    Does this lake have any other predator fish in it such as pickeral or pike. I found with fishing really shallow for trout you typically catch those. What do you do in that situation where you don't have just a trout lake

    • @darrensnorthernlife1184
      @darrensnorthernlife1184  3 роки тому +1

      No, this lake only has Rainbows, Browns, and Suckers.
      Not really much you can do to avoid catching predator fish in my experience, just gotta run a little heavier line and be prepared to lose a few baits.

    • @darrensnorthernlife1184
      @darrensnorthernlife1184  3 роки тому +1

    Do you use any trout dough or anything on your 1” tubes?

    • @darrensnorthernlife1184
      @darrensnorthernlife1184  3 роки тому

      Nope, just sitting perfectly horizontal about 16 to 20 inches off the bottom.
      You could add a little flavour paste but it’s not necessary in my experience. This presentation mimics a small baitfish so scent has very little to do with it.
