2021 Messiah Concert.
As one raised in poverty in Chicago, moving to Salt Lake City with $60 dollars in my pocket, I went to this with some Larsen children and it changed my life. Being a long hair rock guitarist, it humbled me and set in me a glorious feeling in spirit and mind. One of the most joyous periods of my life.
I lost my wife 10 years ago this gives me comfort that we will be together again
And I lost my husband 11 years ago....Puji Tuhan karena Tuhan Yesus selalu menguatkan kami..
God gave Handel a message to deliver. He did.
Oh so true! I was just thinking how music like this comes out of one man, and the answer is it doesn't. It comes from God
God blessed him beyond measure 🙏❤
Love this song
I heard that after he decided on the verses that he wanted, he wrote the whole performance in less than 28 days. Kind of like Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel.
AMEN
I believe Angelic choirs sing this in Heaven. I have had the privilege of singing The Messiah several times. Thanks for posting this!!
May all bow in awe before God, our Creator .
Thank God for Jesus. I lost my dad three months ago. This music makes me feel so close to him. We always listened to it together.
Ok
My dad died a year ago and I couldn't agree more with you ❤. I'm blessed that I know that he's now singing with the angels to God face to face
헨델의 메시야! 아멘 할렐루야
Hugs to you Suzette.
May God bless your dad in heaven...
and may God bless you also my sister, Amen.🙏✝️
I too believe that the Handel's Messiah is the greatest musical composition ever
👍
Dear friends and believers in Jesus Christ, thank God for every thing, lovely ❤
George Fridriech Handel was truly touched by God. Sent here to remind of his presence.
I’m always stunned by this beautiful, glorious piece of music.
A great example of true inspiration.
I he said he saw God, or a brief vison, before writing this piece. So I've heard.
This is the language my soul understands
The miracle of Western Civilization which produced such music. CHRIST is risen! Praise God!
Amen
And the Saint Matthew Passion of Bach.
Christ is risen indeed!Praise his Holy Name.Amen and again Amen!
I don’t believe anyone can listen to this Masterpiece and not be moved …
What a wonderful gift from the Mormans. Regardless of faith, the orchestra, choir, costume, and theater, draws one closer to the Supreme Being. Thanks to all…Jerry
The finest instrument God created is the human voice.
I love Handel's Messiah. My late Mother used to take me when it was in Darlington, this was in the 1940s. I love all good music, thankfully I was brought up with it. I am 82yrs old and sing in a Choir.Hopefully going to The Royal Albert Hall next year to sing with a lot of other Choirs. It is for Cancer research UK. Looking forward to it.Enjoying listening to this Concert.Absolutely wonderful. 🎼🎶🎵🎵🎶🎼.
One of the best classical music works of all time.
Father God, thank You in the Name of Jesus.
Tears & JOY!!! How Good GOD is to give humanity the Language of the Heavens!💝
Simply, simply magnificent. God the Father spoke through the Holy Ghost to inspire Handel to create this work to praise the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Indeed...
Igualmente niel.
Angels visited Handel as he created this masterpiece. The music is heavenly.
Without a doubt. My Cats and I listen here on Easter Morning, 4/4/2021. ✝️ King, of Kings. ✨🕊✨
Yes, truly
You are so right Michelle Handel was definitely Divinely inspired and anointed by God.
Actually, we do not know about any angels. What we know is that Händel was recovering from a stroke in Aachen and then found the inspiration to write this phantastic piece of music.
@@Saefken Stefan Zweig wrote about it in "Sternstunden der Menschheit", English translation: Decisive Moments in Hisory. It is absolutely worth reading it!
I've been listening to and watching the Messiah for all of my adult life (50 years or so) and this is the best performance I've seen, bar none. Just fantastic in every respect.
❤❤😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Imagine all legions of angels in heavens sing this to welcome the victorious Lamb from the Resurrection of our Lord JESUS CHRIST!
I believe you are right. In my mind I have seen it. "And He shall reign forever and ever."
My thanks to all the choir and orchestra volunteers who labor and share their talents with us in praise of the Man of Righteousness, even Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer.
My husband Paul (now deceased) sang the Messiah with our local choir, every year for about 12 years. What a blessing it was to know this music intimately, and now to hear the great Tabernacle choir sing it. I'll be singing along.
Bless you and your husband in our Lord God
My dad Richard would have loved to hear this if he was alive, as he formed the Symphony Orchestra of Ceylon. He was the Radio Chief way back in 1948, and was also Chairman of the Arts Council of Ceylon.
