Props. It's refreshing to see someone do a build and not blast the model with buckets of chipping and fuck loads of rust. Like 100 years of rust. Finally someone who gets it. Awesome job. I really loved the way you aged it. Thumbs Up.
SUPERB!!, Adam. And don’t you go apologising that it was quite a long video! The overwhelming majority of viewers would no doubt, like me, be captivated from the very first frames to the last. It’s like watching a master painting a very well known chapel ceiling! Magnifico 👌👌
You're very welcome. I've been a professional artist and teacher form time to time for a long time. I know the only way to learn is to fail and figure out what went wrong. No reason to hide that.
Mister, not only am I in awe of your abilities as a model builder and an artist but the video itself was extremely well done...and that is a gross understatement. Amazing, simply amazing...
Yes tedious, yes long winded, videoing the build makes the build longer, but an absolute JOY to watch for the viewer! Fabulous result, thanks for this one! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
it was fun to watch and stunning to see the final product of a long and hard built. It was worth every minute of it. Thanks for posting this and sharing
In seiner vollen Pracht! Very nice Video im still blown away by the paint job. This is the first time i have really seen a painting video like this. I will look up for more . Greetings from Hamburg, Germany
I would love to see your progress. Could you share some video updates? And if you're scratch building I have 3d files and measurements of Tiger parts down to the millimeter. Let me know If you need any help.
Brilliant Sir and thx; us amateurs are learning soooo much from you! And like you I am also way to critical about my own skills etc; that is why I "steal" tips from experts like yourself.Plz build and post more Tigers....
Great job on the weathering and the detail work! I must say that your video and the stills at the end are the best also. We are all critical of our own work so don't beat yourself up too badly, When I viewed my first videos that I had posted I thought OMG they are going to laugh and scorn my work, but instead I got nothing but praise even though I still could pick out little imperfections. And with that being said an outstanding piece all around! KEEP THEM COMING!!!
Birlliant, from video 1, through 2, and your build is fantastic. I'm a 60 year old beginner at this, but your inspired builds will help no end. Thanks for sharing.
What an excellent video. Great to see you having fun, making mistakes, fixing them and arriving at the conclusion with an excellent build. Well done and thanks... I think you have given me just the right amount of motivation to have a go at a Tiger today.
Excellent job! I like your effort in weathering your track. After spending 30 years in the army serving on tanks I have found that this is where a lot of modelers either do too much or too little. To bring out the steel color where the actual track makes contact with other surfaces (road wheels, wear plates, ground, etc) I use a product that I picked up years ago. It is called dragon scales and it is something similar to a wax that you can apply with your finger or a cotton Q-tip. Rub a dab on your finger and slid it along the surface of a length of track and it works to bring out the highlights without spreading like thin paint can do. It also touches up the center guides well also. It really works well on Panther road wheel wear plates where the center guides come into contact.
Thank you for sharing your tricks ( paper masks!) and mindset. I too find myself getting overwhelmed with complicated builds such as this. I thought it was just me... Thanks! Enjoyed the video. I must get a Tiger!
Really nice work Adam and I mean everything! You put in some serious labor not only on the model but on editing as well. I am loving that Blue Yeti sound...awesome!
Hey Adam..I've been watching videos like this, build videos, painting tutorials for years, and it's safe to say that i've haven't seen a better video than this, simple as that..Everything that you do, every little detail is just nice to the eyes from the build it self to the painting and weathering, i've really enjoyed this..Thank you, and please keep doing beautifull vids like this..Greetings from Serbia!
Tamiya paint mixing - when I get a new 10ml pot I put in 5ml of tamiya paint thinner or IPA in it from the start. Gives a perfect milky consistency for airbrushing or brush painting. Always mix before use though. Great video and awesome build there. Thanks for sharing.
Adam Mann Oh yes. This will be a first in a series of Wittmann builds I hope to have by the time I am too old to build. This was supposed to be my build for the Kursk GB back in '14. I just had way too much onmy plate then.
Nice build. I will be doing one of these following your guide. Thanks for sharing this. I've learned something's from watching. Your music and video is well done. I have subscribed. Thank you.👍✌
You build a Michael Wittmann Tiger model kit without a Michael Wittmann Figure, I scratched build a Tiger 1 in 1/6th scale and added the Michael Wittman action figure from DID Corporation!! Woooooosha!!!
Adam, Thank you so much for this video! Amazing detail! The Tiger is one of my favorite Tanks, of course anyone who loves armor, loves the Tiger. I have not had much luck with chipping effects and a sponge, but I have not given up yet. This video has inspired me to continue trying. Like you, I am my own harshest critic. I also need practice with pigments powders as I tend to over do them and end up having to take them off and start over. Please keep these videos coming. I enjoyed this one very much.
+John Richards Thank you so much, and I will keep making these. They take some time to produce, but I find are worth the effort. Just take your time with chipping, and if it helps do what I did here and clear coat before it so that if you over do something you can simply wipe it off with water.
EXCELLENT !!!!!! Superb vid Adam... That chipping worked well and that rust effect you used is really interesting, certainly worth expanding on. Well done on that. Some of the best things that happen are happy accidents... very cool work with the pigments and wheels. It's funny... what you filmed in 45 minutes took me almost 4 hours and 4 parts haha. Well done Adam.
Adam, the Tiger turned out great, like the camo results. Nice video, especially liked the oil weathering and the pin washes, plus the tips on the chipping. Did you clear coat again before you put the rust wash over the chipping? You made it look easy...
WOW! Spectacular work! I am not one of the guys down with the super muddy/filthy/streaky look that seems to be all the rage these days because I think it hides too much of the detail. This is a perfect blend!!! Well done, Sir.
That is a really good cheap airbrush for priming. This past Father's Day wife and kids got the complete harbor freight set for me, ie compressor and ab set. Since then I've added a iawata neo, and eclipse hpcs to my hobby. But the cheap harbor freight ab is good for primmers
Other commenters said it best about the modelling skills displayed in these excellent videos. I would add: great taste in music.
+Mark Pearce Wow, that's kind praise. Thanks very much.
God I love that you are talking so much about your mistakes. So much to learn from that. Thank you
You're very welcome. I've been a professional artist and teacher form time to time for a long time. I know the only way to learn is to fail and figure out what went wrong. No reason to hide that.
Thank you for listing all the paints and pigments you used. That’s very helpful!
Mister, not only am I in awe of your abilities as a model builder and an artist but the video itself was extremely well done...and that is a gross understatement. Amazing, simply amazing...
Just saw this comment. Thank you very much.

