Haha so true. If you have the Extreme model really no need for this. I just care about 60fps at 4K and I can get that on high with most games. An amazing device.
Have you tried using the XG 3080 whilst the Ally is in handheld mode? The cable looks short, so I am wondering if it is comfortable to play with the XG plugged in.
Nope. The cable is too short and too stiff for comfortable handheld gaming. Unless you have the XG Mobile right in front of you on your desk like I have here, you're going to have the ROG Ally on a dock to use the XG Mobile with. I've already asked ROG why they don't sell an extended cable XG Mobile, and their response made a whole lot of sense; since the XG Mobile connector is based off of a PCI-E connection, they had a length limit for the cable before the signal and power drop-off became too much to be viable. PCI-E loses a lot of signal integrity in such a short length of cable, that's why PCI-E risers tend to be only for short distances. So yeah, the XG Mobile is just for desktop gaming.

You need to go to manual mode and turn the wattage to 30w across all 3 sliders. The cpu boosts to 43 and 50 something are useless and just make the cpu hot. Your around 95c in this video. Cooking. No performance benefits in this game. Cpu boost however can stay on.

The z1 extreme works better in higher temperatuere conditions. Seaech it up

Can you update the drivers in the settings of Ally or you have to download gforce experience?
You do everything from the Ally command center which is awesome. What an amazing device!
You have to download the drivers for the RTX 3080 ????
When the XG Mobile is connected, you have to update the Nvidia Drivers.
