Michael is the only person I have heard of where going to prison for a while saved him from a lifetime in prison or death. God bless you, Michael. I hope your daughter is doing much better. Peace.
Michael Franceze is the last of his kind. He's the very last of the mob heavyweights who were really making shit happen and have actually lived to tell about it. All the major mob heavyweights over the last half-century are all dead and gone. They either got killed or died in prison. The rest are all in prison for life. All of the mob bosses of that Golden AGE are gone. Gotti, Castellano, Dellacroce, The Chin, Persico, Fat Tony, Tony Ducks, Gaspipe Casso, Bonanno, Galante, and many others who were really movers and shakers in the MOB are gone. Sammy The Bull and Michael Franzese are the only 2 heavyweights from that GOLDEN AGE OF THE MOB from the early 1970s-early 1990s. The rest are either dead or in prison for life. Either they got murdered or died in prison. When I say, heavyweights, I mean guys who made mega-millions of dollars for themselves and their MAFIA FAMILIES and had Cosa Nostra riding high, and Sammy and Mike are the only two guys left to tell the tale today.
What kind of people would admire the life of a criminal? Michael's real life began when he left the mafia, that's what makes him interesting. Gangsters are everywhere.
Only in the movies my man. The 1 lesson you can learn from the, "life" is, (well, 2). Dont bark up the wrong tree and 2. Dont trust anyone. Just be happy he's makin a livin! Ill tell my story too one day.
Mr. Franzese really knows how to hold your attention as he tells his stories. You don't want to miss a word. Thank you,Michael, This is all priceless information for future history scholars.
Michael is a master of recollection and storytelling. Absolutely riveting. That Slice's Pizza made me want to know more about the food and dining aspect of that life. And maybe even what show or movie nailed the experience.
The KKK incident you talked about later inspired a film called 'Mississippi Burning' starring Willem Deffoe and Gene Hackman from 1988 and is without doubt one of the best FBI films ever made. Interestingly this film doesn't mention any Mafia involvement in this investigation, in fact it doesn't even hint at it and I wonder after hearing this if this angle was deliberately left out to protect Scarpa who would have been very much at his prime at the time the film was made.
Yeah I think it was to protect Scarpa someone in the life must've known he'd travelled down south around that time and it would've raised a lot of suspicion
What is more interesting is the theme of the movie is law enforcement ethics, and considering Scarpas involvement it makes me wonder if they wanted to tell us something
One of the characters in the movie was based on Scarpa. FBI agent Monk. Now I'm curious as to who told the people doing the research for this movie the tactics they used to get their information.
@@townfanjohn Scarpa as as an FBI informant/asset was not common knowledge when the movie was made. But somebody within the FBI must have blabbed because originally there was going to be a Mafioso involved in the interrogation. The gun in the mouth part was supposedly true.
I'm gonna thumb this up, and then watch it. Because with Mr. Franzese, you KNOW it's gonna be good. I gotta say, not everything is perfect in this day and age of iPhones, too much technology all over the place, etc... BUT, I am, however thankful for the fact that if it wasn't for such technology, where else could we get this amount and level of quality storytelling? Certainly not on TV. What a time to be alive, where we can simply go on UA-cam and find truly fascinating stories.
It’s like the boss of the Gambino family getting murdered. I’d never heard of the guy, and it turns out the killer was some crazy boyfriend of his niece/daughter? who had nothing to do with the mob.
Dear franzese, i never had a rolemodel/dad in my live, but the things you say, the way you handle things and your attitude is a true inspiration for me. I love how you put it, it was a blessing although you were miserable at the time. It made me realize how blessings are given to us without us even knowing it.
In my personal opinion, Mike maneuvered himself with an incredible amount of foresight, and perhaps broke his parole intentionally to save his own life. If that was the case (I have no idea if it was), it was NOT cowardice. He had a family, and he had to ensure his own self-preservation after he had "one foot out-the-door" in regards to his chosen profession at that time. After spending hours listening to him, I've come to the conclusion that Mike is more intelligent than 99% of other made guys and associates. Why? He did not prefer to handle disputes with violence, he was an absolute unit of a businessman, and he could compromise (and not be taken advantage of) without losing his temper. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Mike put business and compromise ahead of his ego, and probably only used violence when he absolutely had to. He's an absolute legend!
