How to use Canon DSLR Camera for streaming on Twitch

So you're probably a new streamer and want to use your DSLR Camera as a webcam/face cam for streaming on Twitch. This video teaches you how to do just that. You'll need to buy a power adapter for your camera and install EOS Webcam utility. Then plug your camera to your computer then turn it on. Then pick EOS Webcam Utility as your video capture device on Streamlabs or OBS Studio. I hope this was helpful. Don't forget to subscribe!

highly underrated video. the massive tech channels make everything so long and needlessly complicated with like 10 minute long intros and plugs to their other videos and channels which i hate ( at the start, doing it at the end is perfectly fine lol) when im just after some quick info. you did fantastic, super easy to follow- and i say that because im not great with tech/software and im easily confused so this was great, i completely understood.
Your a champion saved me so many headaches.

Thanks, man! Super tutorial! I was concerned that I wasn't going to be able to use my Canon for Twitch streaming because the Canon Image Gateway didn't show Twitch directly as a supported platform. It was great to see that it can still work after connecting it through EOS Webcam Utility -> Streamlabs. Cheers, boss!

Thanks! it worked!! Just an FYI for someone with an old camera like me ( Canon Rebel T2i ). I download the software for the Canon Rebel T6 and it works perfectly! I tried first with the rebel t3i software but it didn't work but with the Rebel T6 worked just fine! so give it a try, and if it doesn't work try with another software!

Does it still auto zoom and correct focus? Wanted to used it for streaming model kits. Small pieces and want it to correct focus when i bring small pieces close to camera.

Followed all the steps to a tee. Do they force you hto have the pro version now? For whatever reason it just isn't giving any picture. Any idea what it could be? Settings on my camera etc? I have the exact same camera as you the rebel t6

Unfortunately no it does not auto focus. At least not my camera. I'm not sure about other Canon cameras tho

if I am using a Chrome OS, and it is now showing up as a compatible option. Does that mean I completely have to get a different camera, or a different desktop system? Thanks for the video

i got the same thing, did u try running the program with the camera already connected?
Actually I just figured it out, press the set up file at the bottom and install it like that. when u finish installing it, if u press the first file like he did the same message is going to pop up
hii I couldn't find "EOS webcam utility 1.1"
instead i found "EOS webcam utility pro 2.0"
that should work too it installed the driver it needed for mine think its just updated version from this video is all
