I am happy I came across this video, It is so descriptive, I listened to it several times making my own notes as to what I may be doing wrong. As for me, when I try to hit it far and swing for the bleachers, My hands get in front of the club head, opening the face on a straight swing path. As a result my ball ends up in the other fairway to the right. (good to know) Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Is there any way I could print the page you created?
Thank you so much for the nice comment. If I still have the graphic I’ll upload it to my google docs and post the link. Give me a few days and I’ll follow up.
I've been getting a big pull. And at times with some right to left spin as a right hander. Distance doesnt seem to be affected. After watching all these videos about ball flight and the relationship between path and face..and the difficulty marrying these two factors in an optimum fashion, i just want to give up. Its just so hard to be that precise and its so frustrating when you cant get the relevant parts of your body to cooperate when the ball is sitting in front of you.
I truly get this and know how frustrating working on your game can be. Nothing has come easy for me and I’ve had to really struggle to make improvements. Having said that, there’s two things I’d recommend. 1. Make sure your setup is as good and neutral as possible, really emphasize PGA, posture grip and alignment. 2. Once you are confident about your setup, start working on face control by trying your hardest to keep the face square to the path the entire time. Face control is something I’m currently working on and you may find this useful. Finally, if you are still struggling, get a couple lessons with a good coach. I’ve been doing this for the last year, and although it’s made me score a little worse, I feel like I am getting more consistent. Either way, good luck and please reach out if I can help further!
I enjoy your content. Some feedback, this camera setup/ angle with your net looking almost like a goofy hat is a little odd & jarring. Maybe consider moving it or using a different wall to create a less distracting backdrop. I’m assuming you don’t care much, but food for thought. Thanks for the content.
No worries! Appreciate the feedback. If you watch any of my new content the videos are all now shot in my new sim studio. Had to start somewhere!! Thanks for reaching out!!
Very good explanation
Thank you for the feedback!
This is why I find golf absolutely fascinating
It’s definitely taught me lessons in humility!
Good explanation. Should be complemented with the analysis from the forces on the ball according to the vertical and horizontal plans! Congratulations
Thanks for the nice comment!!

It's physics, like snooker.
Exactly. I love the pure science of it. But I hear snooker’s pretty damn hard, physics or not!!
All only applicable to balls hit on the club's sweet spot..!
Fair point. Although gear effect isn’t as punishing as it used to be given the improvements in MOI.
