I've been asked a few times to make email signatures. First thing I did I implemented them in HTML/CSS. But after copying and pasting such template into MS Outlook, they didn't work. However, the same worked well for Apple Mail. The solution was to use MS Word for creating email templates and then copying from MS Word. It works in Apple Mail and MS Outlook very well.
@ByteParser it works for email templates, but not for email signatures unfortunately.
Yes. Word works just fine for doing this. MS themselves have templates available that are in Word format. Furthermore, a lot of email clients block the loading of html and remote images for security reasons. This video reeks of switcharoosales.

Just created a signature but when I've copy and pasted into outlook all the things you said are no goes like being able to click the logo are able to be clicked!
Hi there, generally in Outlook, links cannot be clicked when an email is being composed. However, once the email has been sent and is received/viewed by the other party, the links will be clickable. This is unfortunately how Outlook functions in regards to links.

Hi, thank you for the tutorial. We were able to create a signature with the free templates but it is not exactly the same. For example, the bar between the picture and text is not showing up (we are using the free trial). We are using Chrome as recommended, do we need to pay in order for it to work properly? Thanks for your message. The free version works in a very similar way to the paid version. You definitely don't need to pay for the signature to work correctly. Hi Jakob, thanks for your message. Yes, if you have an iPhone, the Gmail app can support signatures. If you're on Android, unfortunately, the app doesn't support signatures. Please see installation guides here:

I uploaded image on GDrive and inserted the shareable link but it did not download the image.
Hi Hassan, When using websites such as Google Drive or Microsoft One Drive for image hosting, when you get the shareable link, it doesn't provide the image in a traditional way where another application will be able to use the image. In order to get the hosted image to work, you will need to get a link for the image which has the image's extension in it. For example: www.example.com/image.png

Hi i just bought this. Great! However I can't install it on my icloud. When I copy and paste the signature it just comes as text. I mean the icloud on web browser and not apple mail with the eagle logo, which works fine.
Hi Taddeh, Unfortunately, iCloud does not support HTML email signatures. It only supports text-based email signatures which is why the signature is getting converted to text when you paste it in. There isn't much you can do about this other than maybe make a feature suggestion to Apple to allow HTML signatures in iCloud.

what is the difference between email signature and html email signature
I was trying to purchase a signature but i noticed you don't have a PayPal option at checkout...why is that?
Hi Kevin, We use Stripe as our payment processor, instead of Paypal. Since Gimmio is a SaaS business, we need the ability to charge some customers on a recurring basis (monthly/yearly subscriptions). Unfortunately, Paypal's recurring payment model is not as good as Stripe's, hence why we opted to use Stripe over Paypal. Hope that helps.

Why the signature doesn t work on outlook? ( images are missing and are replaced with white boxes with X icons)

If the images are marked with an X icon in Outlook, this would indicate that Outlook is blocking the download of the images.

@@NMpar Unfortunately not. It is standard Outlook behavior not to download images automatically. Although you can change it for your own Outlook, you cannot change it for everyone else's Outlook who you send emails to. There are a few email clients who behave in the same way, and it is basically a security feature (to prevent spam). Hope this helps.

Hi,
It depends on which webmail you're using as there are many different types. However, Gimmio is compatible with most modern versions of webmail, so it should work correctly. You could always test it out using the free (logged out) version of Gimmio first.

If you create your own email signatures using HTML, you would need to host the images on a web server, and then use the link for the image in the signature. That way, when someone receives the signature as part of an email, the email client will be able to download the image from the web server automatically. Hope this helps.

It's first of all not free you just have a free 7-day trial and second of all, it doesn't show the photo within the signature at all, not to the sender, nor the receiver. Quite disappointing.

Firstly, while there is indeed a 7-day free trial for our premium features, you can continue using the basic features of the application absolutely for free. No account signup is required for this.
Secondly, concerning the issue with the photos in the signature, the photos do show up when sending. The visibility of the photos for the recipient, however, can depend on the settings of their email client. For instance, in Outlook, the default setting blocks photos in emails from being automatically downloaded. This is a security measure to protect users from potentially harmful content. The recipient can change these settings to allow photos to be shown, but that's something out of our control.

Can you implement purchased fonts into the signature?
Hi Alex, Unfortunately, you are not able to install purchased font's into the signature. The only usable fonts are the ones listed in the generator. However, we always advise people to stick with web-safe fonts as they are the ones that are commonly installed across all devices. If you use a non web-safe font, chances are, the recipient doesn't have that custom font installed on their computer, which means they would see a fallback font (similar web safe font) on the signature anyway. So, it's always best to use the common web-safe fonts for your signature.

can you use it on mobile phones?
Hi,
Yes, you can use our signatures on most email apps on mobile phones. However, some email apps such as Outlook for Android do not support HTML email signatures. However, Outlook for iOS (iPhone) does. It all depends on which email app you want to use on your mobile phone. Most do support HTML signatures, though.
What size portrait should I use?
Hi Heath, you can rescale the image size in Gimmio. So, if you upload an image that is slightly bigger, you can adjust it to be smaller. I would upload an image that is maybe 3-4 times bigger than what you require, and then scale it down from there. That way, if you use your signature on a device that upscales images, the resolution of the image will still look good.

Sure, no problems. We generally don't recommend making a HTML signature in Outlook itself for a number of reasons (mostly to do with compatibility), but we can make a video about that anyway.

Hi there, you can definitely create a free email signature with Gimmio. You just choose from one of our templates and edit it as you need. If you need to edit colors and some styles, these options are restricted to a paid plan only. However, since we have a lot of templates to choose from, there should be something available that is suitable for your needs.

Hi there! Just to confirm, are you using Google Chrome browser to copy the signature from Gimmio? Some browsers such as Safari don't copy HTML tables correctly and may cause the issue you are describing.

An email signature could mean a plain text email signature or an HTML email signature. Whereas a HTML email signature explicitly means that it contains HTML inside it. Hope that helps.
