We love Big Bend, in-fact we run an Airstream Caravan every year to show off Big Bend to 15 other rigs. We go in November to avoid the extreme heat. But what fun it is. Thanks for the video well done.
Beware the time lines. For photographers: I guarantee you can't shoot a sunset at Santa Elena Canyon (@1:25) then drive to Soto Overlook (35+ minutes) and shoot a sunset in the same day (@2:03). Both are good places for sunsets, great if you have just the right amount of clouds. On day two, Mallory finishes the day with a hike to Balance Rock, BUT the photo is from sunrise (A5:00). B Rock is a sunrise pic, at sunset it's in the shadow of the mountain its on, and the lighting is dull/boring.
Thanks for the video Mallory! I planned to be there this week but cancelled due to the heat. I am looking at the fall now. I've never been there so it will be an experience for sure. Love your photography. Starting to lean more about Astrophotography so when I go I can get some great shots as well.
Great itinerary......but you need more than 3 days in the Big Bend area!! Also do not miss Taqueria Milagro on Ghost Town Road right in Terlingua. The best tacos, very friendly people, BYOB - can't beat it!
Thanks for the tip on great pizza!!! We would have never stopped here. Awesome video.
Great list! South Rim and Emory peak are must do’s for those that can handle longer hikes or backpack
Doing Lost Mine, The Window and Balanced Rock in one day would kill me! 🤣 Great tips, though... all the places you need to see!
Yeah it’s a long day! So much to see out there it’s tough to narrow it down to just 3 days!
Awesome video! We are headed there is coming March during my kids spring break, so this was perfect.
Have the BEST time!!! Glad this video was helpful in your planning
A trip to Big Bend State Park is a beautiful drive too.
I had to debate about adding this one!!! Couldn’t agree more though - one of the top drives I’ve ever been on!

Great video! Ugly hat..😅
Kidding-(Go Gators!)
We plan a trip to BB this summer. This video was very helpful! Thank you!
Hahaha go Dawgs! Be sure to plan accordingly as the basin will be closed starting May 1!
Thanks for the great tips. I'm thinking of taking a trip in March. 3 days is the ideal amount of time IMHO
You bet! March is such a great time to go :D the cacti should start to be in bloom late March early April… Such a spectacular site to see!

I see me driving!!!
That was a test and you passed 😅
YES!
For the first night lapse, how did you film that? The one with the grave posts in view? It came out amazing as well as the rest of the video!
