- The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square perform "Worthy Is the Lamb That Was Slain," from Messiah by George Frideric Handel.
Episode 4675. Aired April 21, 2019.
Greetings from South Africa. I get the shivers down my spine each time I listen to this exquisite rendition. So befitting during Easter's.❤
A truly glorious and miraculous performance, it does demonstrate what humanity can do. Praise God!
This is the most stunning and glorious version and performance of Handel's Worthy is the Lamb that was Slain and the finale Amen that I have heard. The soft beginning of Amen sounds almost like wind blowing and the voice of Nature and then the dynamic glorious shift in the middle is like the Angels singing from Heaven ..... the voices of all creation singing together of God and His Christ. Stunning! A tremendous and spiritually uplifting performance!
For those of us that love Handel's Messiah, it doesn't get any better than this.
'Awakened in the middle of the night remembering this inspiring message that I used to sing with my high school choir >50 yrs. ago.. 'Listened to it again this morning. Gives me a lump in my throat.
You, too? Can't wait till we get there, it's going to be quite the atmosphere with His presence, the music, the adoration, my O my!
Same. 50 years later.
It's heavenly music inspired by Our LORD GOD!!! Music full of Our LORD GOD GLORY FOREVER !!!
I can see John Revelation and Our LORD sitting on The Throne of heaven!!! Amazing!!! GLORY TO OUR LORD GOD FOREVER AND EVER!!!
Get to sing this magnificent song in our church today.
What a beautiful music.
Hallelujah hosanna to Almighty God what a great performance 😢
THIS IS THE BEST CHOIR IN THE WORLD
I've been blessed to witness the choir perform the Messiah in the Tabernacle at least 3 times.....words cannot begin to describe what the combined inspired composition of Handel's work and the Orchestra and the Choir bring to ones soul......during the last break before the final notes the Tabernacle is actually throbbing itself....it is a stunning thing to witness, amongst tears of emotion!
Beautiful celestial music, thank you Tabernacle choir, GOD bless all.
Thank you for the beautiful inspirational hymns that the Tabernacle choir has presented over these many years, and especially now as Covid-19 has changed many lives; including this Easter 2020, where many cannot assemble for church services.
He is indeed Risen!
True soul music for the soul. A real blessing.
These are truly unusual days that we of most nations are currently experiencing concerning the Covid-19 pandemic. With many thousands who are self isolating during this Good Friday of Easter 2020, to help slow and stop the spread.
Thank you for filling a good portion my day with your hymns of praise. He is truly to be praised and glorified.
With Best Wishes to each and every one, for His Peace, Happiness and Excellent Heath. May we all take this time to reflect on the many mercies He has bestowed upon us -- having given us time to reflect upon life and how blessed many of are to-day.
"Oh what a day that will be when My Jesus I shall see, When I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His Grace."
Sincerely yours,
As usual, I am speechless after this performance. 'A towering achievement by Handel, to whom we owe so much.
That rare experience when earthly art reaches the heavens.
Magnificent choir and orchestra. The Mormons get it right!
Exalted be the Father and the Lamb, in the Union of the Holy Spirit for Ever!!

😊👍👍👍👍👍
How could they have sing this song without a script
Practice. So much practice. Eventually one gets to the point that one simply puts the music down because it is memorized.
