For this Video and for all the videos i do at home, not being out with the bike i use Final Cut since for me it was the easiest to use program with a very intuitive Interface and cool colorgrading options.

👍good points Marc, remember "blue Loctite" is your friend for loose fasteners!
Yes I will get me some 🤙🏼
Fellow travellers on older bikes: allways use the oil the manufacturer recommends. 10w40 semi synthetic in this case, if you put full synthetic your clutch could start slipping( wet clutch).
Alrighty. Thanks for the tip. Will do! Cheers, Marc 🤙🏼
Cool and informative video. 👏
Keep up the good work, Marc! ✌️
Thank you so much and thanks for tuning in. Have a great day! Cheers, Marc
Nice, 👍 man!!! Have a nice and safe trip to Iceland!!!
Thank you and cheers from Iceland 🇮🇸 Videos coming 🔜🤙🏼
I would check the oil level every day. I see the oil filler is in the same position as on my old XT500. In '86, I made the mistake of not checking the oil every day in Spain on the XT and ran it short, starving the top-end. It rattled all the way back to England and required a top-end rebuild. Cheap enough but all my fault. Great idea to check everything is tightened up on a big single.
Yes checking very regularly 🤗
Thanks marc , really enjoyed
Thank you🤙🏼 glad you like it🚀
These Dom are the best !
True👌🏼
Useful video! Thank you!! :)
Thanks for tuning in 🤙🏼
Neat. I didn't know the Dominators had oil frames.
Yeah actually do! Good system and does keep the oil temp solid, I mean unless you’re in the city at 40 degrees Celsius in summer 😂🥵
Hi. Buy a special thread glue. There are two types: red and blue. Great videos. I have a motorcycle myself for a short time and I would like to ride it around Europe. I am from Poland. Best regards
Cool thanks for the tip mate 🤗🤙🏼
Hi Marc I went your from Instagram and just subscribed to your channel some good tips here may I suggest using blue Loctite it strong enough to hold anything but can be undo easy stay safe 👍👍
Hey man, thanks for watching and subscribing, really appreciate it! And yes I’m gonna get me some loctide, thanks for the tip👌🏼 cheers, Marc
Ciao Marc... check ok...👍😉
✅👌🏼
Good maintenance........
Hi Marc
Does mean reason to install Pannier rack side carrier for protection when motorcycle fall or to carrying the hard luggage cases?
Hey, actually I have drybags soft panniers, but I had the problem that they push the plastic against the exhaust so I installed the rack. But anyways rack is always a good protection, you’re right!👍🏼👍🏼 cheers
@@MarcTravels Thank's Marc🤝🤝
May i recommend the E-Scott oiler ? It is so easy to install and it will lube the chain constantly. On my second last bike a 800 XC the chain did more then 65000 km. After filling the reservoir you only need to take a little bit of chainoil with you. A few thousend of km without any hasle.
Yeah good idea! Will do that when I’m back I. Berlin. Make it a video probably, to show you guys 🤗🤙🏼 thanks for tuning in 👍🏼
@@MarcTravels There is also a big reservoir for it. Then you can do 10.000 km without refilling. Tubelube or something similar it is called. But if you will Google you probably will find something for a handjob.😇🤭🤭
@@keesverhagen9227 haha maree my girlfriend always laughs at me when i talk about lubricant 🤣
Well done 👍🏻
Next time in the shade with a cool C2-less blond 🍺 … 😜✨👋🏻
Thanks 😁 and yes 🍺🤙🏼
Hello,
Do you have a link of the pump your are using to check your tire pressure? If you are happy with it of course :D
Yeah it’s cool👍🏼 search for Xiaomi Airpump. Cheers 🤙🏼
Zwei Dinge: 1.
Hi Marc,
Little question, when you ride with you Honda for long travels, what is the temperature of the oil?
Hey man, thanks for reaching out. Usually under normal weather conditions it’s between 90-95 C, but it does go up with hot weather and/or city traffic. Last year in Italy and Croatia it was up to 42C in the shades, so I had to stop when she got over 110C oil temperature. But usually no problems with over heating. What’s yours like?
@Marc Travels
I have a XR600R 1987, i live in Belgium, when the T° is 20°C, after 20 kms, my XR600 is 120°C hot, it is not normal. I 'dont know what is the problem.
Hm…you have the Right amount of oil in there?
@@MarcTravels yes the volume of oil si correct.
I use 10w40 oil…what do you use?
Do you find a bit of Loctite helps so that screws stay put?
Yeah I need to try that out, it will help for sure! Will get me some. Thanks Mark! Cheers 🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels I used Loctite for 'insurance' when I travelled last summer on my 1990 honda revere. I'm sure someone will point out some problem with doing this but... I live and learn
@@MarkJames61 i think lock tide is a really good idea 👍🏼
ik zou toch de juiste olie gebruiken , er is veel verschil in motorolie
10w40 semi synthetic should be alright 👍🏼
Caution! This is not the correct method to check the oil level on honda RFVC engines like the dominator. You may damage your engine! The best way to check the oil level is to do it while the engine is hot and within seconds after the engine has stopped. The oil goes back into the engine when the engine is stopped, and the level is done in the frame. You can find the method on the maintenance manuals.
Your Dominator is beautiful! love this version
Thanks for tuning in and the advice.🤙🏼 have a Great day, Marc
@@MarcTravels Thats also the first thing I noticed. If you check and refill like this, you will have too much oil in, which is something, this engines don't like. I actually have two of this old Dom's, already had 7. But its correct, to check oil level of such big bore aircooled Engines often. The guy from who I bought the last one with damaged engine, didn't:

Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany
I spotted that as well. My XT500 was the same.
Oil is important and do not buy the Cheapest .. ! also tire preasure is not good presented..
Hello Marc,
I know you are not driving the Honda anymore, but I still have a little question for you about the MRA Windscreen you are using.
Do you have problems with your handlebar/ mirors hitting the MRA windscreen? Because I've just bought one and I have that problem.... :/
Video of the problem:

Thank's and have a good trip on your electric motorcycle :)

Careful. You better use proper motorcycle oil. Your bike has a wet clutch.
Some oils for cars contain friction modifiers. Using such oil in a motorcycle with a wet clutch may cause a slipping clutch.
If you are lucky the cheaper car oils do not contain friction modifiers.
I would only use it in an emergency,
The oil I use is motorcycle oil 👍🏼
Ok. I did not see it on the can.
Nice bike.
What I like about your bike is:
That it is very basic
Dry sump oil system
Kickstarter
Prolink rear suspension
And no CAN bus / iPhone App / ABS / traction-control and all the other things that can fail.
I owned a 1982 Honda CBX-1000 Prolink for 23 years from 1998.
More parts, but still simple. Easy to maintain, and trouble-free.
Schade das Du deinen Chanel nur auf Englisch machst!
Hab auch untertitel👍🏼 sobald es UA-cam mir möglich macht und finanzierbar ist für mich lass ich sie auch in mehrere sprachen ubersetzen 🤙🏼
