You're absolutely right about taking your time. Especially with this game or any open world game. You are absolutely correct when you said about reviewers bee-lining the story just to get a review out and then they say 'oh I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought'. Or they complain that it is a 'short game'. An open world game in general (not specifically talking about this one) isn't SUPPOSED to be rushed and only finish the story and that's it.
Great video. One piece of advice: the horse races tips are actually randomized. For me, it just said the lightest one is going to win. I've also had a tip that gave the name of the person. It's pretty random, so if you'd want to make a few extra credits early on (or anytime really with betting), I'd recommend people to actually first explore the map and find a data pad with the tip
There is an absolute ton to do in this game, with exploring, Easter eggs (including a hidden room with c3po and R2D2) and side quests. I’m over 100 hours in and I’ve got the final quest to do, but still have about 10 contracts and a few planets to complete!
The menu options in this game are the best I have ever seen. You can customize the game in many ways to make it more enjoyable to how you want to play and how you want the game to look.

Worked on Rep with the Pykes and up to excellent, and Crimson Dawn is level poor (working on those achievements early just to get them out of the way) So far I’ve really enjoyed this game so far
I love a lot of the elements of this game and enjoy the variety of the star wars universe coming to bear in it. My main issue is for sure the movement of the character, almost feels like im in 2004 stuck in the mud its so slow. Especially considering every game the devs worked on before this. And so strange you cant loot enemies for credits/items only use NIX and cant shoot on the speeder unless you use focus
