in the Mass Effect series so she can pull it off.
I Disagree with most of your Cast wishes.. I will always stand by my belief that The Black Cauldron would benefit so much from a live action remake. Heck, we could even go for a PG-13 or maybe even an R-rated remake.
For me I was thinking Ron Perlman. I mean physically alone he could pull it off. But also I think it would be a good way to tribute Mike Mignola, the man who created the visual style of Atlantis, but also created Hellboy, who Ron Perlman played as well. But I think Clancy works as well, mainly because he played Lex Luthor in the DCAU series.
Gustin isn't quirky enough for me, like Thatch is in the movie. Thatch has gotta be someone who runs into work 10 mins late with his pants on backwards and two left shoes on, while still being a brilliant wiz, like Michael j Fox played him. I think Gustin is too grounded. I would have stuck with Garfield. That being said I would have picked Stephen Lang or Kelsey Grammar for the Commander (more acting range), Tessa Thompson for Kida (uh have you seen her as Valkyrie?? Even comes with white face paint!) and Bobby Cannavale or Matt LeBlanc as Vinny (Turturro is just too ... weird and out there. Vinny is more deadpan). Agree with everything else though!
You know… I don’t know why, but when thinking about who could play the commander, the first person who came to my mind was that colonel from AVATAR (not the cartoon 😒) the movie from 2009. His name is Stephen Lang.
Grant Gustin - Milo Jim Carrey - Preston Clancy Brown - Commander rourke Gal Gadot - Helga St Claire Jack Whitehall - vinnie David Ramsay - dr sweet Jessica Parker Kennedy - Audrey Helan Mirran - wilhemina Mark Hamill- Cookie David Harewood - king koshkin Candice Patton - keita
Honestly, This movie is way to underrated. Also, could you please do a live action version of Amazon’s Invincible, I know it’s very recent, but I’d love to see who you’d cast.
If I may give my personal, unpopular opinion: as epic as these two movies might look if remade in live action, I have to personally disagree with them being prime candidates for a live action remake. I say this, not because I don’t think it would be a mind-blowing visual, but because I don’t feel the same way about box office numbers as that indicator. Yes, they absolutely should be remaking less successful movies rather than trying to make an instant hit by remaking previous hits, that much I will agree on, but I disagree with the indicator of a film’s success being solely box office numbers. I think, if you’re going to remake something, remake the movies that had good ideas that didn’t reach their full potential. Remake the films that, regardless of box office success, didn’t receive good reception from its audience. Treasure Planet and Atlantis are only failures for Disney based on money, but ask almost anyone who has seen those movies what they thought, and the majority will agree that they were good movies that were executed very well. Think of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory from 1971, starring Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, if you ask most viewers, they enjoyed that version better than the remake from 2005, yet the original wasn’t successful at the box office, it bombed in theatres. I think remakes in general need not go forward unless they actually have something they can add that will potentially benefit the story and make the experience worth something to the viewer, otherwise, just rerelease the original if you want it to make more money. If the movie is beloved by its audience the way it is, and was well received in its execution, then that is what truly makes it successful, not the number of tickets sold. …but Disney execs are whores who only care about money, so let’s see what they could make that we MIGHT enjoy!
live action Red Hood movie with William Defoe is the joker, Michael Keaton's Batman, Milo Vantimiglia as Nightwing, Tom Holland as Red hood. I know the last one's Little Italy but give me a chance I think you do well.
First off avatar came out in 2009. Let’s get that correct.. Atlantis came out in 2001. There’s an eight year difference. Avatars rip off of this movie.
Can your next recast be for Disney's The Black Cauldron but a TV series? Because the film only covered the first two books but there was so much missing. And a series like this needs to be brought to live action.
I am not into live actions as so far, its been a nostalgic mess, but Atlantis, there is a lot they can do, so much they can expand, like give Helga a bigger role, maybe even the motives for the betrayal more stronger than just money, and more danguers and story ahead, maybe the movie could even show us a flash back of Milo being a kid with his grandpa, like when he tells the story of the spear like shape rock during his camping with his grandpa, to let us see more of how they were so close, and so more, live actions tend to have an issue with "fix what is not broken", just few examples, with Jasmine being presented as a strong woman, that alwats voice her ideas evrn if the original Jasmine was just that, or how in Beuty and the Beast, Belle is this overlly femenist that is a genious ahead of her time, but comes out flat and the director forgot Belle was already very smart, kind and brave, but also with a lot of charisma, while in the live action, the actress looks kind of bored... But with Atlantis, more than "fix" what about expand the story propetly? Another issue with live actions is... The rythme, I mean, in live actions, the story tends to somehow be the "same", but with no soul or moving way too fast, like... If you didn't watch the animated classic, you will think it was kind of rushed off... So here, they should tell the story, but with its regular phase, but adding more, expand it and make it shine! Atlantis has a lot of potencial and yet Disney likes to pretend it doesn't exist...
