Got mine a while ago for my photography classes. Had to shoot film so got this one with a Hexanon 50mm F1.7 lens without knowing too much about it. Just got it for the price.
Absolutely love it. I really wanted a AE-1 but I’m glad I went with this one.
    Awesome video

Great video. Just remember though, image quality on a 35mm film camera is determined by the lens on the front and the film in the back, the body just holds the mechanisms and metering.

I have been using Konica cameras since 1969-70 when I bought an Autoreflex T. I currently own two Ts, a T3 and a
TC, as well as over a dozen Hexar and Hexanon lenses. The 40/1.8 Hexanon pancake is one of my best lenses from amy manufacturer I own and pretty much lives on the T3. Excellent review

I bought this camera for €5 in Amsterdam today, and while I was testing this camera it reminded me of the Canon AE-1 with shutter priority mode! 😄

I enjoy your videos, and this one in particular. I used to dismiss these cameras as junk, but years ago Ken Weber, the well known Konica repair authority told me I was wrong. He urged me to try one as a backup camera, and it slowly became my go-to camera because of it’s size and weight. I cringed when I saw your video posted this morning since I was bidding on one and the auction ended today, but I still got it for peanuts. Now I have three in case one dies. Happy shooting!

My dad bought this in 1980. It is what I learned on. Great camera.

This was the camera my dad had, and the one I learned on. It was a rock solid camera. The metal frame actually feels like a crazy expensive Leica.

I was trying to make up my mind between the Konica Autoreflex TC and Wirgin Edixa Reflex mod D. But you just sold me on the Konica. Thank you !

Konica is super slept-on and has been for a long time because it's no longer a major brand player and just doesn't have the recognition. Funny thing is it very much used to back in the day. Some of the best made photographic pieces of those era were Konica. It's just a matter of time before that rep catches back up to current day.
(not to mention that Hexanon glass is/was simply better than Canon glass back then. it's like butter.)

Man I agree. I also think a little point and shoot is always a great way to start in film too.
    Cheers for sharing mate

I just inherited one of these and a few other older cameras and lenses, yet I know nothing of how to use it or any of it. Love learning so this is my start into photography

Nice video I have a Konica T3 anniversary edition and love it. Don't see very many videos on Konica cameras. I also bought mine for about $12 and paid $20 for a 40mm 1.8.

omg, rarely see reviews of Konica autoflex tc, it is such an unpopular and underrated slr camera. but it was my first film camera, i bought it about 15 years ago and love it till now.

If you can find the old mount adapters, supposedly you can put any of the classical competitors lenses on this Konica body. Hard to find amongst the modern AR mounts, in search results though.

Just scored this camera at an estate sale for $28 it came with the 50mm lens. It’s my first film camera! I’m excited to use it! What film do you recommend for someone just starting?? Not looking for anything fancy just something fun to do! 😊

grats! i'd play around with something cheaper like kodak gold or fuji c200 for color. otherwise most black and white films are more forgiving for beginners!

Thanks for the video! I just recently bought this camera to get into film photography but I am having a hard time with the lightmeter, what do you use if you aren't using the one built in the camera? A phone app?

How does you know if you're under or over-exposed if you don't have the lightmeter? Genuinely curious, I don't have any experience with film

Thanks man, very interesting video. I have this camera and I’m trying to figure it out how the light meter works, set battery on it but still don’t understand.
