What is the US doing inthe Persian waters near the Persian state(Iran)? The water lies near the Iranian border. Iran has a right to protect it's territory and neighborhood waters. Even the name of the waters tells you who it belongs to.

WHY the USN allows an aircraft carrier into the Persian Gulf is mind boggling. With the heavy ship traffic in the area there isn't much room to maneuver and the waters are crawling with Iranian submarines. When I was in the navy it wasn't allowed. A carrier in those waters is a sitting duck.
