    Actually came close to killing myself last night, this lockdown has destroyed my life, lost my job, in the process of losing my home, the isolation on top of everything just tipped me over the edge. Put on this video totally totally randomly, just trying to distract myself from how miserable I'm feeling and really wasn't expecting a random youtube video from an ex mobster to give me a lift, thanks dude you really helped me today.

      Think about how far you've made it. You started as primordial ooze. Your ancestors barely survived. You are the strongest and most resilient life in the universe. Don't give up now, or ever. There is an unbroken chain that starts at the beginning of time and leads to you. You are vitally important.

      Michael, your Christian beliefs work for you, and I am happy you have that in your life. Here’s where I draw the line though. Don’t disrespect me and my beliefs by insisting that, despite my lifetime of working to be the best person I can be, I will go to your fictional Hell. That absolute belief encompasses such arrogance and disrespect and attempts to intimidate non-Christians. It closes off the opportunity for an equal relationship based upon mutual respect and trust. Believe whatever want, but don’t wield it as a club to recruit converts.

    Most fearful moment! Years ago when I was working as a firefighter. Had a structure fire an the roof collapsed an I was pinned to the floor face down for over 8 minutes. With the fire burning around me I realized this was probably the end. My next thought was do I want to Be conscious while I burn to death or remove my face piece and quickly suffocate. My daughter at the time was 4 months old an I decided that if I removed my face piece that I would be quitting and if I was going to die it would be fighting till the last breath. Luckily my crew got to me an freed me from the collapse. I had several broken ribs bruised kidneys lacerated liver and a ruptured spleen but I made it. What i took from that was no matter how hard things get or how hopeless a situation seems. It’s better to go out fighting your guts out than to simply say this is to hard I can’t do it and quit. It can’t rain all the time eventually the sun will show its face again and quitting just isn’t an option. Live life every minute like it could be you last because honestly it could be. Slow down an take in your “normal everyday” because in the end we all leave the same way we came, with nothing. Tell the people you love in you life how you feel about them every chance you get because one day for all of us could be the last time you have the opportunity to tell them!

    Hi Micheal. My biggest fear in life was having a child. Not because I didn’t want one. But because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to support him, to be there for him. I grew up without my father. I never knew him and he didn’t want anything to do with me. When given the option to see me he chose to just pay child support and that was it.
    I was afraid I was going to be just like him. When I had my son Jesse, my life got 200x better, I was the happiest person in the world I love and would do anything for him. He has everything he could ever want and more. I never understood why my father didn’t want anything to do with me, but I know one thing. I’m a damn happy to have my son.

      I’m in a similar situation right now. How old were you when you had your child if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 21, and I got a girl pregnant. She wants to keep it even though we are both not ready, and I’m terrified. For me, I have the opposite background, I have a great dad and supportive family, so it kills me that I won’t be able to be as good of a dad. I still want to start my career and explore the world, but I feel like my life is over, I feel like I died and I’m now a ghost. How has this effected your life and what are some of the challenges? I just don’t see any scenario where this turns out well for me and my dreams, and the well-being of this child. I didn’t plan for kids until I was at least 30-35.

      @blakerich5804 3 роки тому

      @@Zombikilla10789 bro, everything will be alright. I found out my girl was pregnant when I was 19. I was scared and I was not making the best choices in life. But when you hold that child in your hands, your instincts kick in and you will love that child more than you thought you could love. Your child will love you no matter what your job is. You will be their world.. I made sacrifices, I had to grow up, it wasn’t easy I won’t lie. But everything will be okay my man. The mother and I didn’t work out.. but luckily we have a good coparenting relationship. Just be responsible.. do your best to provide.. and always be there for your child and I promise you everything will be okay.

    This is perhaps one of my favorite of Michael's stories about the life that I return to because of the lessons in it, the first being, the importance of keeping your head in an intense situation. There are many people that would not have walked away from that meeting because they would have let their emotions take over, get mad and say a bunch of stuff they shouldn't have said. And out here in the civilian world people are getting tripped up every day because they simply have no control over themselves.

The people we love and trust can and do hurt us, and we hurt them too. Sometimes unintentionally. Sometimes on purpose. But we have to transcend the anger, hurt, and resentment, because it's those negative emotions that can poison our heart and soul, and keep us from moving forward to more positive things. Thank you for your candor and wisdom!

      5h4k35p34r3 maybe you don’t know enough about his Bible (my Bible) to qualify a comment. Any good Catholic knows that repenting your sins is salvation. I don’t know what God you are talking about but the God I know gives us a chance to atone for what we done. No body is or ever will be perfect but if your willing to try then your worth saving.

    • @hkpr-ro6ui
      @hkpr-ro6ui 4 роки тому

      Elvio de Vasconcelos So it’s that easy? You murder, racketeer, ruin people’s lives then just say “I repent” and you get a free pass. I don’t think so. None of us are perfect but those that are evil are deluding themselves if they think words absolve them of their deeds.

    • @elviodevasconcelos9556
      @elviodevasconcelos9556 4 роки тому

      5h4k35p34r3 forgiveness isn’t easy... but it’s the the right way to end the common theme of tit for tat. And yes! Even a murderer has a chance at forgiveness... only one stipulation. They have real remorse and desire for change. Besides I’m talking about Gods forgiveness not yours. Feel free to resent and hate who you want.

    • @hkpr-ro6ui
      @hkpr-ro6ui 4 роки тому

      Elvio de Vasconcelos I don’t hate anyone. I’m just correcting the notion that after a life of violent crime, the notion that one can just repent absolves them is absurd. What incentive is there to spend decades ruining people’s lives and then just repenting. It’s like paying the corrupt Catholic Church for past, current and future sins. Believe what you want. But there is no god and if there were he’s going to be benevolent to the mafia’s victims, not the violent and cowardly goons of the mafia.