Hiram Peter.
And he (your husband) for sure is still singing it besides Jesus Christ and delighting everybody around them. Blessings
I am ashamed I've never listened to the *entire* performance until now. The parts I had listened to I have always loved so I don't know what to me so long to discover this. I shall never miss out again: listening during the Easter Octave is now a tradition for me.
I'm graetfull my Family was able to have this music in our home
Our Mother would put the records on early in the mornings. Bring s back good memories of my younger sister. Who played the Viola. In a local orchestra. She passed in 2021.
Bless!
Thank God that all these people accepted God’s gift and this very special gift of sharing this very meaningful message for many people
I have participated in choral performances with some of these songs. And I felt that God was standing over the roof of the hall and listening to our performance. The Holy Spirit has inspired their author, for God's glory!
Learned that song in Tent Hall Glasgow around 55 years ago. He is Lord and all authority is His in Heaven and in Earth ! Even so come....
Handel didn't know the Bible, until this. The Lord can do ALL things. My absolute favorite. 🙏
What a beautiful performance of a true masterpiece worshipping god and the Good News of Jesus Christ. Greetings from Germany, the home of Georg Friedrich Händel!
Blessings and Greetings back to you! May God richly bless and keep you, in Jesus’s Precious Name, Amen! 🕊💕🙏💜✝️✡️🙋♀️🌹
I RECENTLY SAW THE STORY OF HOW HANDEL WROTE IT. I'M A MUSUC MAJOR AND HAD NEVER KNOWN ITS STORY.
Makes me so proud to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints....This beautiful music, written, played and sung by people gifted and Blesses by God.....Amen
It is now the day after Thanksgiving, November 26, 2021. My being a grumpy old man, I disapprove of Christmas decorations and other Christmas shopping enthusiasm appearing before Thanksgiving Day. But now I am comfortable listening to this music. I am filled with the spirit of the holidays. I think this is one of the better performances.
I.love this musical program. It is very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Muito lindo mesmo
I'm a year round Christmas celebrator, but I think your comment is so delightful. The embers of Christmas are down inside your soul Mr Scrooge. 😆 God bless. Wishing you a Happy Easter.
Being a grumpy old man myself, I loved your comment.
This solemn music must help people having deep darkness in their hearts,
and
This will wash away the secular dirt
God is always good and he loves us before we can love him back. Praise his name forever !!
Thank you Jesus for dying for us !!!!!
My dad Richard would have loved to watch and hear this fantastic performance if he was alive, as he formed the Symphony Orchestra of Ceylon. He was also the Radio Chief way back in 1948. He was also the Chairman of the Arts Council of Ceylon.
This is a great performance. Every artist dedicated to the performance.
Hiram Peter
He most likely IS listening to the heavenly choirs! They probably sound much like this! Bless!
I know that my redeemer lives for me thanks and blessings love to you and the Church family on Earth Amen Amen .Ann. DeakinWarwick UK
Brings me to tears every time I hear it! We will sing this in heaven one day! Thank you, Almighty Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!
Yes,yes ,yes! !!!!
Ok
BRAVO!! TO GOD IS THE GLORY!!!
Yes you will, Pamela, I have no doubt of it. And I'll be in that grand choir right along with you. :)
"Classical music always helps my hurting soul" [Lisa Hamel]
I can't believe that Handel was able to compose these pieces of music in such an incredibly SHORT period of time!!!
It truly was inspired!
Inspiration!
The Holy Spirit came upon him
The audience appreciation after the Hallelujah 🤩🤩✝️🕯️🎶👊🏻
Handel's Messiah is one of the most incredible pieces ever done! The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is the most incredible choir and does such an excellent job with Messiah! This touches me every time I listen to it. Thank you for this!
The most beautiful piece of music ever written, and yes, I believe he was inspired by the ALMIGHTY , HIMSELF.
Any man lock himself in a room & write this?
He had to be surrounded by HIS ANGELS.
Amen
Thank God for His pure inspiration!
Amen!

When my mum was with us, and younger, she sang for 25 years with the Huddersfield Choral Society, and they performed the Messiah every Easter and I was privileged to always have a ticket. I haven't heard it for some years now so I came across it this morning and thought - oh wow let me listen. I practically know if off by heart. The choir sang it well but not with the "welly" that the Choral gave this great work. But I am extremely grateful this Easter Sunday morning for this amazing experience and memory. And to have the opportunity to sing, albeit scratchily, with my favourites. Gorgeous.
