At last!! This is exactly what I wanted to hear from this sonata! I've heard thousands of interpretations but NO....You are just perfect!!!!! And you gave all those killer dynamics this piece demands! I'm so happy that I came across with your HUGE interpretation!
Excellent technique on the crossovers. I like the tempi. I really love your use of rubato... really great performance!!! I performed this one way back in conservatory. I loved this as a recital piece...
WOW! She plays no. 3 as if it too was composed during a war .Afirebreathing virtuoso.Weissenberg,Trifonov and Gilels too would find admirable things here . Maybe not so much brio and fire at very beginning but it dies down at the childhood theme . The third minutes's staccato and fullhanded chords ' power is traumatizing .I'd love to hear her in Brahms both concerti (saw her rehearsing d minor in Germany ). She is a different person when she plays Schumann . She is completely this music here . How can a person change and then play Hadyn or something so different ?
Such an exciting and beautiful piece! BTW: your hands move so fast that even youtube's high quality video isn't fast enough to capture the movement of your hands!
You play this piece beautifully! I just watched the great Emil Gilelg performance.I felt that in your performance the touch was more unified and more musical actually. Marvelous .Well done.
@@greerfried-pianist6370 The hole closest to the edge of the lid on this model of Steinway is meant for the smaller rod, not the longer one. Using the fully extended rod in this hole endangers a premature shutting as a result of vibrations.
@@rampgamercracka4258 The long rod is not in the hole closest to the edge. I think the long rod goes right into its correct hole, and the black line above that is its reflection on the bottom of the piano lid. You can see that the black line goes right between the other two holes, and not into either of them.
MAGNIFICENT, Tiffany. You are in an exalted class with the greatest Russian trained virtuosi. Thie things that distinguishes you from many of the other super-virtuosi of today are the superbly nuanced, highly colorful PASSIONI and CONIVICTION with which you play.
This sonata is a masterpiece of the highest order. If it makes no sense to you, it’s partly because tying it together into a coherent whole is a musical challenge young Tiffany isn’t entirely up to here, though some of the segments are played admirably. If you listen to one of the recordings by the piano great Emil Gilels, who was its most celebrated performer, maybe you’ll see what I mean.

Thank you Tiffany. By far my favourite interpretation. Congratulations.

The recordings of Gilels on UA-cam seem to be a mess, indeed.
The pole is in the wrong hole of the lid 😂 great job 4 years ago on this piece.
No, it's in the correct one.

Too bad the lost bandwidth allows only 144p for the visuals. Coronavirus, eh?
