To shed a little bit of light on this topic. In Spain the song was popularized by some tiktoker, who looked like Cucurella and decided to make the song. His name is Adri Navarro. He probably doesn't know very much about football, but made the song because people were asking him to, and made up some lyrics like the "Haland tiembla, que viene Cucurella". The song was kinda popular and when Spain won, people wanted Cucurella to sing it, to "embrace the meme". On that stage, when the crowd is shouting at him to sing the song, he answers something like "I didn't even want to sing it, but I knew I coudn't get away with not singing it". So yeah, the song in Spain is considered really really light banter, and he is by no means "taking shots" at Haaland like it is said in the video.
Cucurella: I sing a joke song made by fans once in my life until winning one of the most important titles in football. People online: Yeah, time to cry like a newborn.

Its more about styles of play to be honest. Spain's emphasis is more about defending with the ball, by having 60 to 65% of the possession. The other 30 to 25% of the game is mostly, 15% of a midfield scap and battle and perhaps only 15% where they actually defend their penalty area, so they really don't do much defending anyway to be honest. If you take that into consideration Cucurella is well suited for that type of style, he's a typical Spanish left back.
It just sounds like basic banter; Haaland is the back-to-back golden boot winner from a rival in their league- so of course that's who, as a defender, you direct the bravado at. All in the game. Calling it "singing bad things" about Haaland is a stretch.
I remember him at the Barcelona academy. He as clearly special and looked like a future first division player. But he was very offensive and suffered in the defensive. However, he was a key player. England hates that a player without "media" fame in the premier has shown in the Euro that he is better than scores of marketing gigs.
Its because Chelsea are not Spain who has 60 to 65% possession of the game with the other 30 to 25% of the game mostly being a 15% midfield battle and only 15% where they actually defend their penalty area. Cucurella has gotten exposed a lot defensively in the EPL playing for Chelsea. Mainly because Chelsea have been in transition for the last 2 years and they're not a possession team yet. so he gets exposed a lot defensively, Which is where most of the criticism stems from. The guy is playing well now though as Chelsea are getting better which suits Cucurella's game more.

Cucurella is a funny guy if you ask me, as a Spaniard. The song comes from a TikTok meme, made by someone who kinda looked like him. In my opinion Germany played the best football in the whole tournament and where extremely unlucky . When teams can be very direct with quality and get it right, its the most entertaining style of football to watch.
Not really a Spain fan, but to say he's a better goal keeper than a defender just because of that handball is really under rating his entire Euros performance. Was by far the best LB of the tournament
Nice and objective video! Even as german, I have to admit that he gets too much hate, especially from Chelsea-Fans, which are too deep in their own bubble to realize that its not a bad player, who ruins a club/entreprise! We still should've got the pen, especially considering that he tried stuff like this on purpose in training shortly before the game! You really wonder, what UEFA and the commission of referees do behind closed doors!
Well as a German his overall performance in the euros was absolutely outstanding. When he plays like that for a season he is worth 70m Pounds tbh. Handball was dumb though. The song was kinda funny and people take it too seriously.
To be honest, after Kante left, there hasn't been one likeable guy in that chelsea team. Palmer's probably the only one in that category but aside from him, everyone else has an arrogant demeanor, fans hype them up too much, or they do weird things on social media Cucurella - doesn't seem to know that everyone was laughing at him when he was singing his song instead of with him. Colwill - tries to start fights even when his team is winning. even in preseason bruh Reese James - mainly because Chelsea fans still compare him to TAA when he's injured most of the time Chilwell - tried to fight a youngster when he's a senior player Enzo - the captain sings racist song and then his argentine teammates back him up saying they were singing about how diverse the french national team was. yea not a good look Mudryk - I guess there's that incident where he made fun of a guy for working out in the gym but other than that, he's just great to watch on the pitch Jackson - He's slowly getting there, but he has a tendency to tell his teammates who score on their former club to celebrate excessively while pointing at the direction of opposition fans.