I thought the sopranos were magnificent. I hope my mum has called in to listen to this today. She would have really loved it.
I have changed my mind, they did give it some welly and were all so controlled and you can see that singing this remarkable work makes people believe in it.
What do you mean by "welly"? I have never heard the term.
@@schizoidman7916 It is a Yorkshire expression, I think. It means they really go for it and sing from the heart and soul. I once had a seat in the middle of the upper tier in the local Town Hall, which was referred to as the "gods". I was right in the middle and they sang the Amen chorus and it felt like I had been blown out of the back of the building. Also the National Anthem, that was always incredible - two verses. You have never heard it sung like that before....
I am an atheist and still loved this. The ingenuity of human beings to use their vocal chords, in a way that inspires others, is a thing of beauty.
I didn't even mean to find this, but it played next and now my anxiety is gone. What beautiful music we are blessed with.
I very much enjoyed the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra especially the rendition of Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus". I enjoyed it immensely today being Easter Sunday 2022. Now I'm listening to the full Handel's "Messiah". Over 20+ years ago, I was part of our church's choir and sang some songs from Messiah. Every Easter, we would sing the "Hallelujah Chorus".
"The Trumpet Shall Sound," is my favorite piece. I only wish the trumpet had been louder.
God Almighty really guided Handel to arrange this music.
GREAT VERSION OF THE GREAT WORLD MESSIAH BY HANDEL
Once again, the Choir at Temple Square has given us a performance to view over and over. I am so proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to have the blessings of listening to this choir on a weekly basis. This is the first time I have watched this video, but it will certainly not be the last. The music and lyrics of The Messiah are to cherished frequently.
The first time I was introduced to classical music was And the glory of the Lord will be revealed,in High School almost 40 years ago. This type of music was so soothing and most importantly was based on Scriptures esp our Saviour Jesus Christ. I have always listened this piece from the Tabernacle Choir. This is Heavenly music and I love it still meaningful even after all these years. Thanks Mr Handel.
The Messiah became the main event every December. The beauty of the music and the performance of the choir became strong support when my spouse passed away. While attending the event, I felt the presence of the person going to other life. I felt spiritually invigorated and gathered the energy to continue living without the presence of the loved one.
I love our church! Thank you Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. 🙏🏼
Yes Brother its true. i feel like might be the same kind of singing are happening in the heaven where our heavenly father and Jesus Christ lives
God is KING!
Imagine hearing it in heaven. I suspect it is on the playlist!
I've had the opportunity to perform in a choir and perform the Messiah - it is the most superb feeling.
Me too! I agree! I was able to do so in my last year at my first college, the Christmas before covid hit. So incredible, and I'm so glad to now have this music in my mind and soul
I too performed it in college. Was the most challenging piece I had to do at the time, but soooo satisfying when I was able to complete it! Sooooo rewarding!!

Yes, such power and beauty flows through that music and thoee words.
I can't go through a Christmas or Easter Sunday without hearing at least one version of performance of Messiah. I'm thankful that I can do that now whereas years ago, we had to listen to 33 1/3 LP records (for those old enough to remember what LP records are)
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK. JESUS CHRIST WANTS YOU. PLEASE GIVE YOUR HEART TO JESUS CHRIST NOW. GO TO CHURCH TODAY. AMEN.ALLELUIA.ALLELUIA.ALLELUIA.
The soilists are incredible.
Tamara Mumford mezzo soprano is magical. I'd really felt in love...her voice...IS wonderful. Thanks God.
I can’t imagine anyone thumbing down on this.
The scripture tells us that not everyone but only a few will accept or acknowledge Christ's sacrifice on their behalf.
The Book of Mormon revealed that there will be opposition in all things, light and darkness but the God of the universe Jesus Christ will prevail .
I would imagine it's the lack of masks; people probably aren't looking at the description and realizing that this is a recording.
So beautiful and inspiring! I listen everyday on my phone while I work and can feel the hope of Jesus Christ. I know my Redeemer lives!
Wow
And then there is the splendour of music and birds, especially in spring. Way back, Jesus enjoyed that too. So much beauy in the here and now.
Mój ulubiony Barok a w nim Haendel. Śpiewałam Allejuja z Mesjasza w chórze Cantata w Elblągu. Piękny utwór.
God bless you and the Chorus!!
I'm listening at Christmastime and my Daddy used to play this every Christmas and Easter. What a comfort, and this is performed beautifully as well! My eldest son has performed the 1st tenor aria and serves as a testimony that you can never start your children's and grandchildren's appreciation for the classics.(He was listening in diapers with Grandpa.)
