The airbase included and the connector is for a tin of air so you can use it without a compressor that bit connects to the top of the aircan like an airsole can bit the mr hobby air in a can! You can get cheap cans out of the poundshop for cleaning keyboards etc but when I got mine that's what it tells you in the instructions and it does work I tried it once just to see how it worked! Quite a good idea really

I keep the 270 out all the time. Its been a regular brush for some time. I use this more than my micron or my 770. By far. And price versus performance is unbeatable.

Iwata has no direct airbrush to the Creos 270 or 289. The head assembly from a micron will in fact screw on to these brushes However the air channel on these is deeper than on a micron or the 770/771. The CH has a threaded into the body nozzle. And in fact is a brush I personally would not use as a full time brush. I love my eclipse... and the microns are awesome too, but in between brushes I mainly ignore.

@@TheAIRspace yes sir the micron cmc .23 and ps771 are actually almost identica,l the only thing I have not done after swapping the parts is a spray test..have you Bill?

@@coolkids2064 On the micron? The Creos has a finer thinner taper needle like the original olympos. The 770and 771 have a .18 its finer than the custom c micron. You can also fit a micron head assembly to the Platinum brushes. And it will atomize a bit finer perhaps but its splitting hairs really honestly. The 270 is its own brush, handles paint thicker a bit better than a micron or a 770 and much prefer it as is.
I do have an olympos micron updated with a head assembly from the creos (after over 5 years it was time for some repairs) Between the olympos and the 770 parts I really could not tell a difference. The Iwata micron needle is a bit more robust on the end with a small secondary taper.

Ordered a few brushs ,Badger 105,155(2),Creos 289, Iwata Eclipse..initial impression the Badger have the worst trigger, its rough/gritty compared to the Iwata & Creos which are VERY SMOOOOOTH,..I say the Creos is the real winner here $$$$ ,I also ordered a Creos 290

Good stuff Mike. I have an Iwata pre set cutaway handle (Eclipse I-155-6) and it fits perfectly on the PS-289 and PS-270.

I've put this comment in the ps 289 video but it's a bit older video so I'm put it here to.We need a comparison video on all these airbrushes. I have a raptor a talon both .38 and sparmax dh2 .25 a badger 360 .3 usually but use big guy on syphon feed two anthems and one those generic micron clones. And I want to get a PS 270 or 289 but don't know which would fit in my collection. Also I'm selling a anthem because I don't do shirts and the dh2 is great so idk if it's worth getting a ps270 because dh2 is .25 sprays super detailed easy. So I'm looking at badger krome or sotar with the multiple sizes included but think creos would be a higher quality and can't find anything comparing all these different brushes. I bet if you did a comparison instead of reviewing another brush it'd be useful to alot people and get mad views. I'm certain there's alot of people who are in the same spot and at 100 and up per airbrush it sucks going trial and error.

That protective plastic for the case could be used to make a stencil.

Thanks Mike for doing that review! You've sold me on yet another airbrush, can't wait to pick mine up. I got a question for you, Have you ever had to replace your needle chuck spring on the eclipse? and if so is it something that needs regular replacement depending on how much you use your airbrush? Again thanks for doing the review was definitely curious about it for the price👍

I've changed them out on airbrushes but just because I like a looser trigger. I've never heard of a name brand gun have springs wear out. If one does simply take one from a pen and cut it slightly longer than original it'll work like new. Just leave yourself little extra so you can take more off because can't add it back.

@@dlmdlm7685 Thanks for the reply. I actually just went ahead and bought a new spring, it was a night and day difference, even from when the airbrush was brand new. I'm thinking it might have been a batch that they over heated or stressed at the factory 🤷‍♂️ all I know is since I put a new spring in its been working like a dream.

PAra el precio que tiene es una mierda de aerógrafo. Cuando le da la gana escribe y cuando no no lo hace.....DINERO PERDIDO.
