My wife and I ate here during our honeymoon when all the restaurants were 45+ min waits near the beach. We ate a lot of food on the trip but the Udon was by far the best thing we had. The entire experience was great.

The name Marugame Udon comes from the city of Marugame in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
However, the image of Marugame Udon among the people of Kagawa Prefecture is a bit poor.
The reason for this is that the birthplace of the founder has nothing to do with Marugame City.
And that a person who trained at an udon restaurant in Marugame City opened a restaurant in the U.S. bearing the ''Marugame'' name, but Marugame Udon demanded that the ''Marugame'' name be removed.
When the residents of Kagawa Prefecture found out about this, they protested against Marugame Udon one after another (the owner later made peace with the owner and the name Marugame continues to be used).
Other reasons include the fact that the prices are relatively high compared to udon restaurants in Kagawa Prefecture, and the fact that the soup is made from ingredients that are different from the mainstream ingredients used in Kagawa Prefecture.
As a result, there are more than 800 ''Marugame Udon'' restaurants in Japan, but only 1 in Kagawa Prefecture (there were 3 in the past, but 2 of them were closed).
Had this in Manila, Singapore, London and Tokyo. So delicious and cheap. I think it's significantly cheaper in Asia and London compared to Hawaii too. The udon noodles are so fresh and taste homemade and that beef AK had tastes like the sweetest, most succulent Philly cheesesteak you've ever had. It's perfect.

This place is good! It should be long, it's like a fast food. Please come, order, eat and go. There is a shop to the left of this place has good matcha ice cream to finish off the meal.
