I've watched your videos before and enjoyed them. But this review/demo is EXACTLY what a review/demo SHOULD be. I was on the fence about purchasing this product. I had watched other demos, but none of them got me off the fence. Thanks to you, I will definitely be buying this product. Thanks very much! (Plus, your beats are HOT!)
Thank you for the review! Much appreciated! I had already downloaded a trial, and was looking for a good overview of the features. This was by-far the best video that I came across. Would be great if there was a bit more detail, like how it uses a single-knob tilt EQ, etc... Great work though!
Peter Corbett Honestly, there is no more detail. The knobs are assigned to work a specific way and that's what they do. Glad you enjoyed it though. Thanks for watching.
wait so if there is only one engine for both open and closed hi-hats, can i give both sounds a different chain in the ableton drum rack, and them group them together in the chain view so they alternate?
What's going on? Mmm. My cat's just going on his cat gym. My hair gel is going onto my gentle tresses later. My pan of cream of mushroom soup is going on the hob. Is that what you need to know? Thanks for the review.
Short answer, yes to a point. Sampled acoustic Drums (Waves) vs (Synth)etic interpretation of the same instrument. Heartbeat allows you to blend between the two, which is a really neat feature. Not to mention this is fully Modular now with Softubes "Modular Rack" plugin.
It generates drum sounds, but there's no sequencer (as far as I know). The tag line Softube use is 'Drum synthesis is back with a vengeance', which seems pretty accurate.

Thanks, Hal. I appreciate the kind words. Happy to help.

Definitely a powerful piece of software man
Damn, if you're here then I know this is good.
Ahahaha, they make good stuff for sure depending on what you're looking for.
Gotta look into the rest of their catalogue but you're not kidding, I've been playing with the demo and the depth of the sound is insane!

Where can I get a trial?
What is a 'Wave' sound? Like a .WAV file?

I should have mentioned you cannot add you own sounds, yet that is.
all most like drumlab sounds great ni watch out
Made the mistake of thinking this is like a drum machine - its not. It does not generate beats....

NO PATTERNS OR SEQUENCER. wHAT A WASTE
Nothing innovative about this from an audible perspective. very bland sounding.
