- In today's UA-cam Short I'll give a brief history of the Ocram Boss that was added to Terraria and later removed by Re-Logic in 2017.

Since Ocram has now been removed I actually used the Consolaria mod for Tmodloader 1.3.5 to gather the footage!
Isn't Tmodloader out for 4.0 now though?

@@koldonn1111 Yes, tModloader is out for 1.4 (which is what I assume you meant). However, some mods still haven't been updated to the newest version of the loader, and I assume this is one of them.

This video was great because in the middle of your last video I went to look up Ocram after its name popped up. I thought it was a calamity boss i hadn't reached yet(just started playing with mods this month, suer fun) and was surprised to see a boss that's only on 3ds and mobile.

still the biggest tragedy that ocram wasn't reworked and put back into the game
I like the design of Ocram, if it had unique AI it could be a fun addition
ocram would be cool as a hardmode corrupt/crimson exclusive boss. even if he was just his own unique content bubble that didn't wrap into much other pieces of the game with some exclusive item drops i wouldn't mind.
@@RematodeRanger since it carries the souls of blight, it makes sense make it a hardmode graveyard boss that is basically a BoC but beefy and more laser-y.

Console was... interesting. I remember playing and beating ocram so long ago and getting souls of blight. He was pretty fun with his literally endless barrage of proectiles.

That almost happened. ALMOST. New secret seed lets you craft Ocram's Razor, which summons Mechdusa.
@@KogasaTatara514 Those bastards lied to us. It was dangled in front of us, only to summon a mechanical abomination, albeit a cool one, and not our boy, but with reworked AI and his own theme. Truly unfortunate.
He fits into the lore even. The Official Lore mentions an unfinished mechanical Brain of Cthulhu…

Most people don’t realize that Re-Logic probably can’t add the old console stuff because 505 Games owns those assets.
But they can't they make a different sprite texture for it then

It's weird because even though everyone refers to ocram as the final boss, it's not true because he's crafted alongside the mechs. He's pre plantera/golem content (duke fishron was mobiles final boss) ocram did however drop armor that closed the gap between post golem armor and moon lord armor. Adding it back with it's original drop table would trivialize moonlord due to the inflated defence and dmg boosts these sets had.
Ocram is Marco backwards, and according to the wiki Marco was the guy who programmed Ocram.
I'd love a revamped Ocram in 1.4.4 or 1.5, with his special armour reimplemented or revamped
I miss him, and want to see his glorious return
Imagine if Labor of Love's greatest secret was the return of Ocram, completely revamped, serving as a special post-Moon Lord boss that had been drastically ramped up in difficulty.
I still just want ocram to come back with a complete rework for his fight
Not only going against ocram was fun, the dragon armor was pretty busted too! I remember using a dragon helmet and two other pieces of mismatching armor which gave the most melee damage and defense

@@kokusei3948 Nope when I received the 1.4 update they were replaced with the amount of money they costed. They might be obtainable but when I looked in my chest there was just gold and platinum coins
It would be interesting if they decided to add him back in as a proper unique boss in one of the future final updates.
I actually like ocram’s design and I beat him as a child so it’s nostalgic for me
Pretty happy to say that I had the chance to take him on. Recently got my first PC in like 5 years before that I was playing on console right before they had everything up to date.
It's crazy to think after 12 years of playing I'm actually going to finally see and end credits for the game. It's honestly crazy to think how long this journey has been. I remember when there was no future updates really being planned. It's so crazy to think it's made it this far.
Ocram was a great boss, sad it was removed :(
They should really try and bring ocram back. I know they probably wouldn’t be able to, I would love to fight him again, and maybe buff him?

I used to have an Ocram trophy in my legacy world but it was changed into random painting and I was absolutely devastated when I found out.
Honestly it wouldn't hurt to have him in the game along with what we have now. It just makes it more... Nostalgic you know

The armor got reskinned later though, and it was pretty cool. I really wish they'd add him back as an alternate to plantera or something

Well I always thought Ocram was the mechanical version of the brain of cthulu.
I really loved phased 2 ocram. The demon scythe the laser spam it was very intense and I loved it.

I remember digging a small trench and standing still cheesing ocram
Inbefore it's even a YT short. I know that abrupt end means it is supposed to loop. I only ever faced Ocram when I had the game on PS Vita, which was how I first really got into it. Then once I put about 200 hours in, I bought it on steam through a sale and became even more hooked.
I remember me and my brother getting super ready for the fight and killing him in like 5 seconds with cursed hatchets

Who remembers Turkor and Lepus
I’d love to see Relogic take a shot at Ocram as a post Moonlord hidden boss, or as a world seed exclusive. Maybe that world seed could even include revamped versions of Turkor and Lepus
Hey Chippy! Don’t forget about Lepus and Turkor the Ungreatful! Super fun bosses that were really unique, and even though I think Lepus has KS ai, Turkor definitely has its own unique ai.

Even though it was made of reused assets, Ocram and its drops still felt very unique. I think this is because in spite of its rehashed ai, it just had such a different feel to the other bosses. It felt like a bullet hell, but instead of being focused on speed and running towards the enemy like the Moon Lord, its fight was all about distancing and precision.
I remember playing the mobile port and beating Ocram. The old mobile port was actually really good. The way it is now is not though.
New mobile version is way better given the many additional options you have

3ds final update still has ocram, and to this day I think that having 120 defense AND getting one shot by ocrams dash makes him the strongest terraria boss I've fought ( I was using beetle armor and terra blade) but it is worth it (unless your ranged) because when you get the dragon armor bonus it gives you 21 percent more damage and melee speed making it to where you can beat any boss with the terra blade because of how many projectiles it shoots
P.S they ended up changing all of the ocram weapons and armors textures
He should definitely get a secret boss status. Add some stuff make him alittle different.

A funny thing with orcram is that when he was first introduced, his trophy was glitched and sold for 75 platinum rather than gold

I remember fighting him back in the day, his sprite wasn’t centered correctly so whenever he spun around it looked weird, plus his hit box was also weird at times.

That was the cleanest transition I've ever seen
I think another reason for his removal was the crafting recipe to summon him: Two mechanical eyes, a mechanical skull, and I think about twenty bars of adimantium.
