I battle Major Depressive Disorder. Sometimes the depression is so bad, my body hurts. I come here, listen to clean comedy, laugh until I can’t breathe and I mentally and physically feel better. Comedy is good medicine.
I feel you. I to suffer for depression. This makes me laugh.

I stopped listening to music or watching tv about 9 years ago, when depression kicked in hard. Stand up was all I could handle, I don't care about the clean part(I love swearing), but the lack of adult content when you're the saddest and barely out of pajamas is nice. No need to think about everything your not doing. Anyway over time like it went through a loop stand up/only silence/stand up videos/finally tv again. Now that I've watched all of tv you tube comes in handy. I'm in a stand up mode again...I'm not always laughing but at least I'm not yelling back at it with my angry depression, as will happen with listening to music.
@@elisa7joy9 I had almost an entire year where all I wanted to do was stay in bed. I spent at least a week not even getting up to eat or shower. That year was situational depression. I went through a divorce. It was actually my second divorce. My first divorce, I chose. I went through a difficult time with the first one only because I had joint custody of my son and wasn’t use to not seeing him every day. I slept a lot, but that first divorce I was coping with sweets and cigarettes. I gained so much weight. I really wasn’t functioning and my doctor put me on seroquel. I couldn’t stay awake even if I wanted to. I don’t know if I am finding better ways to cope now because of therapy and learning about coping skills or not. The only thing I can say is this video and many others of Tim’s really helps take my focus off sad thoughts and lifts my mood.
So is eating right. Stop consuming garbage and your body will respond better.
You're a true talent, Tim Hawkins. While our politicians and televangelists are driving people away from God due to their behavior, you're a bright light in our world.
I never get tired of listening to Tim Hawkins. I love when he laughs at his own jokes! He's brilliant!

We had this on DVD, my dad lent it out. Eventually it showed back up, but man was this a bucket of laughs. And boy it still is!

The sad thing is, I can remember ALL of the candies he's talking about! Especially the wax bottles with some juice in it. Never new, still don't, what it actually is! Funny stuff we used to get for Halloween.

You would put the coins in the machine, crank the small flat lever, open the small door and get your small (green tinted) glass bottle of Coke and open it on the machine!

My early memory of "I'm on Fire" is when it came on the radio in the church van on our way to a Habitat for Humanity trip. All the girls sang along, until our youth pastor figured out what the song was about and turned the radio off quick. I never saw his face turn so red. Poor guy. The rest of the trip was sans radio. Only Christian campfire songs. But it was great. I still turn off the radio when I'm driving sometimes and sing campfire songs.
Broke a small bone in the bottom of my foot stepping on a Lego. Ended up having surgery to remove the pieces of shattered bone. Precious memories….😅

Popcorn balls are 'the best'
I'm old enough to remember pulling Taffy!
Popcorn Balls, Taffy, Candied Apples. Homemade chocolates, some Cherry covered ones, some with a Hazel nut in them some with that frosting type stuff that was green mint, red strawberry, brown root beer, orange orange and a few more I can't even remember. Home made Glass candy too (called Hard candy now) But the reason it was called glass candy is that it was melted sugar with the flavored oils mixed in then poured scalding hot into a cookie sheet and after it cooled you'd hit it with a meat tenderizer and it would shatter like glass! Oh and my favorite was hard maple candy! (We tapped around 2,000 trees for maple syrup... Back in the 50's up until the 80's it was all buckets! I actually cried with joy the year we started hanging up pipe!) But we all made our own candy and just about everything else.

I am starting into stand up comedy and Getting good stuff for my act. Musician myself on several instruments, 65 years Old and the house is so full of Music stuff and a S-load of R/C Aircraft. Retired and was Friend of Jimmy Buffet . Keep up the Great Work.

Please do not compare Tim and Jim. I use to TOLERATE Jim Carey and one day I watched a PARODY of him portraying Mr. Fred Rogers as a PEDO!!!! I was floored! Evidentially Mr. Hawkins has never stepped barefoot on a die-cast metal toy soldier aiming his gun.. but on it's side with the gun pointing straight up! You'll do a little yelping when that gun barrel gets driven right into the sole of your foot clean up to the little soldiers elbow ! I actually had one of those guns break clean off down INSIDE the sole of my foot one time!
