@@aquiles1684 im pretty sure I haven’t bought one off him and wouldn’t when I can buy the files and print it how I want but if you cant change the color then it’s probably the same as the video
@@aquiles1684 Of course you can. The printer's fillament won't just automatically change color by using magic. If you have red fillament, it's red, if you have green fillament, it's green. Just like if you have ballpoint pen with blue ink, it won't magically become black ink.

the lower reciever is basically a 3d printed gun lol, i mean, so funny how this is a "toy" so funny. Im gonna scale this down and make it a keychain so every child can learn
i doubt the frame of this gun could be used with a parts kit to make guns buddy LMAO, if you want to make a keychain for that purpose, at least scale down a real frame from defcad or something and use that

A 32 round mag
After 3 weeks of troubleshooting, I'm sick of this design and I'll explain why.
I'm using a modified CR-10S Pro V2 printer that has been calibrated to make fairly accurate prints. After buying the files from Cult3D, printing all the pieces, and assembling it, I found SEVERAL issues.
1. The small piece at 0:51 has a wedge that is supposed to engage with the two-piece rail system. The wedge was slightly too short to consistently engage the pieces. 1. To fix this, I tried 3D printing a modified piece with a taller wedge and it seemed a lot more reliable now. You could also negatively extrude a wedge into the rail piece (1:33) to fit the 0:51 piece. This will allow it to reset more consistently when the trigger is released.
2. The piece at 2:54 HEAVILY relies on your dimensions being 100% perfect and having a perfectly sized spring. If your spring is at the wrong height OR if your spring is too strong, the trigger pin (1:15) will improperly engage and break. I must have had to reprint a dozen extra pins and before I gave up. 2. I ended up modifying the trigger pin to be thicker and fully integrated with the trigger which also meant I had to modify the rail piece it was fitting into. Then, I gave the 2:54 piece a larger wedge area so it would more easily be engaged.
3. The rail piece at 1:33 has a flat dimension which the 2:54 piece slides in. This dimension is SO FLAT that my Creality slicer program wouldn't render and print it. This caused binding issues and I ended up having to modify it to be thicker and heavily impacted issue #2.
4. The slide backplate is way too large. I couldn't push the slide back without interferences between the backplate and the top of the 4:08 piece that fits into the frame. I ended up having to shave the bottom surface of the backplate a LOT to create clearances.
5. The hook in the back of the slide is a weak design. First, I tried 3D printing the slide vertically as shown in this video. The problem is that it leaves support material INSIDE of the slide surface area which can leave hard-to-remove support material which will cause binding. For this reason, I decided to print the slide with the iron-sights facing the bed. The next problem is that, given this printing orientation, the supports inside of this slide hook at 6:20 are almost impossible to remove without intensive knife carving and accidentally cracking this piece. To fix this, I redesigned the slide to have an angular-shaped hook. This means I was able to print it without needing supports AND it gave this hook more strength.
6. The rear iron sights (5:32) and feed wedge (6:07) are way too large to fit in their designated spot. I ended up breaking several copies and ultimately modified the slide to have more clearance. I used superglue which seems smarter because it allowed me to properly fit and align these parts rather than press-fitting these pieces, causing unnecessary material stress, and breaking parts.
7. The back rails of the lower-receiver were too tall and too wide. I ended up having to sand them down after these rails had a too-tight fit which cracked 2 other slides I printed. After a ton of sanding, I was finally able to get these rails to smoothly fit within the slide.
8. The barrel didn't seem to fit the cartridges. I tried drilling the barrel and still had issues. After constantly trying to rechamber a cartridge, the trigger system broke and I ultimately gave up on this project.
I think there are several improvements that can be made to this design which will allow it to be more adaptable for fail-proofing and looser tolerances. In the end, I wasn't expecting to have to use 3D-modeling skills for troubleshooting, lots of superglue, and lots of patience. I learned a lot on this project so it wasn't a complete waste of time but ultimately, I wasn't able to get this project to work.

@zvc_3DPrint Hey there, i just bought the g19 model on cults and began printing and just now stumbled over this comment, im mostly interested in your props because they have working functions. Are the mentioned flaws already fixed in your files or do i have to alter things like @TheKingOfHeartsIV did?
I just tried printing this project for the 3rd time on my brand new Prusa MK4 and this is my THRID time scrapping this project. I had issues with parts breaking because of near-0 dimensions especially with the slot on the rail-part at 1:34. Also, when I tried installing the backplate at 6:30, the slots that hold the backplate CRACKED, forcing me to reprint another slide due to superglue being too weak to hold the tension and load of the (not even very strong) rubber bands. Also, the extractor part at 5:37 didn't even snap-fit into place like it does on this video, despite me being able to print each part to near-perfect dimensions with my Prusa MK4.
Overall, there's too many fitment issues and ESPECIALLY near-0 dimension parts on this build. There's too many fragile parts in this design for it to be functional under playful load.
can you dry fire this gun and still have the blow back on the slide. what i mean by this is if the mag is out and you pull the trigger will the slide blowback? really want to buy this but one of the things i need to fully understand is the blowback
Blowback also works without a magazine installed.

You should make it so that it locks on the last round instead of after the last round, ma only nitpick
Why? In real guns the slide locks after you fired the last round, not when you have one round left.
@@The_Curious_Cat yeah but this gun doesn't lock on the last round, it locks after the last round, you have to pull the trigger after all the ammo is gone to lock the slide back
@@AethenTheProotTheSecond at 7:58 it worked, it ejected the last round and the slide was locked. Also the previous video, of this same gun printed on the Ender 5 S1, it also worked with the slider being locked after ejecting the last bullet.
Maybe it was just a glitch when it didn't work on this video.
