What some gloss over is that in a zombie apocalypse the biggest threat is not the zombies, it's the other survivors. The home must be human proof as well. Many of those shelters are basically "hey large defend-able shelter here, come take it from us" beacons to everyone in the surrounding area. Therefore, in my mind the optimal home would be one that is out of sight and out of mind. A self-sufficient silo home in the mountains, no discernible surface shelter (to keep survivors from setting up shop on top of you) with the entrances and intake/outtake vents cleverly hidden. Think 'Blast from the Past' x a Vault from the 'Fallout' series; Built into the side of the mountain with it's own water source, self-sustaining power source with 25-50 years of battery life, hydroponics bay, and all the amenities that you and a few loved ones could want while you're outliving the zombie horde and any potential invaders. Thinking of after the crisis, the bunker would also need a sealed garage/hanger bay (optimally in a large garage area in the side of the mountain just outside the shelter blast door) to store the plane/helicopter, you flew in on as well as a handful of armored off-road vehicles and farming equipment/supplies in order to facilitate scavenging, scouting, and hauling for rebuilding your corner of civilization. In summary, money no issue, the optimal zombie shelter should be: out of sight, self-sufficient, and have all the tools necessary for reemergence into whatever fresh hell our world is after a few decades of zombies.

I would buy one of those old missile silos and then buy some turrets to shoot all the zombies. Then I would buy a ton of food that doesn't require to be in a refrigerator along with a ton of water to wait out the apocalypse.
I would use chaingun turrets which can detect and shoot zombies. And if that is not enough i would just have AC 130 gunships flying around my house that will shoot any zombies in sight and steel door with concrete in between