You know, I was think that maybe for Rourke, make his motives more than just a greedy power hungry man. I was thinking maybe he wants the crystal to not only sell for millions, but to give the money back to the soldiers' families that they lost. I mean, you would think that Rourke would be fuel by vengeance since he lost so many good men because of that creature that attacked them at sea, and while despite they may find some treasure, that won't be anything to compensate for the lives of the dead soldiers. I mean, soldiers are always doing the dirty work at that time, but only because they don't want the country's citizens to be afraid. So basically I'm giving Rourke a General Hummel (The Rock) vibe.
Good choices! Here's some alternative ideas: Cole Sprouse as Milo (he did a great Milo cosplay) (I see you used the background of his room for the Grant photoshopped photo) Tommy Lee Jones as Rourke Estelle Harris as Mrs. Packard Grant and Clancy are also great choices though, and I love the idea of Christopher Lloyd as the professor!

The irony that Lloyd has a role in this Live-Action take and like J. Fox's original voice-over role. 🥲Thank You, Bryan.
That’s pretty good, Bryan. I hope you can cast a Power Rangers Cinematic Universe for Hasbro.
Yes Yes Yes. But I would have Zendaya as the princes
A wonderful film that genuinely deserves a second chance. Once again, you got it! Can you get anything wrong?
I love Grant Gustin! He definitely needs more work, so I'm glad you picked him as Milo. Although, I would also love to see George MacKay as Milo.
Clancy Brown...the voice of Mr. Krabs 😂 don't get me wrong he definitely IS a great actor and voice actor... Still I always thought it is kind of funny that he is and was always the voice of Mr. Krabs on Spongebob Squarepants
Out of all the Live-Action movies Disney would remake, they would never touch Atlantis, and that is exactly why they should do it.
I agree with most of the casting, btw great video as always, but instead of casting Mike Colter i would choose Omar Sy.
He's a fantastic french actor, who is getting more international attention now thanks to Lupin. When this man smiles at me and tells me it's gonna be ok, i believe him.
But really i just need more Omar Sy in my life.
Yvonne was also a spy in the show action/comedy chuck. She is no stranger to fight scenes.
When he said "most well known for" I was waiting for chuck.
I think Sean Bean would be better with commander rork, his role in snowpiercer as mr wilford was great and really made me appreciate him.
I guessed Clancy brown for commander. I was like I knewww it!!!!!,!,!!
Tom Holland once said that he would love to play Milo in a live-action remake of Atlantis.
He’d be better in Treasure Planet
Look as much as I love Holland, I think he's just getting type-casted way too much. Especially since some newer roles he's in are so unnecessary like Uncharted.
@@FantasticBeasts2024 si definitivamente le queda mejor ser jimmy que milo.
I literally have the same picks for Helga, Sweet, and Mole!! I love the rest of your picks as well, Clancy Brown and Grant Gustin in particular! Here’s some of my other personal picks:
Tom Holland as Milo
Ella Balinska as Kida
John Kani (T’Chaka in Black Panther) as Kashekim
Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Rourke
Lily Tomlin as Wilhelmina
Jenna Ortega (Ellie Alves from You) as Audrey
Tony Shalhoub as Vinny
Well, Dwayne Johnson should being play as Joshua Sweet in Atlantis the Lost Empire.
If you are going with Louis Gossett Junior, then you should go with his Stargate co-star Christopher Judge for Sweet!
I made a little inside shriek when I heard his voice and recognized the actor!
After you do your Spider-Man Recast, can you do all of the main Avengers from Earths Mightiest Heroes?
Attempt 19 of asking for live action recast of Eragon!
A TV series of that would be great.
I second that!! I've been asking too
Yeah, naw Zoe Kravitz can't be princess Kida. I don't know who but it's not Zoe.
She's too skinny and pale. Kida is brown skinned and curvy.
Colter is great, but I would've cast Henry Simmons as Sweet.
Pls do a pitch and fancast for a spiderman series like spectacular Spider-Man
After Spider man, I would love to see your take on Mass Effect. It would make a great TV series and has amazing characters.
Tom Holland should play Milo because he's in his late 20s by the time when you do this video.
Before you said it, I was thinking Yvonne Strahovski but thought you would never pick her because I forgot she is somewhat known now
Honesty never considered Grant Gustin but now i cant see anyone else you always do this how???????
This might be my very favorite fancast of yours. Every single role just absolutely nails it. Well done, sir!!!
I love grant gustin as flash even if I think the show itself isn't... that great
It started out great but the writing just got so lazy over the years
I had a hiccup moment when you said Yvonne Strahovski was best known for her season in Dexter when i've always loved her & her badassery from Chuck. Great calls all around! If Colter didn't work out, i'd consider Henry Simmons (Agents of Shield) for Doc. He's 6'4", got the range to go from friendly, family, to emotional and warm and all that.