Pal, nobody was laughing at him, it was a funny joking chant and he did a quite good euros. You really need to start watching more football. At least a match a year.
Only people laughing at him were salty england and german supporters. Everyone in Spain was laughing with him. You might not be able to take a joke, but the rest of the world sure can
cucurella was shit at chelsea for the majority of his time there. however the spanish coach chose him over a incredibly in form grimaldo and won the worldcup
Still dont understand how that handball wasnt called. But more baffling is how there wasnt even a stoppage for an official var-potential penalty check.
As a Die hard Spain fan ill say that I was shocked that Grimaldo was not starting at LB in the Euro's ... That being said I can't complain too much becuase the team won it all ...
I mean.. it's not his fault that his transfer fee was so high, the song was fan song & it wasn't his fault that the ref decided to not give a penalty. Poor guy, I actually feel for him.. he definitely needs a transfer back to Spain though so we can see his full potential
Let's be realistic here. He wasn't already the most popular of figures and a mid-tier player at best. On top of that, he's neither charismatic nor objectively good-looking, rides on his team mates coat tails without a shred of integrity and/or self-awareness, and revels in his own personal drama on-pitch as if anyone gives a crap about his flailings. He just doesn't matter as much as he think he does. Haaland said it best
@@malixium ok lets for a min we say that was offside but musiala would have been deemed offside anyways so it was whole bunch of bs created by german fans to downplay spain's win coz according to them and football pundits they were locked in to win the tournament at their home soil but they forgot german football team had been shit for years now and only home advantage took them to quarters

It's funny how so many fans are upset about how much money their club spends on a player. It's not the player's fault to begin with. These players don't get to set their price. It's either their club who asks for that much or the buyer just offers too much. Same goes with Cucurella. You can hate him for being annoying but you can't be upset at him because Chelsea spent that much on him. Be upset at Chelsea. Based on his singing, I wanna say he either was drunk or he just has some mental issue.

Morata and Cucurella had a bet, which Cucurella lost (I dont remember what the bet was about) on which he had to sing a song that went viral on TikTok in Spain. Cucurella didnt make the lyrics of the song, its was a fucking lost bet. This dude is a respectful family man that lost a bet while drunk after the most successful night of his entire career, admit it, he could have said waaaay worse things like Enzo Fernandez did, he told Haaland to eat a cookie, stop fucking crying. Btw, there was no handball because before it was offside from Germany and a handball from Germany in the same play.
Nicht gut gealtert diese Lüge 😅
as a fellow german fan, i absolutely despise that guy
"Insert carvajal mock crying GIF"
cry
Do you need a wambulance
Heul weiter
In my opinion Germany played the best football in the whole tournament and where extremely unlucky . When teams can be very direct
with quality and get it right, its the most entertaining style of football to watch.
Cucurella's euro 2024's performance was nothing less than fantastic.
The man was literally drunk when he sang that silly ass song, it's just banter.
Too bad fans nowadays cry over banter
Banter yes, but he sang it multiple times sober too
this feels like a post that grabbed all the chelsea fanhate from 6 months ago before poch started inverting him
Not really a Spain fan, but to say he's a better goal keeper than a defender just because of that handball is really under rating his entire Euros performance. Was by far the best LB of the tournament
2:22 lucas Hernandez is on the list twice 💀
That's a fan song he was singing. It's not that hard to get that right.
Good video, but where is the one on Zlatan’s career? WE NEED IT ASAP!
The football law says if the hand is retracting inwards and not outwards is not a penalty that’s why it wasn’t giving
The FIFA themselves stated that it was a handball
Palmer's probably the only one in that category but aside from him, everyone else has an arrogant demeanor, fans hype them up too much, or they do weird things on social media
Cucurella - doesn't seem to know that everyone was laughing at him when he was singing his song instead of with him.