That's a huge choir! Greetings from Switzerland. :)
Incredibly talented artists donating their talents to witness the Savior of all humanity is a blessing to the World. Thank you. Each of you who performed in any way.
yes, He is the Savior of ALL humanity.
A beautiful way to commemorate the final week of Christ's life, Atonement and Resurrection.
I thank God for Mr. Handel for God has used him in his piece to reveal his glory
😅😅
This reminds me of the early 70's in high school when our Concert Choir performed this. We started preparing about 5 months. It was difficult for 14 & 15 year olds. Our director constantly challenged us. I still love singing opera.
Great rendition of The Messiah. I appreciate disciplined singers.
We sang it too in high school one year! Best choir experience ever!
Wishing everybody
A Happy and Blessed Easter, whereever you are.
C.B, Frankfurt, Main, Germany
THE BEST ORATORIO BY ONE OF THE MOST GIFTED BAROUQE COMPOSERS .

One of the greatest opera's ever written. PRAISE THE LORD ALMIGHTY!
OUR BELOVED CHRIST .HUMANITY IS IN HIS HANDS.HE SAID:"I'LL BE WITH YOU TILL THE END OF TIME!
Outstanding musical talent, choir, Conductor, and orchestra. A joy to the senses. Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏
From my childhood, we sang this every year at Easter...What beauty is in this piece!! F. Becker
The gospel of Jesus Christ manifest.
In high school and college I was privileged to sing the soprano leads.
And who may abide the day of his coming. Very very fine.
The best musical art of all time!
I'm sure you are indeed doing the will of God.
I found Waldo again in this video at 110 . Cant fool me.
Handel was inspired of God.
Am so grateful to all of you for making my day great, only listening to you guys makes me feel like am in heaven already. God bless you all real good.
thank you for this very beautiful music .... our ever favorite! super performance! ....from a Filipina who's enjoyed this every year for almost 50 years and never tire of Handel's genius re God's love narrated with music!
God is in the room.
So often those who present this work concentrate on the beauty of the music, at the expense of the message. This presentation emphasizes the message. He Lives! The Messiah lives.
Amen.
🙏🏼
I agree with you, Vernon. I'm not a fan of Handel's offering of "The Messiah," as it is often done poorly and for the sake of doing it, IMHO. As a musician, I don't find it particularly interesting nor beautiful; however, the text is unmistakably strong, as it is direct scripture. Having said all that, my favorite chorus is "And With His Stripes We are Healed."
Huh? How beautiful is the music supposed to be? Just medium? Slightly above medium, maybe?
You are so right! I only knew one part, and knew it was Godly as many classics are, but I hear in this part, The Gospel! Praise God!
Thank you from Slovakia!
Christ is risen . Rebirth and Happy Easter to the Whole World. Hallelujah . Amen
So wonderful too be able to hear such beautiful music like this when we are unable to hear it in person. Blessed Easter to all.
The solemn comfort of this masterpiece is irreplaceable
This is just THE BEST ever. I've done four "Messiah"s (alto) two in the Sydney Town Hall and two in the Sydney Opera House, back in the mid-late 90s. Got onto this, got out my old score and sang along. By golly, it made me feel good. In these dark times of covid and God only know what else you need something that lightens the heart and lifts the soul and this does it in spades. Thank you, thank you, thank you. A beautiful rendition that brought tears and cheers from this Aussie way down on the underside of the world. Bless you, people!
I have lisrened to this in Sydney Opera House in the seventies
Irreplaceable music of my lifetime! God be praised for this music! Thanks to Handel, the composer!
I sung this masterpiece in concert choir 60 years ago and I still have it on my mind.
This is healing balm of the sin wounded soul .
This is truly angelic music from heaven. God allowed Handel to give us a piece of Heaven.❤
I love Jesus Christ and faithful in Jesus Christ. ♥️🙏
Me too❤️🙏
I love Jesus
The only hope for humankind.
A superb version of this wonderful work. Besides having exceptional voices the diction of the soloists was a real joy. There was nothing to detract from the brilliance of the whole in this performance, which must become one of my all-time favourites. Thank you to everyone concerned.
The mezzo has it all. Fabulous
So beautiful ❤️
yes, it is wonderful¡¡
It just never gets old, too heavenly
Mr Handel Alleluia ! Praise be to God The Almighty Father for your God given talent we can feel The Presence of The Eternal Father with your absolute Powerful Music
