Cool. I only work with a 0.3 nozzle because I usually paint with paints containing metal. Gold, silver, etc. I use alcohol-based paints. Nothing wrong with the airbrush. I have already done dozens of works with it. Thanks for taking the previous test and pointing me on the right track in choosing my equipment.
Thanks! Saved me a lot of time. Where can I get QUALITY replacement .2 needles and nozzle? Could you also show how you clean the tip when the cap (crown) is off I’d like to see your trick. Cheers!
Great honest review... I recently picked one up for $52 USD with a tiny bend on the needle and fixed it in a couple of minutes. Even if I replaced the needle and nozzle it was a no brainer. What a great brush.
Already tested it in painting camouflages on models 1/72 and 1/35 scale, also parts of motorcycles in 1:9 scale. Even though I have it not for a long time I can say "it is worth it" to get this AB.
Is there really a big difference in detail work from this 270 to the 771 ? I have the 270 and want to add another creos. Leaning towards the 771 but at half the price this 270 is pretty good. Thanks for the reviews
I would say the 771 gets down on detail better and the trigger is softer that's about it I know exactly what you mean about the 270 The eclipse takumi is another one to think about when it comes to detail and trigger stunning brush thanks for the feedback 👍
I was about to get a the H+S Infinity until I saw your review and then this video. Would I still be able to to spray solvent paints with this airbrush? Cheers✌️
@@dredfxcustompaint Thanks for replying so quickly mate👍 Really glad I came across your channel. You have lots of interesting videos on your channel AND you are a fellow old school BMX fan😁👍✌️
@@dredfxcustompaint I love it so far, i used a Harder & steenback Evolution Silverline but i don't like the way the trigger feels in comparison to mt old Iawata. With this Creos i don't have to think on how far i pullback on the trigger like i had to with my Harder & Steenbeck...feels like the old Iawata
Great review Rob, at the end of the day you get what you pay for with any airbrush or spray gun and if like yourself you are using for hours at a time, I use my spray guns every day so have my DV1 guns but I did end up getting a cheap airbrush for UV primer work as it doesn't get much use and is still working fine. 👍
Hi Rob, big thanks for your hard work and content, you really help us, beginners, to move forward :) I got myself a PS 289 and honestly, it performs so well that I don't think i will need anything like 771 or Micron if i lay my hands on PS 270. Btw, have you ever used golden paints on leather? I'm searching for my "thing" and wonder how will they do the job.
Hi pawel ek thank you for the feedback about the channel much appreciated 👍👍as for the golden on leather not tryed it your best bet there is drop Simon Murray a message at sm designs great guy and will help you on that one 👍
@@dredfxcustompaint Thx a lot! I will :) And... I guess people can call me a liar, I just bought a 771. Damn hilarious after my statement above and not even a day passed xD, Found one with such discount that it would be a sin not to take it. They won't get cheaper in the future
@@Pavelek88 its one of the best airbrushes from what ive heard and half the price of some of its equivalents. Its massive overkill for my needs though. im going for the ps270. even 270 is probably overkill for my needs but its such a good price that I'm tempted to get one.
Love these more than H&S, even with trigger fix has a loose wonky trigger due to the odd hexagon shape needle chuck...it wiggles and can have some resistance. Absolute hate the needle chuck on H&S, trigger still struggles to be consistent
I have both the 288 and 771,the 771 is the smoothest of the two but the trigger has an awful binding right from the beginning while just pressing for air ,once you get past the binding it's super smooth.the 289 is pretty smooth from the beginning with just air. However if I change my hand position making just the tip of my finger on the trigger the whole motion is butter.i don't understand it either
I was on the fence to buy one of these, for quite some time. The main problem was that they were not easily available in Greece. Luckily 2 shops started importing them along with parts and your videos convinced me to overcome my hesitation and pull the trigger. I already have an Iwata eclipse and an Iwata hpc+. The PS270 feels and performs in the same way. Its a really quality airbrush and I would recommend to anyone still thinking of getting one to do it. Their prices are certainly going to explode in the future like the iwatas did. I would like to ask you a couple of questions. A) Since I see that you use Golden high flow colors, whats your prefered color/airbrush medium ratio for the PS270? B) The PS270 has the same tiny nozzle design as Iwatas do. Everytime I undo it to thourougly clean the airbrush I stop breathing in fear that I ll strip the thread or drop it. Do you recommend to undo the nozzle for each cleanning session? Could I get away by spraying some laquer thinners and use a tiny orthodontic brush? Im using only acrylic colors like Golden high flow, Vallejo acrylics, Citadel and Mr Hobby aqueus.

Hi thanks for watching 👍 I never take the tiny nozzle out I just flush it with thinners job done that works fine for me
i use tamiya airbrush cleaner. it also works as plastic cement. its very stinky and toxic/flammable so that's the downside.
Good review, nice AB. How easy is it to clean the nozzle and aircap etc?
Are you sponsored by Iwata btw?🤔🤔😊😉✌️