You're very welcome
Been building this type of model for years , this is the best i"ve seen ! regards.
That is praise I don't deserve, thanks very much.
Fantastic tutorial Adam...thats what this hobby of our`s is all about? Great finished product as well..top marks sir!
+soundnicetome Thank you very much.
Dude ! Your paintjob is pure art. 👍🏼👏🏻
Thank you so much, that's wonderful praise man.
Even though I’m nowhere near you level, I learned from this... if you don’t know what you want, you won’t get what you want!
In seiner vollen Pracht! Very nice Video im still blown away by the paint job. This is the first time i have really seen a painting video like this. I will look up for more . Greetings from Hamburg, Germany
+Shnks Thank you very much. I try really hard to document my process, even when it isn't good. I appreciate it.
Very inspiring. I'm going back to modelling after 20 years ( kids have grown up by now). Bought this exact model. Awesome video.
Your video inspired me so much that now I am scratch building a Late Tiger 1 in 1/6th scale!!!
I would love to see your progress. Could you share some video updates? And if you're scratch building I have 3d files and measurements of Tiger parts down to the millimeter. Let me know If you need any help.
@@AdamMann3D will do.
Outstanding build, video and presentation.
Nice work indeed, really like the detail and that you didn't go overboard on the weathering.
+Mark Thacker thank you very much.
Brilliant Sir and thx; us amateurs are learning soooo much from you! And like you I am also way to critical about my own skills etc; that is why I "steal" tips from experts like yourself.Plz build and post more Tigers....
That is a beautiful finish Adam. No short cuts. Real dedication. An absolute pleasure to watch. A brilliant learning tool too. Bravo.
+twobyfour Thank you so much, that is kind praise.
Beautiful work. Excellent video. Love to watch the work. Appreciate what you put into each video. Thanks
+dalton vickers Thanks very much Dalton, it is a ton of work. So having it appreciated means a lot.
Great job on the weathering and the detail work! I must say that your video and the stills at the end are the best also. You're welcome Adam and when you get a chance check out my meager little videos-enjoy!
That is one beaitiful model an awsome job well done
Birlliant, from video 1, through 2, and your build is fantastic. I'm a 60 year old beginner at this, but your inspired builds will help no end. Thanks for sharing.
What an excellent video. Great to see you having fun, making mistakes, fixing them and arriving at the conclusion with an excellent build. Well done and thanks... I think you have given me just the right amount of motivation to have a go at a Tiger today.
+Andrew Duggan thank you very much. That's the reason I made the video.