You know I didn't even think about Henry till you mentioned it but he would be a really good option. Mack was such a warm character like the doc.
Can you do the live action spider verse fancast video and the spider Man villains MCU fancast video
11:22 *I think Halsey should play as Kida. She looks just like Kida with the makeup. Also, she has to have straight hair, not dreads. Kida looks more Columbian or Mesoamerican.*
I think it would be cool to see Zendaya as Kia but she could be too big of a star
Tom Holland as Milo
Terry Crews as Joshua Sweet
Betty White as Wilhemina
Jane Lynch as Helga
Tommy Lee Jones as Rourke
Josh Gad as Mole
Morgan Freeman as King of Atlantis
Zoe Saldana as Kida
You should cast mortal kombat and potential replacements for the new bond movie
I agree 💯
And how about a live action Street Fighter TV series.
@@osmanyousif7849 yeah maybe star trek reboot
Milo - Tom Holland
Kadia - Zendaya
Audrey- Becky G or Isabella Merced
Helga - Tasya Teles
Vincenzo - Pedro pascal or Gael Garcia
The mole- Charlie Day
Commander - Kevin Costner
Preston- Harrison Ford
Jebidiah William H macy
Whilemina - Bridgett everet
Doc - Henry Oswald Simmons
Live Action Lilo & Stitch?
Idk if u know this series, but if you do, can you fancast Lorien Legacies?
The first book, I am Number Four, has been adapted before, but it didn't get that much attention, and was inaccurate anyway.
I really think it could be up there with Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.
Can't believe i didn't notice avatar resemblance, i mostly compared the film to Stargate.
You know yvonne strahovski from dexter, but you did show a clip from chuck. I'm glad, not many know her from that.
I'd also like you to cast the narnia Amazon series
Actually, people argue that Avatar is similar to Ferngully (I actually think that’s another movie that needs to be live action).
Also, Yvonne Strahovski was also Batwoman in Batman Bad Blood and Miranda Lawson in the Mass Effect series so she can pull it off.
I want daily wire to make a live action remake of this movie
I Disagree with most of your Cast wishes..
Milo should be played/portrayed by Matthew Gray Gubler
Kida should be played/portrayed by Kiara Barnes
Kida's father/King of Atlantis should be played/portrayed by Morgan Freeman
Vinny should be played/portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen
Hailee Steinfeld could play the youngest of the group *forgot her name* although i like the actress you've mentioned in your video..
As much as I love Atlantis, I DO NOT(Repeat) DO NOT WANT A LIVE ACTION VERSION. DON'T BREAK SOMETHING THAT'S FINE JUST THE WAY IT IS, DISNEY.
I think that Terry Crews is a better choice than Mike Colter for Joshua Sweet
YES, YES, YES !!
I will always stand by my belief that The Black Cauldron would benefit so much from a live action remake. Heck, we could even go for a PG-13 or maybe even an R-rated remake.
How about Stephen Lang as Rourke.
Milo-Dylan O'Brien
Preston-Tom Skerritt
Commander Rourke-William Zabka
Helga-Gemma Chan
Vinny-Oscar Isaac
Mole-Taika Waititi
Joshua-Aldis Hodge
Audrey-Isabela Moner
Wilhomenna-Julie Walters
Cookie-Gary Oldman
King of Atlantis-Sidney Poitier
Kida-Madison Bailey
also need Mike Mignola to do the Concept Art again
Disney is working in a live action currently.
Called that you were gonna pick Clancy Brown!
Also my choice for Dr Sweet would be Jonathan Majors.
Fun fact - Cree Summer, the voice of Kida, is very good friends with Zoe Kravtz's mother Lisa Bonet.
Might swap one or two for another actors but this casting is pretty tight, i think ill enjoy this live action
Grant Gustin would be perfect as Milo. There is an alternate Bary Allen in The Flash Season 2 who was like Milo in looks and character!
You know… I don’t know why, but when thinking about who could play the commander, the first person who came to my mind was that colonel from AVATAR (not the cartoon 😒) the movie from 2009. His name is Stephen Lang.
Grant Gustin - Milo
Jim Carrey - Preston
Clancy Brown - Commander rourke
Gal Gadot - Helga St Claire
Jack Whitehall - vinnie
David Ramsay - dr sweet
Jessica Parker Kennedy - Audrey
Helan Mirran - wilhemina
Mark Hamill- Cookie
David Harewood - king koshkin
Candice Patton - keita
Here's some alternative ideas:
Cole Sprouse as Milo (he did a great Milo cosplay) (I see you used the background of his room for the Grant photoshopped photo)
Tommy Lee Jones as Rourke
Estelle Harris as Mrs. Packard
Grant and Clancy are also great choices though, and I love the idea of Christopher Lloyd as the professor!
For me I was thinking Ron Perlman for Rourke.