Colwill - tries to start fights even when his team is winning. even in preseason bruh
Reese James - mainly because Chelsea fans still compare him to TAA when he's injured most of the time
Chilwell - tried to fight a youngster when he's a senior player
Enzo - the captain sings racist song and then his argentine teammates back him up saying they were singing about how diverse the french national team was. yea not a good look
Mudryk - I guess there's that incident where he made fun of a guy for working out in the gym but other than that, he's just great to watch on the pitch
Jackson - He's slowly getting there, but he has a tendency to tell his teammates who score on their former club to celebrate excessively while pointing at the direction of opposition fans.
Pal, nobody was laughing at him, it was a funny joking chant and he did a quite good euros.
You really need to start watching more football. At least a match a year.
@granlago2235 You need to stop being so defensive you act like Marc Cucurella is your boyfriend and you just gotta defend his honour 😂😂😂
Not a PL fan but Noni Madeuke has endeared himself to me after the whole Wolverhampton fiasco 🤣
Only people laughing at him were salty england and german supporters. Everyone in Spain was laughing with him. You might not be able to take a joke, but the rest of the world sure can
@@TheRedBaron1917boi where is ur brain?
cucurella was shit at chelsea for the majority of his time there. however the spanish coach chose him over a incredibly in form grimaldo and won the worldcup
The world cup?🤡
Yk its a good day when you catch a raymar video 13 minutes before its out!
He was the one who assisted the championship goal😂
en Argentina no tenemos problema con cucurella ni con España. entre campeones no nos pisamos la poronga
Los dos teneis que aprender ganar algo sin ayuda de los arbitros.

Cucurella not good? Nobody wants him? Man City wanted him this summer as did a few other big teams. Stop reading dumb headlines.
Uhh... i think you read the headline wrong. It was cucurella wanting man city. Not the other way around.
Theyll hate this guy but love pepe. Yall are crazy.
tbf a ton of people hated Pepe haha
Cucurella is legand ❤
He is a good player lot of heart and soul and work rate is high, as an inverted he is thriving
Your voice is absolutely gracefull 🤢
Cucurella is a great defender.that is why he plays for Chelsea.
Still dont understand how that handball wasnt called. But more baffling is how there wasnt even a stoppage for an official var-potential penalty check.
Cucurella's "song" : 🤡
Haaland's answer :🗿
Literally Cucurella video before GTA 6 is crazy work 😂
Rodri was singing along. Wonder whats the banter like when he gets back to city
As a Die hard Spain fan ill say that I was shocked that Grimaldo was not starting at LB in the Euro's ... That being said I can't complain too much becuase the team won it all ...
The funniest part about the song was rodri dancing at the Halaand part 🤣🤣🤣
I mean.. it's not his fault that his transfer fee was so high, the song was fan song & it wasn't his fault that the ref decided to not give a penalty. Poor guy, I actually feel for him.. he definitely needs a transfer back to Spain though so we can see his full potential
id fall to my knees and bow if i ever see him in public for putting in that world class ball for Oyarzabal's late winner against England at the euros.
Haaland said it best
he was arguably one of the best players in the euros
Not a single motm and still people believe he was one of the best lmao@@OlamideT.
@@bhargavsai8014Bro thinks you need a MOM to have a good tournament😂
@@SinelethuMaru there is a difference between being good and being one of the best, which was what u mentioned in ur original comment
@@bhargavsai8014 Name a better LB than him at the Euros? He was in the team of the tournament which shows he was one of the best
I was surprised seeing him at the euros, pretty sure he was Prince of Duloc
as much as i don't like cucurella that wasn't a handball just get over it spain outplayed germany that night and outplayed every team in whole euros
yea they outplayed them but even as a spain fan, that was a handball
@@malixium ok lets for a min we say that was offside but musiala would have been deemed offside anyways so it was whole bunch of bs created by german fans to downplay spain's win coz according to them and football pundits they were locked in to win the tournament at their home soil but they forgot german football team had been shit for years now and only home advantage took them to quarters
@@shashwotmarsani8417 You are talking rubbish, my friend. It was clearly a handball, there was no offside. And Germany were dominating the game at that point. Spain didn't outplay Germany or France really. Those games could have gone either way.
