UPDATE: This worked fine with a large "E" in Arial, but when I changed the font to Times it does work at all. The shape of the letter is not cut out and i have no idea why.
How do you choose the correct size of letters if you want to make a sign so that when you add your allowance it doesn't run into another letter in the sign? Scaling doesn't work since the space between the letters doesn't increase.
Brilliant! That was really helpful. I have a question. I noticed that your “job setup” panel looked a lot cleaner than mine. Mine has “design scaling” and “modeling resolution.” Two options I never use and would love to get rid of. My question is, are these views editable? I would love to be able to clean up my menus. I’m running V Carve Desktop 10.014. Thanks in advance.
Hey there! Thank you for your kind comments! As for the view you are seeing, this was recorded in Cut 2D (which has a limited set of tools opposed to VCarve and Aspire) and so this is why you have more options available to you in VCarve, unfortunately right now you are unable to customize the options and tools available to you in the software. I hope this answers your question, thanks again and have a great day!
Thank you. My question is pretty simple I think. I have been inlaying expanded PVC letters into wood. I pretty much need to use a 1/8" O' flute bit for the plastic. I can certainly use a 1/8" bit for the wood but the letters are big. it takes forever. Can I use a 1/4" to do the rough work and finish with 1/8"?

Thanks Vectric and Co. for the lovely tutorial. One would think that most all of us are unable to type a small note of appreciation. :-)
Thank you for your kind words! ❤
@Ali Zayne Get off this channel you idiot.
I am just getting started with Vcarve. Vectric does an excellent job with their tutorial videos.
Thank you so much for the information and clarity for which it was created.
Thank you for your kind comment!
Incredibly clear tutorial. Many thanks.
Thank you Mike!
Excellent tutorial. Very well explained step by step. Thank you.

Can this be used for dovetail joinery.......assuming of course, that all the matching corners will have a radius ?

There is only one way to find out.
En la versión 9.5 esta función no me servía, lo habéis corregido?

Will this work with a v bit
This is different than vcarve inlay?
Correct, this is an auto inlay, not a VCarve Inlay
@@vectric Just curious. Are you guys going to create an automatic v-carve inlay toolpath option built into the software?
Great video, but SLOW DOWN!
Thanks!
