So my understanding that the transmission is “Allison approved”. ….whatever that means, idk. My 2024 Silverado Z71 2500 HD 4wd has the Max Tow package. It is essentially a single wheel 3500. Specs are the same except in payload. My payload is 3621 lbs. it has 7 leaf springs, the differentials and axles are the same as a single wheel 3500 and virtually identical in every other way for a less money. I tow a 14,500 GVWR 5th wheel with ease. Just a great 3/4 ton truck. No need for a 3500 unless you need the extra payload or a bigger 5th wheel. If that the case just get a dually.
2024 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax LTZ here. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS! Limp mode and dashboard lights at 200 miles. Happened several times after. Software update from dealer, hard shifting. 2200 miles, transmission leaking. This model year is a LEMON! DO NOT BUY! This thing has and MSRP of $87K! The dealer can give 2 craps about it.......The worst purchase of my life!
Got my truck back today. About a month in the shop due to parts availablity. So far, no more leaking transmission. No more limp mode failures. We will see after my drive this weekend. Heck, I need to start a channel on this truck!
Best HD truck on the road!
I have had mine for few months and no problems
You guys crack me up man!
I still love my 2020 3500 SRW LTZ Duramax and would buy another today but the only reason I would part with my would be a catastrophic crash
Just found the channel. Great review guys 👌🏼 🇧🇷

Worst seats gm ever had , the gmt800 seats were the best. They had lumbar and side bolster adjustments
“Texas Truck Channel” and yet you didn’t review a Texas Edition LTZ…. I’m speechless 🙄
If we had control over the press fleets we would have checked that box!

Spoke too soon. Leaking again today at the output shaft boot on the transfer case. Going back to the dealer on Monday. Ugh!
I had the same experience buying Ford. Nothing but great experiences with GM. They all make lemons.
That’s sad to hear with how high it is