Bro what? This is so out of context. Cucu is not taking shots at haaland. He was class at the Euros and he did not come up with that song. The fans did!
Some people say the Haaland part was added by him. Dont know what to believe anymore.
In a game where having situational awareness is essential, choosing to have that bale of straw hanging in your neck says it all really.
He thinks he could stop Haaland, bro thinks he's Puyol😂😂😂
I think a lot of the hate also comes for prejudice against spanish people, as cucurella's behavior matches with negative stereotypes we have on spanish people, rspecially in football: loudmouth, cowards, lack of style and elegance, lack of sportsmanship, jumping everywherw, talking super fast in an annoying manner, feminine but extremely sexist etc
I mean if u couldnt tell he was tottaly hammered and looked like he had 2 bottles of beer when he was singing so i guess its not his fault🤔
Scapegoat?💀Wow Raymar, bro has been consistent since January
Raymar this is an unusual video for you man.
Did anyone see Cucurella dive like a b*tch against heechan's challenge when they played against the wolves in round 2 of epl?
Because people can´t take a joke. It´s so fucking lame honestly
I used watch his gameplay in getafe,I even thought he could become Barca's next Puyol but now what the hell even is this😢
Only english people that are salty about losing the Euros don't like Cucurella. The rest of the world found that song hilarious 😂
I don’t like cucurella
I love cucurella
we need a video about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Please a video of giovani dos santos really like your voice 🎉🎉❤
He already did
Cucurella: Just Exists
Football Fans: You're only making it worse.
I love cuccurella ❤
Cucurella is the best goal keeper
It's funny how so many fans are upset about how much money their club spends on a player. It's not the player's fault to begin with. These players don't get to set their price. It's either their club who asks for that much or the buyer just offers too much.
Same goes with Cucurella. You can hate him for being annoying but you can't be upset at him because Chelsea spent that much on him. Be upset at Chelsea.
Based on his singing, I wanna say he either was drunk or he just has some mental issue.
“Taking shots” 😂😂😂
Nothing wrong with a loan to Eibar. They have had loans of players like Xabi Alonso and David Silva...
I don't understand the hate for Cucurella. He is one of the most talented handball players of our generation.
He was good when he was in Brighton.. but the moment he went to Chelsea.m
hey we dont know each other but i hope ur doing well and I wanna say that GOD still loves u and wants u to be with him all u must do is trust in Jesus (dying for our sins on the cross) and repent of ur sins. GOD loves u more than u can imagine.🎉❤🎉😊😊😊🎉
Bro thinks all the world is england, literally every country supported Spain on the final💀
pls make more of this kinda of video is much better just talk about what is happening
You can tell people talk shit with 0 context.
PD: I dont get the part where people say he is bad, he is easily in the top 5 best left backs in Europe, whoever doesnt want to see it, Im sorry you are either biased or havent seen a single Chelsea/Spain game.
He was terrible at the tournament. I remember because we were in Spain for it and shouted his name out in anger 10x more than any other player.
Cucurella's PR UA-cam channel 😂😂😂😂
It's unfortunate he is so entitled and disrespectful otherwise he would be one of the best Spanish Handball players ever!
There was an offside before that💀. I swear y'all don't watch the whole games
Best comment tbh
@@SinelethuMaru There wasn't an offside. You didn't watch it yourself did you. Otherwise show me the proof.
Crazy how a little song can make you a hated player 😂
Because I'm German...

Cucurella was about to come to city 2 years ago
Role model player on the pitch. Reminds me of Kanté. On and off the ball
He is a funny guy in a sad world 🤗…
Ok thank ❤❤❤
The song Cucurella sing at the celebrations was because of a prank song he had to sing at Chelsea