Really, REALLY, like your video production skills - your narration/pacing/style are spot on for the purpose.
Thank you very much. That's about as nice as compliments get.
dunno why but this reminds me of our Christmas builds for some reason looking back at it lol
Adam, great video. Your explanations and video of your techniques are very helpful and informative. Thank you for your attention to detail.
The end result is just fantastic on this one, stunning really. Wouldn't look out of place in a Wilder or Rinaldi book.
Excellent job! Thanks for taking the time to share your work
+Gary Robinson Thank you very much, It's makes the build even more fun to share it.
nice video, great explanation in what you are trying to achieve.Turned out great
Cheers Mick.
+Mick Mace Thanks very much.
thank you so much for making and sharing,i learnt so much, thank you again.
+neil harrison You're most welcome, thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing your tricks ( paper masks!) and mindset. I too find myself getting overwhelmed with complicated builds such as this. I thought it was just me... Thanks! Enjoyed the video. I must get a Tiger!
Your'e very welcome. Don't worry, I'm overwhelmed too. I just edit that bit out.
Incredible work. You obviously have a talent for detail.
They need to make a movie about Michael Wittman and the Battle of Kursk!!
That's a great idea! ^^
Agree also about kurt knispel and otto carius those guys and the allied tank commanders have some realy good stories with no hollywood bs
@@lennartproost Miniseries would be best to get most of their stories.
William Falls ya but a 2 hour long movie would also be something nice
God forbid the Germans are shown as courageous.
Wow that looks brilliant.
...very nice. I think your my favorite modeler now.
Really nice work Adam and I mean everything! You put in some serious labor not only on the model but on editing as well. I am loving that Blue Yeti sound...awesome!
+TacticalJackalope Thanks Andy, I think I finally figured out how to get a good result out of that Mic. Thanks Again.
Nice build, enjoyed both parts.
I really enjoyed this video and everything you did was well explained! your finished model just turned out awesome! Beautiful model!
Jan.
+RollingThunderModels Thanks very much Jan, I'm pretty proud of it.
I really enjoyed watching done a very nice job
Thank you very much.
Great job, looks just perfect. Thanks for the tips. Waiting now for my Tamiya 1/16 rc Tiger to arrive. Regards
Thanks. 1/16 will be awesome.
Very nice Adam, the more I look at your models the more I see you've improved quite a bit, not that they were bad before!
Thanks for posting....Paul
Thanks
As always Adam....cool
Very motivational and inspired!!!
Love those "cats"
Awesome build, great chipping techniques, going to try them on my next Tiger build.
a very nice build mate from start to finish. the chipping was good with the rust effects.

Awesome the kit and the video
thank you so much.
Great update video on your latest addition to the Tiger family!
Again, I'm a big fan of your videos. Well done!
+Gunnar Bäumer Thanks very much.
Possibly my favourite Tiger 1 build so far, stunning work!
The incredible amount of work has paid off; Awesome build!
+Felis Barcinonensis Thanks Feils. It was a journey for sure.
That's wicked mate......really nice job.....well done
the weathering process was time consuming but delivers another level of immersion, great job!
Awesome!, Thanks for your labor of love.
+D Custer Thank you very much, it is just that.
Beautiful and inspiring work mate!
Thank you very much. I hope to do more like this when I can get some time.
Looking forward to that....lacking a bit of motivation myself at the moment....so this helps getting back on track!
Dude that was strangely fascinating. Love all the detailing.
Excellent work.
Really good work. Simply wow
Thanks very much.
Very, very well done Adam!
Awesome job... I don't have enough years left in my life to even contemplate attempting that !

+Panzerbuilder Thank you.
Nice work, Adam! I'm pretty close to painting my 1331. Appreciate all your efforts on these videos. Model on!
+Russell Gosselin I didn't know you were painting yours as 1331, that's awesome. I look forward to seeing her.

Awesome video and thx-a-lot for the list of used paints.

Great work Adam! I like it a lot.

Interesting vid Adam, and a good learning curve by the sounds of it. Glad to hear the airbrush woes are behind you. Super work mate

+Hamilkar Barkas Thanks Michi, I'm pretty happy with it.
+Adam Mann Whould you sell modes? sins id like to have one for decoration and i cant paint or build stuff :D
RacazaHD
Yeah I probably would.
Adam Mann Okey do you know how much you would take for none? or in what area it would be.
I've never thought about it, but considering what the kits and such cost it's gonna have to be somewhere around $250
Very Nice! Thanks for sharing.
you're very welcome, new one coming soon with a Panther.
You build a Michael Wittmann Tiger model kit without a Michael Wittmann Figure, I scratched build a Tiger 1 in 1/6th scale and added the Michael Wittman action figure from DID Corporation!! Woooooosha!!!

Outstanding build Adam. I'll be busy trying to get all the paint colors I want to try, some really make it pop. again very nice.
+Clayton McClain Thanks Clayton.
That was freaking awesome! what a great build video Adam. Hoping to see more builds in the future!!
+sekytwo Thanks very much, and there will be more for sure. Just have to pace myself as they take a while.
Adam did you apply any filters from Wilder to the base (xf-60) ??
Beautiful work !!!
+ke1stcav Thank you.
Great work. Not over done
@@Pavlovshouse-ud5ek thank you. I like this piece a lot.
Simply wonderful - plan to follow this closely in my Academy build.
A work of art

Thank you very much Michael. It was no small job to cut this together.
Adam, the Tiger turned out great, like the camo results. Nice video, especially liked the oil weathering and the pin washes, plus the tips on the chipping. Did you clear coat again before you put the rust wash over the chipping? You made it look easy...
I only clear coated the time i showed and after the dot filter and before the pin wash simply because it wasn't working how i wanted.
