i would really like to know which neck pickups paul masvidal used in the death-human album. his solos sound like they came out of a space ship, really looking to achieve that tone.
He used his Steinberger GR4R with Bareknuckle Miracle Man humbucker in the bridge and Trilogy Suite single coils in the middle and neck positions. Also, in 94 or 95 he installed an internal Roland synth pickup (actually Roland Gm70). As an amplifier he used A/DA MP-1 Preamp. I'm probably late with the answer, but I just found this video.
