great review. love the color. got the same bike a month back in US. Here they just have the gun metal color option. did swap out the crank set as well...
@@damo5219 yes, had a tip on early incoming stock in a LBS... stock disappeared quick...helps to make friends with your LBS... it has the same R8000 groupset, not the 8100 which is a higher spec model
@@ryanlooker6783 ah thanks for reply I’m 5ft 8 myself was thinking the medium might be a stretch , think the small looks better fit and your review too gives good information , I’ll be looking at the S now 👍🏻

Ryan: The only difference between the advanced pro and the advanced is a carbon steerer and marginally lighter wheels. The carbon layup of the frame is the same. Giant wheels aren’t that great and I’d sell them ASAP anyway if I bought this. I think you’ve made a good choice personally buying the Advanced 1!
@@antseeds no experience with them, but seen a lot of negative comments about them online. Also, I don’t want hookless rims and Giant are forcing them on people. So the first change for me would be the wheels!

I just got a 2022 model and the stock is extremely limited in Oz. It’s a nice step up from my older Trek.
You've got a MY22 model already ???? So quick. Does that include the new Shimano 8100 groupset ?

@@riffmeisterkl nice one. Mine is due in November. 🤞
I'm hoping to get my tcr advance pro 2 within the next couple of weeks, can't wait!
Ride impressions?!
Cool video dude... Just wonder how much weight does your bike has now that you upgraded to carbon wheel set?
Thanks man! The carbon wheel set are standard SL2 wheels for this model.
Will these calipers clear 160mm ultegra ones? Annoying that they put the 105 discs on there.
I’ve changed the discs to the XTR ones both 160 and have had no issue, just have to get the back adaptor
@@ryanlooker6783 160 bolted right up with no adapter in the front?
I think if so ill probably just grab 140/160
@@poomunj from memory it had 160 on the front and 140 on the rear, so no adaptor for the front needed.
what the bike weight sir
How would you rate it for comfort in long/endurance rides?
The longest ride I’ve done is 140kms on this bike and I found it fine for comfort
Did you swap the stem? Looks longer than a 90mm
Yeah I did, the small frame came with a 90mm and swapped for 110mm
@@ryanlooker6783 can I asked where you got the 110 stem? I can’t find the oem 2021 stem anywhere

Nice bike, how tall are you for the sizing on the Small , I think I’m in between sizes
Yeah I’m in between sizes as well, I’m around 5”8 I just swapped out the stem to fit

How much would you rate the 2021 model out of 10?
It’s probably one of the best bikes I’ve ridden to be honest, that’s comparing to 3-4 road bikes I’ve had in the past, I would say it’s a 9 for me

Personally not really, maybe only a few times

The pro models are lighter and feel much quicker.
Yeah I believe so, but didn’t have the money to drop 8-10k on a bike unfortunately