Wow..! The way you narrate stories, your charisma of stating facts of your previous life and previous surroundings is just brilliant, and sometimes I wonder how a talented person like you Mr. Franzese ended up getting involved in the mobster life, but i guess everything happens for a reason. God bless you and your family.
Sometimes we look back at our hardest time in life, and sometimes it's a lesson on how to get past tragedy. Sometimes it's God saving us from a worse fate that would've befallen us had we not been down and out. So happy you know Him, and He knows you.

Having watched and listened to this guys story- I can’t help but think that a guy as clever and cunning as Michael, may have had more to do with him being sent back for parole violations during the war, than it being part of Gods plan. This man always finds a way to come out on top.
I never heard my father say something as family-like as that.🤨 "We'll have it together". 🙂 It doesn't matter if it was a biz plug. He hypes something almost every episode.
My man! Michael, unsurprisingly, you are really good at telling stories and are extremely entertaining. I have been watching your videos for about a month or so now. They are excellent not only from just a historical perspective in terms of recounting what happened and how it happened, but also in terms of setting out the mistakes you made and also things that you believe are the “right” thing. Just wanna give you some props. You are making excellent and fun content. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Thank you so much for this, Michael. This is a subject I had requested in the comments, and I appreciate you sharing this story. Hearing you, on a subject of this magnitude, gives a sense of the personalities and politics of that era in a way that few modern outsiders have experienced before. It does seem like a blessing in disguise that you were locked away and unable to join this conflict, and it makes me wonder about your experiences in regards to the previous war from 71-75 (dates according to news sources). You've said you were right there when the attack on Joe Colombo started this conflict, and I feel for how traumatic that must have been for you. I would be quite interested to hear what insights you have about the "Gallo War" that followed that shocking attack at Columbus Circle. In particular- and while I understand and respect if you don't want to name names- there has always been questions in the public in regards to the politics of this hit- if Joe Gallo acted "alone" or if other families felt the need to silence Joe Colombo over the League. Even still, if you don't want to touch that particular question, I imagine this whole period would be a pivotal point in your career- it ushered in the regime of your bosses, and seemed to happen right before you got on the books. I am confident you can really shed a new light on the inner politics of that time, and break some new ground just as you did in this excellent video. Content like this is heavy, and we don't want to revel in the violence. At the same time, breaking down the human politics of these situations is a fascinating and educational in a way that you are uniquely positioned to provide. Its from a bygone and largely forgotten age of rampant corruption taking over New York City. You stand as a living testament and archive of this knowledge. Hey Michael. Love your content and informative advice. I am an amateur historian of LCN and the Irish mob; being of Irish descent myself. Anyway I am curious on any dealings you may have had with our pride, the “Sixth Family,” Rizzuto clan in Montreal QC, Canada? I know they started as a crew branch of the Bonnano’s. They grew into controlling more area and ports than the 5 NYC families combined.Thank you Sir. God Bless. Clayton Whyte from Ontario Canada.

Tremendous stories, Mr. Franzese, you always come through with the facts and I'm indebted to you because of it. Anything I hear from you I can count on it being fact, thank you for sharing. God Bless you and your family.
Wow, what a great testimony! I absolutely love hearing about the work of God in this man's life. He is a great role model for people who may be questioning the direction their life is taking. It's obvious, at least to me, the genuiness of his relationship with the Lord Jesus. Take it from a man who has lived "the life". Michael Franzese is the real deal.
Keep up the awesome work I’m loving every second.
If you've seen the movie Mississippi Burning he's role is mentioned but they don't call him by name and they had a Black Agent play his part.
I had never heard abt that story but being from Mississippi myself when he started telling that story I was like. “Ya kno... I don’t doubt that” because being from here I obviously know abt the racist history of the state
Happy Friday Everyone!
Love all his stories n openness in sharing his life experiences the former life n his current situation. Always fascinating to hear
Greg Scarppa story is so interesting. This is great content . After a year of lockdowns from covid ,, watching pandemic and prepping videos,, this is exactly what i need to move on. Thank you.
Amazing storytelling - I can envision everything.

Damn Michael! I love this channel man. Mob stuff will be hanging up in my house for sure in the future
Please open a Pizza Place in Spring Hill, TN. So many people from California are moving here and we can use great pizza.
What would you use it for?
@@JohnW8223 to eat pizza?!?!?
Spring hill?! Haha I grew up some in brentwood/Franklin area. Basically neighbors then. Area has blown up now.
People from California don't know what good pizza is.
I’m in agreeance! Moving back there after the Navy and imma need some Franzese pizza in my life haha
It would be such a treat to listen to this while eating that pizza.
Love your transparency! Always extremely interesting content!
I just love to tune in to listen to you Mike, I personally think you are an amazing guy, like you say to us, from me to you, take care, keep safe and God bless you, I'm so glad I joined you. Terry.
That Pizza looks DELICIOUS, man I'm hungry now
It does! And decent pizza in California? That'll be huge lol
OMG, I want two slices now, pretty please? With double anchovies.
Good story👍
Even as a New Yorker, that pizza looked A1! Anyone from this city can smoke any pizza from anywhere else in the country!
@@jk-474 I have to agree. NYC makes the best pizza - period.
You’re awesome. Love your videos.
Love how u turned your life around. Brilliant man. God bless u
Michael you bring such clam and reason to every thing you do. Thank you for that.
Your UA-cam videos with stories are better than 80% of mafia movies.
Thank you very telling your storys, experiences and life lessons. I personally love listening to them. As a rubbish truck driver, roll off dumpsters to be exact. Your channel is my fav. Thing to listen to. I'm excited to go to work just to listen daily to you. Thank you!
Michael sells pizza better than his friend sells cars from the dealership
I remember hearing about that war on the news as a kid. Great storytelling Mike. I always look forward to seeing your videos.
A life of testimony leading good men to be better men. You are a huge inspiration...love from Nigeria.
Right place at the right time Mike. No mistake about that. There's a old saying, "Change before change comes to you ". And you did.
That last minute at around 17:00 reminds me of the episode of The sopranos when they're watching the news and the news anchors are talking about how the glory days of the mob are over while Tony and they guya are counting piles of cash🤣
Sil, cheer me up babe
I swear to god, these ex-mobsters know how to tell a story. Really interesting stuff!
I believe us as being tool's in Gods grandest construction site, like a tool we can be repurposed to his need. We're truly blessed as Americans to heed that silent call. Thanks for sharing, and those that commented. God Bless Ya'll, Carl
Love your honesty about the Colombo wars!
Happy New Years Michael!,you and your family have a blessed new year!. Stay Blessed to the Franzese family!!
Love these vids so much I started answering Michael when he asks "How do I always leave you?"
Michael: "They called him the grim reaper because he said he loved to kill people so much when he kills somebody and buried the body he wanted to dig out the body and kill him again."
Me: omfg O:
Sounds like he belongs at a insane asylum
So many kids will be saved from that mob life after hearing to you sir. Salute ❤️👍
Another amazing story! Think I'm getting addicted to these videos.
What good insight. Respect to Michael and his team.
Michael Franzese, you never put your friends in jail, while these other mooks on UA-cam have testified against there friends and still act like tuff guys. Youre a man.
🇮🇹💪👊🇮🇹
Yup
Have you watched the video of him giving testimony in court? Check it on youtube
I've been reading mob stories since I was a teen in the early 70s Gallo brothers and on.Great semi fiction fact stories Thank you Michael for breaking down the Persico and Little Vic dispute.Clears up a lot of BS Oh yeah Did you do much business in Canada?
Hi Michael i know you're doing an interview or planning to with Larry Lawton soon. I'm sure Larry said he was either in prison with or dealt with "Little Vic" in the street (late 80s early 90s) as part of his mob ties. Might be some good common ground if you two could discuss that in a future interview.
Don't think he met him until he was in prison in mid 90s,he had to suitcase a note to him
@Asphincter says what? kid? ,coming from someone who is obviously familiar with the kardashians and uses super cringe.
@Asphincter says what? you used it against yourself self by mentioning it it the first place.
Saying super cringe just shows that you are either 14 years old or extremely homosexual.
@Asphincter says what? I didn't need to rip off your dig, the fact you actually used them in the first place should be embarrassing enough.
@Asphincter says what? you are an embossed carbuncle.
Thanks, bro,go straight..that life is over..love it...saved me a lot of time and headache hearing that.....temptation comes....now its gone.thankyou Mr Franzese.
I really enjoy your insight and information on topics the general public would never know or understand.
